Finished the last mini from the LTP Layer up kit. I'm happy with how h turned out and learned a lot about where to place highlights. Now just have to transfer that to other minis.
and here are all the mini's from the kit in order of painted. Best face still goes to Ingred, but Hajad has better skin, Anirion is probably the weakest paint job of the 3 but still looks good

This is the second time I've painted Fineala. She's being gifted to my friend Riley who seems to be her living counterpart.
Her base is a combination of Blond Shadow, Blond Hair, and Brown Wash. It's the first time I've used that for wood and it gives a nice laminated effect that matches the floor of the resturant.

She comes with different options.
One fully clothed with hat and bustier and one topless.
The Macaw was also optional.
Here is the Hatless and NUDE version, LINKED:
The safe back and mug shot:
Here is the Clothed version with all options.
These are the set BFM MLS003 from Bad Squiddo, which I have discovered is called "Vampire Thralls", although in my notes I call them "feral vampires" and I think of them as more unaffiliated vampire pirates or swashbucklers.
(Although thinking about it, it would be really difficult to be a vampire pirate, what with the total lack of shade and all.)
I painted one of them up blonde, because blonde vampires look extra creepy.
There is a WIP thread here.
As ever, comments, critiques, and questions are welcome.

I'm painting Barnabus Frost, Pirate Captain, and came across an odd situation. On his left side, possibly hanging from his belt, there is an approximately trapezoidal shape that has three tassels hanging from it. I've seen things like it before, being an SCA member and fairly familiar with historical clothing, but I have no idea what it's called or if it serves any use beyond decoration.
I searched Google images, but that was no help. Does anyone know what this could possibly be? For your reference, here is the best picture I could locate of the item:
Most people seem to paint it the same color as his coat, but I like to be as accurate as I can in my painting and would like more information on this interesting object.
