The August September Mushrooms

Recommended Posts

They look even better in their natural environment!

The tree looks like it approves of it's new neighbours.

Thanks, Glitter. I am glad you like them. I was going to do a black background, but using the photo stage was an easier...laziness & sloth win out once more.

Now that you mention it, the Tree does seem to be fond of the Mushrooms. It's best not to think of the reason.

Thanks, Lars; the reply & morale boost are appreciated. Doing the faces is wonderfully enjoyable. I am delighted you like them.

Once again wonderous fantastical mushrooms! Love the colors and great shading. For some reason my fav is the squat guy in the first pic - such a great face.

Thanks for the kind reply, Iridil. The Fang Face Mushrooms are favorites with me also. The possibilities for expressive faces & endearing smiles is endless.

These always remind me so much of Brian Froud's work... similar character. I could totally see them in a book with his faeries!!

That was very kind of you to say. Brian, Wendy, & Toby Froud are THE Faerie Folk. I love the work they did with Jim Henson.

I am delighted you can see my stuff working with the Froud Faeries.

As always, you have surprised us once again with that Madcap Genius of Yours'.

Oh so well done my kind sir.

Thanks for the kind & enthusiastic response, Jay. As always, you have made my day.

The "off to Spain" Guys will eventually be doing just that....one of the Lead Adventure Forum Guys will be getting them.

I am spreading international good will through my Mushrooms. I might be up for a Nobel Prize in Whimsy if they had one.

Awesome work as always, very colorful and full of character. I love it.

Thanks, Metalchaos....happy you like them. I don't think I could pull off subdued or subtle if I tried.

The "character" part is a product of too many cartoons as a boy & being a bit on the nuts side myself.

Always fascinated with looking at these fungi, but they the more I see of them together, gathering their forces, the more I get a little freaked out.
