This is a little sideproject from my Lost World Project

WIP here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&

I think it deserves it's own WIP.

It will be covered in the Lost World as well, but there it will be interrupted by the other things I paint and build there.

With courtesy to @malefactus , @Peithetairosand @Chris Palmer for inspiring me with their awesome terrainbuilding.

It all started when I noticed my spare base from Kaladrax.

Kaladrax was put on a crypt as can be seen here: http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/77556-kaladrax-on-her-mausoleum-by-glitterwolf/

At first it was just an idea, putting some jungle stuff on that.

But then things kinda got out of hand a bit.

A little filler, clay will follow.

Some branch I found and will become a treetrunk or something.

I have a feeling this will be pretty spectacular when finished.

I'm inclined to agree.

Very good start, GlitterWolf!

Ideas for placement of Plantmonster and Jungle Plants.

The latter ones will be in the river.

Final version might vary.

I mixed a nice Umber Craft Paint with Reaper Christmas Wreath for the muddy green.

Driftwood, treetrunk ( piece of large branch I found) and some stuff glued on.

Plants not glued yet due to painting.

The Plantmonster fits perfectly in that spot on the Kaladrax base!

It waits around the corner for unwary creatures and travellers.

The river provides it with plenty of food,

Come to think of it, I might need to add some skulls etc..

Much more vines and plants and water will come.

End of the week I can visit the garden centre again.

Maybe they have the wire Malefactus recommended and then I can try to sculpt thicker vines and maybe a small treetrunk myself.

Ifnot, I will have to make due with what I  have now.

There will also be more small critters.

This piece will be loaded with small details.

Prepare for a "spot the critter" game when it's done.

For my Lost World Project WIP here:  http://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/69308-lost-world-project-glitterwolf-paints-coldblooded-creatures-and-conquistadores/&page=138
I'm creating a piece of terrain filled with all sorts of critters from my jungle.

These are 3 Ral Partha Velociraptors, 1 Bombshell Raptor Baby and a Toy Triceratops Skeleton.
I added feathers to the Raptors and skin and blood on the Triceratops skeleton.
The Raptors are feasting on their fresh kill.

Eventhough they are part of a piece of terrain that isn't finished yet, I wanted to show them off separately.

      Enjoy!

      The Drowned Earth...
...is a tabletop miniatures game where brave heroes and villains risk the dangers of the wilds for glorious riches and ancient technology!
Played on a 3ftx3ft table.  5 (or more) models a side.  Scenario based play. Beautifully cast, multi-part metal miniatures.  The game is set in the land of Ulaya, a tropical world of flooded cities, overgrown ruins and terrifying predators.

      About the Development Process
When I decided to create The Drowned Earth I had Four simple design briefs. I wanted the game to have:
A Parkour/ Freerunning movement system. Rules which told a narrative through a dramatic reaction mechanic. A streamlined, elegant system which was quick to learn and easy to remember. An unambiguous rules set suitable for competitive play.  Two years of development later, and I think I've ticked those boxes, and many more! The Drowned Earth is the kind of game you can tell stories about, without once talking about the mechanics or the dice you rolled.

Models leap off buildings, guns blazing, dodge bullets as they run through open ground, and swing from vines to take key objectives. It truly is a cinematic, narrative game full of knife edge choices and story moments!

      About the Miniatures
I've watched and backed a lot of Kickstarters, and passionately want to avoid the pitfalls many of them experience with late delivery, quality issues and production bottle necks. As a first time producer I have done as much research as possible to mitigate risk.

To that end I have established full production pipeline and have actually gone through a complete production cycle with an outstanding metal caster, to deliver to you the best metal miniatures I can. Pictures speak a thousand words.
