You're starting septembre in lion with this guy. It is stunning how vivid the eyes are and the details on the base are a nice addition.

He looks fantastic.  Great colors and the base with the items from unlucky adventurers is wonderful.  I'm sure your players will be impressed with him, if not terribly happy about facing off with him.

OUTSTANDING! The Many Eyed One is WONDERFULLY painted in a FANTASTIC array of colors. The base is a GORGEOUS creation in its own right.

Even the translucent piece that gives the illusion of flight looks like a magical projection. VERY WELL DONE!

The orange and purple color combo works beautifully. Makes the beast really pop and also gives it a more "magical" look overall. Thinking it'd be a tough competitor in a Beholder beauty pageant. ::P:

Great work!  I’ll echo everyone’s sentiment that the color palette is inspired.  Nice transitions.

The eyes are beautiful! What did you use for the slobber?

Thank you!

I super glued clear fishing line to the back of his teeth and tongue. That was fun, let me tell ya! After the super glue dried, I brushed on glossy Mod Podge. I let it dry between layers and did 3 layers. The drippy bit of drool I made by tying a piece of fishing line to a toothpick stuck in cork and dragging it through the Mod Podge to coat it. Then used a brush to dab Mod Podge on the end until it started forming a drip. Then I let it dry and snipped it off with scissors and glued it to the back of his teeth and then more Mod Podge over the tooth and down the drip. I got the Mod Podge idea from @Metalchaos and the idea to use clear fishing line from The Crafting Muse's youtube video on making fountains.

That is just what we need....a beholder beauty pageant. Haha! Who would tell the losers they didn't win? I also doubt there would be a Miss Congeniality!

Nice color transition on the eyestalks and the eyes themselves seem to glisten - nice!

Thank you! I added refelective dots in the eyes but I also glossed them with Mod Podge so they do glisten!

This was stress relief from bad contractors and totally unplanned.
The beach base was a total whim, and works for one. I have no idea what I was thinking with the Obelix type...

These were a quick and easy paint, and I went for a realistic tone to match the sculpts. The victim pile is supposed to be a base element for them, but I decided to keep it seperate as a scenery piece.

The shinyness on the fellow in the back is due to the black wash not being entirely dry when I took the pic.

Back from Reapercon and working on the little's PC for our inconsistent dnd game.  She's super tiny but I really like the sculpt.  Gripes about plastic, and the mould quality though.  It's a wizkids preprimed number.  I wish they did these in metal.  She's coming along nicely.  Her skins are the rosy skin triad with some of the fair skins mixed in.  Hair is intense brown, vmc orange brown pumpkin orange and then pumpkin orange and rosy highlight, then tiny bits of rosy highlight. Her eyes are I think leaf green, and tiny.  Kiddo is requesting some purple socks with stripes so that is the next thing.  Enjoy:).

These guys took a bit more time than I expected, but I'm happy with the overall results.

The one on the left was inspired by Manfred Von Carstein and the other by Vlad Von Carstein.

I chose Not Manfred's colors with "Vampire Wizard" in mind, but he kind of resembles a French noble during the Terror fleeing from the guillotine.

The renders on the back of the blister showed various detail on the clothing and I tried to emulate that in gold.

Lunging at prey, casting Hand of Dust, or does he just talk with his hands?

On Not Vlad, I did the details in silver, as I was going for "Classic Vampire" style with him.

I tried to freehand a bit of detail onto the sheath, but the blade was too thin to really do much. It works from a distance though.

About to show those meddling kids that when he says "Get off my lawn!", he means it.
