The grotesquerie of the Innsmouth hybrids shines best when juxtaposed with regular, non-transmuting humans. Reaper's got a lot of pirates, but up 'till recently few modern-era sailors. Still, both of these piratical individuals could pass as more colorful specimens of the pulp era.

59030, Red Petals Su, was another miniature I'd painted about three or four years ago when I was just getting started, but she came out less ham-fistedly than most of my work. She's a fierce lady and has no time for superstitions about women on board ship!

Meanwhile, Stieg Brinegrog (03627) I painted somewhat more recently. This Bluto-esque sculpt is worth every penny. Lumpy, huge, and comically hypertrophied, with arms that would make an orc jealous. He has a fine mustache, too. It would be irresponsible to paint that much skin all the same, so I gave him a sunburn/tan, some shoulder- and chest-hair, and a nice treasure-map tattoo. And there's plenty more canvas left for further tattooing, if I run short of stuff to paint in the future!

"D'yarr, I'll get yez someday, ye fishy milk-livered ********ing ***** of a ****-*******ing ****-****er!"

The club's next Ghost Archipelago campaign starts this coming Saturday, so I am taking advantage of the day off to make sure that I am ready.  We are starting with new crews, and my new spell caster (warden) has a spell to create a little piece of blocking terrain, so I decided that I had better make a few today.  I am hoping/expecting that 6 of them should be enough. The parapet is supposed to be 2" long and a half inch high, so I pulled out some 50mm cavalry bases to stack stones on.

      Step One:

Glue on stones and wait for things to dry.

Seeing this map of the 100 Acre Wood on my Facebook feed made me think what a neat scenario map it would make.  This got me thinking how cool a Pooh based Crew would be for Ghost Archipelago.

I immediately thought of Reaper’s Werebear, and Wereboar for Pooh and Piglet as the Heritor and the Warden.

And coming up with an anthropomorphic Tiger, Owl (Bones Black Owlbear?), and Rabbit shouldn’t be hard.  For Eeyore I thought I could convert a Minotaur.

Anyone actually make a Weredonkey or Werehorse?

My real sticking point is Kanga and Roo.  Does anyone make an anthropomorphic kangaroo?

More recently finished works, here are the female Soldiers for Frostgrave.  I really liked these kits...the entire plastic sprue is a callback of equipment and options to the first Frostgrave release.

      First, the metal Specialists:
