StoneHaven Adventurers 2018

It's a 30 day project, so that's a long time to keep people's interest on KS these days. I expect they're just holding the greens to show gradually throughout the project.

I hope it does well for them - I wasn't too keen on some of the earlier stuff, as it was a bit flat for my liking, but Mike's really improved with this lot. I love that dwarf!

Imagine that, you liking a dwarf fig.....

Weird that they haven't sent out a notice to any of their previous kickstarters yet. I didn't know about it until I saw this.

I got a notice yesterday. Looked at it but it didn't really set me on fire. Right now I'm saving my dimes to cover two other KSs.

Even though I probably never need another Goblin or Kobold again, I really like Stonehaven's take on them.  The semi-Pathfinder Goblins but with more equipment just...works!

Yeah, the prices post-Kickstarter have gotten insane.  The last project, Adventurers 2017, was pretty expensive as it was only per-piece prices, but this one is closer to their old pricing structures if you get groups.

One reason why I had to have the  "The Stranger" Gremlin

He'll fit well with the rest of the oddball for We Be Goblins. I just hope he fits size-wise. Pretty sure he will. Love the green on that KS gremlin (goblin) as well. I just backed for 25 for now. Right now the goblin party is the one I'd choose but I may just pick & choose.

He was actually our Goblin Gunslinger during "Reign of Winter"!

Blergh! These are adorable. But I also have just gotten figures recently, and I don't have income until September and still have to move. These will hit retail eventually yeah? Some are good but not unique, and others are really unique.

The initial funding goal has been reached so it's on to stretch goals.

Unfortunately the first 4 stretch goals are the minis that make up the third set, which has already been shown, which takes away much of the excitement and anticipation.

I backed for three sets. The price seems really decent and I don't have any gremlin/kobold hero minis yet so these seem great! I have seen a ton of goblin and orc Kickstarters lately but none of them fit my taste, so I'll grab these while I can.

I'm noticing a trend of Half-Elf adventurers rather than Elf, despite their large and obvious ears and such.  I wonder if that's anything to do with the reaction to their rather different design for the Elves from the previous Kickstarter.  I know they wound up adding a lot of "companion" adventurers...I only backed due to that myself.  The Kitsune and Troll pack were excellent.

I suspect so.

I'm fine with the half elves.

Would like to see more Gnomes and Dwarves though.

I'd like a couple of the missing Half-Orc archetypes.  There's still no real Half-Orc Wizard, they're all rather specialist.

Waiting and watching on this one.  Last two they did were pretty lackluster for me, Giants aren't my thing and I have enough adventurers to sink a small naval fleet with (actually I do have a small naval fleet among the minis...)

So far this one shows promise similar to the Half Orcs, gnomes, and a few others with walk of life populations among the stabby stabby types.  No early bird so no real rush until the end though.

I’ve backed every Stonehaven Kickstarter since Gnomes, so I’m in this one too, but I’m not sure what I’d be hoping for. Other than a yak, of course...

Bunnies and Burrows is back, baby!

I only got to play two games, both of the second edition - and one was a Call of Cthulhu crossover. (Hey, Rat Things are bad when you are a rabbit! We died to a bunny.)

      About
The most unexpected enemy! The cruelest, most vindictive, and most surprising foes to challenge your players on the tabletop. No collection is complete without the novelty of a band of Killer Rabbits!
      The Origin Story:
I went to visit my sculptor Drew Day Williams at his Satyr Art Studio, to deliver some sketches and talk idea for my upcoming Triumph of Death II  Kickstarter. On Drew's work bench I noticed print-outs of medieval drawings beside a small batch of tiny little rabbit soldier sculptures. By noticed, I mean I am a super curious sort that is always digging around the cool stuff in Drew's studio. I had to ask- What's up with the rabbits, doc?
Drew Shrugged, "I just like medieval marginalia so much, and I always wanted to make a set of Killer Rabbits." Nobody else was doing them. And they needed to be done."
At that point I became super enthusiastic, "Dude! You have GOT to get these into peoples hands- You should make a Kickstarter for them."
"Oh, I suppose." Drew groaned**, "But I've never made a Kickstarter before. I've only sold my work for others' Kickstarters (like yours) up 'till now. Got any advice?"
Now, I couldn't let that line go unchallenged, so I literally clasped my hand on Drew's shoulder, "Don't you worry, Buddy. You finish sculpting these figures, and I'll help you make a Kickstarter for them! The world (read myself as well I am sure others) need these!"
** Groaned may be a bit dramatic, but that's what happens in a retelling.
      The Campaign:
This modest Kickstarter is for a limited range of small, 25mm-ish scale Killer Rabbits, cast in pewter, in a variety of poses, wielding a variety of weapons all based upon 11-14th century art found in the margins of medieval manuscripts, based on... wait for it... rabbits!  Like these images which were used as the concept art for the miniatures.
Concept art from unknown awesome monks! Rabbit "noble" mounted on a hound with his hunting snail- how cool is that?! Drew has already sculpted the base 10 figures thus far, and is poised to sculpt additional miniatures and even vignettes should you the backer build up to those stretch goals!
In the awesome event that all of the planned stretch goals for this Kickstarter campaign be met, Drew will vow** to continue on developing other ranges of designs drawn from the same sources, expanding a line of unique and lively models based on the figures found in medieval manuscripts; the beginnings of Marginalia Miniatures.
** Again, my dramatic embellishment here, but vow sounded so... monk like.
