I ordered my first Stonehaven mini off ebay yesterday. One of the gremlins, he may become a goblin gunslinger for We Be Goblins. Will wait for that + hopefully they show some greens for the sculpts. I like Stonehaven but their recent price hike makes them a bit out there for me. KS prices are decent thou.

Wish they at least had some greens to look at, hard to know how these will look from just concept art.

I hear you and agree, but having backed many of their previous kickstarters I will say that with a few exceptions, the sculpts match the concept art very closely.

I think it helps that Mike is both the artist and the sculptor.

If I recall correctly they stopped selling directly and only sell their minis though a third party. Hence the price increase.

Tempting. I will probably pledge for this. The stuff that I like from Stone haven I really like. but so far each group looks like it will have at least one of their habits that I don't like. Weird flattening in their poses, like that poor half elf woman whose neck is snapped so she can look left in a completely perpendicular manner. The first group looks pretty good for the most part although the sorceress's staff will be at a weird angle, it shouldn't be too bad. I'll have to see if other groups unlock or if I'm going to have to ala carte this.

hmmm. looking at the greens on that instagram the half elf is still pointing her spear down weirdly but her head is not turned ninety degrees so that's promising at least. I actually want that mini a bit now.

Their half-dragon duelist remains one of the best minis I've ever had the pleasure to paint. Their best moments are truly special indeed.

But that price hike's still in place, huh? Drove me off their last KS. Store prices were plumb nuts. Ah, well.

Ugh, I shouldn't have looked at those greens. I'm in. Not going for the full teams (yet), but I can't pass up some of these. The goblin, kobold and dwarf got me.

I don't think the price hike affects the KS prices for them. Store prices are just a bit unfortunate though. Which is sad because I did want to back the halfling KSer but didn't have the money at the time. So now i'm not likely to ever get them.

Edit: Very much agree on that half dragon duelist

It's a 30 day project, so that's a long time to keep people's interest on KS these days. I expect they're just holding the greens to show gradually throughout the project.

I hope it does well for them - I wasn't too keen on some of the earlier stuff, as it was a bit flat for my liking, but Mike's really improved with this lot. I love that dwarf!

If they put that dragon in this project I'll have to back. A cute sleeping dragon would be awesome :ik_oops:

Even though I probably never need another Goblin or Kobold again, I really like Stonehaven's take on them.  The semi-Pathfinder Goblins but with more equipment just...works!

Yeah, the prices post-Kickstarter have gotten insane.  The last project, Adventurers 2017, was pretty expensive as it was only per-piece prices, but this one is closer to their old pricing structures if you get groups.
