Podcast recommendations?

Recommended Posts

I have finally broken my aversion to listening to others ramble about their favorite subjects and have also started resisting the urge to argue with recordings.

I find myself looking for podcasts that are mini related.  Anyone have recommendations or is there a post that covers this that I missed.  Casts that are recognized by Amazon's echo would be even better.

Does the group mind have suggestions?  Things you listen to when painting?

These are mini and tabletop gaming related:

Paint All The Minis.

The D6 Generation.

Meeples And Miniatures.

They're all what I'd call family friendly as far as language and subject matter.

I'm surprised by how many podcasts out there aren't.

I will give these a try.  family friendly is no longer an issue for me.  the Rexlings are all of the age where if they dont like the language they can cover their ears.

I take your point though, lately it has become in vogue to add epithets and swearing where it is not necessary.

The only gaming podcast I listen to these days is The Adventure Zone. There isn't any talk about miniatures in it, but my daughter and I love it. It's just a D&D 5E adventure with a genuinely hilarious group of characters. I used to listen to a few a while back but can't remember any of the names. Wish I could be more help.

From Canada, there's Geeks of the North that's about the miniatures hobby. Though in English, the hosts are French-Canadian (like myself), so the accent is at times quite prominent.

I enjoy Joe & Steve on Game Classy (but the language can be far from family friendly) but if you do get on with them they put out an episode every two weeks and are involved in a bunch of other casts too https://gameclassypodcast.podbean.com/

Flock & Awe is minis related but less than regular at the moment, but worth a listen through the back numbers if you can understand the accents

After Hours is a bit hit or miss but painting/minis related and worth a try  http://www.models-workshop.com/podcast/

If you're into boardgames more generally then Shut Up and Sit Down is good (but they're about the games not the minis)  https://www.shutupandsitdown.com/podcastle/

and i'll agree with Darsc on the D6 generation http://www.thed6generation.com/ who again put out regular podcasts and have a deep vault of back episodes

http://www.darker-days.org/ darker days radio is sort of focused on the white wolf rpgs, but does branch out to other gaming/mythos related stuff

Oh and a couple totally unrelated to minis/gaming

http://www.shippingandhandlingpodcast.com/  Two literary agents talk books, fandom, writing, and beyond is interesting and entertaining

http://channelendgame.com/category/podcasts/partyloaded/ is about video games

Not a podcast exactly, but I enjoy having the Tabletop Minions "Every Other Sunday" live stream playing while I potter around. I never catch it live because it's on at 2am on Monday morning here.

Except that Season 2 is a Monster of the Week game...
