June 5: What's your favorite season? What do you like about it?

I like all of them

Spring - Nature, rugby, days getting longer

Summer - Sunny days, beer in the garden, cricket, swimming in the lake

Autumn - Nature, festivals, days getting shorter, more rugby and the new NFL season

Winter - Jumpers, wood fires, Christmas, double duvets

Thanks, Xiwo Xerase!

Way too many to list, but I've been buying a lot of Sandra Garrity's sculpts recently.

June 6: If you were in charge of your favorite movie/tv franchise, what would do with it next?

I'm going to be greedy and choose three

Babylon 5 - Remake, with a full story span over five series

King Arthur - Shred, burn then p*ss on the ashes of the recent abomination and make a series based on the 'Warlord' chronicles.

Department S - A modern remake, outrageously non PC and with myself cast in the role of Jason King

I think I'm going to go with a few not so hidden ones...

02955: Krokuta (yeah, she's grown on me a fair bit)

14611: Gnoll Reaver of Kargir

14597: Toghara

.... And of course 77177 Wyrmgear due to so many possibilities.

There are many great minis in there.

I still want to get this one.

The ordinary folk. The NPCs. Townfolk. Non-Adventurer, Background characters...

As an Example: Type in “cardinal” and Number 02087 turns up.

To steal from Groucho Marx, "I wouldn't belong to ANY club that would have ME as a member."

And I'm not sure about "hidden gems." There are plenty of favorites, but I'm not sure how "hidden" they are. The whole point of the company is to sell things, yes?

So I came up with this question after finding 01444: Monique DeNoir (54mm) buried in the special edition miniatures category in the store (although that might be my fault since I tend to sort items by SKU).  I don't remember seeing a release announcement for this figure.  (I suspect this is a rerelease of a 30xxx Master Series miniature but I'm not certain.)

One of my favorite figures is 03073: Sarah the Seeress, who appears to be a sensibly dressed adventuring sorceress.

I'm also fond of Talin's art book (25008: The Art of Reaper Bones by Talin), which I believe was originally released as an add-on for Bones 3.

For hidden gems type Olley or Garrity in the search. Or Ridolfi + Undead.

Not hidden, really, but Juliette, Sorceress.

I have now converted and painted 5 different versions of this figure for various players in my D&D games. I've modified her to be holding a staff, a dagger and a sword. I've made her dress more closed off, longer, and once even shorter, as well as added more pouches and accessories to her belt.

02047 Samantha of the Blade

02338 Stern Kestrelman

I've painted two of each, because they're so useful for RPGs and because their details handle painting so well.

The Buzzards/Vultures are my current favorites.

I used to like all the parts when they were available separately from the minis.

Ben Siens lizardmen. I picked up a whole army's worth from the factory bins at ReaperCon when I went a couple of years back, still need to get them started.

Huh usually I put one of these up sooner than this. Just been busy I guess.
      Who's all going?
How did you fair in the hotel lottery?

       So Sunday was event registration.
Did you get into the events you wanted?

My group did fairly well at the hotel thing this year even though we had to split the group this year. both hotels are fairly close.
I got into most of the events I wanted. had some issues with the priority system preventing me from getting into events because it conflicted with another event that I would only be going to if I hadn't gotten into an earlier time. Yet some how it did allow me to sign up for 2 Speed paints that conflicted with other events that I got into. (and I only realized one before paying)
Also I just a bit ago remembered that I wanted to do a Frostgrave event but they are all sold out already.

We're still going strong! Incredible. It's been a bit, so poke me if I ask a duplicate. I've missed y'all.

      The roolz:

      The obligatory rules posting:

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.
1.5. If I fail to post a question, Inara (possibly) will post a question of her own choice.
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted between 6AM and 8AM EST
3.5 (Rule 3 may be the 2nd most broken rule.)
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me.
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why are always fun).
      7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day challenges, often starting on Fridays.

I will be posting late the night before as I won't be awake super early in the morning.

Blame @Bathory for the thread title and unofficial goal for this month...

If you're like me, you've got a bunch of unfinished projects collecting dust. Rather than start something new, why not finish something old?

      My goals:
Finish stone giant and these guys

I was at the 2018 Adepticon in Schaumburg, Illinois last month helping out at the Reaper Paint & Take tables.

I took pictures of the stupendous international Crystal Brush competition entries and other minis and terrain with an eye towards the interests of the people on this forum. Also some fun cosplay and miscellaneous interest.

I can't guarantee my photographs are great. I was using two cameras with very different capabilities and strengths and I am not a professional photographer. Some of the pictures use a very harsh flash because it allowed for super sharp enlargements of detail, something I thought painters here would be interested in.

I didn't know which entries would win the Crystal Brush competition, and as it turns out I missed the third-place winner. I have got pictures of the first and second place winners.

So to begin with, here is this year's first place entry, "Apocalypse", a diorama by Michal Pisarski.

And this is the second place winner, "The Name of the Wind", a diorama by Sergio Calvo. My pictures of this are not so good, I'm afraid.
