And the whole point, of the entire broadcast, is lost, rendered moot... ....no one sees the ball touchdown

Yes, I had more fun watching the Good Place, and Thor Ragnerock (again) with my Eldar Spawn, as we waited for midnight.

Thanks for the explanation,  what went wrong was not obvious to my overtired brain,  just that it sucked.

Last Question, Dec. 31st, New Year’s Eve, Double Bonus Round:

What is the best thing that happened to you this year?

Do you have a plan (party, fireworks?) for New Year’s Eve?

Best:   Reapercon - my second trip, and despite losing my voice, even more fun than my 2016 trip

For new years - ran a good game of D&D for Eldar Spawn's group.  ending in early afternoon.

My NYE plan was to watch TV late into the night with Eldar Spawn, then watch the ball drop.

- this was more fun than expected Wifey stayed up with us  till1030 binge watching "The Good Place"   which was super funny, we went through the end of season 1 and the first 2-3 of season 2

Ball drop was terrible.

Yeah, I haven't watched any of that nonsense in years (over here we have the elevator going up the space needle, which (as far as I remember) explodes into a rave light show). Hubby and I watched a cute anime, paused to toast the "Year of Our Baby", then went to bed like old fuddy duddies

I would certainly enjoy the questions continuing, but if no one wants/can do it, I'm not gonna twist their arm. If I attempted it half the days would be missed, and the other half would likely be baby related.

The time for questions is over! It is now time for ANSWERS!

*checks threads* .....oh wait, no......looks like it's still time for questions. Carry on.

      Goal

The purpose of this thread is to gather in one place all the visual answers to the oft recurring question, “How big is Reaper miniature __ __ __ __ __ ?”

That question comes up about once a week; but always about different models. This thread is meant to serve as a place for those foolish kind souls who decide to answer in detail with a photograph to post their work.

      Guidelines for such photographs

“...Posed in front of an inch or centimeter grid, and / or with a ruler laid out in front of, above, or behind them, and / or next to other Miniatures for comparison...” Comparison pics are the most useful because the numerical height of a model doesn't always tell you how bulky it is, or how exaggerated the features might be. Common objects like paint dropper bottles, figure bases, and specific Miniatures like Sir Forscale (76543) can acquaint the viewer with size of a new Mini, especially while standing on a grid. The best comparison shots are like police line-ups: several miniatures side-by-side in front of an easily-read scale.

@Pingo @redambrosia and @lowlylowlycook contributed most of the wording in the preceding paragraph (which I edited a bit).

Welcome to Getting to Know you, September 2018 Edition.

Here are the roolz, copied directly from @Crowley's post from last month

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question.
1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, and random forum members are all chomping at the bit to step in and take my place...
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted between 6AM and 8AM EST
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to me.
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why are always fun).
      7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day challenges, often starting on Fridays.

The most important thing is to have fun! In fact, its now mandatory

You thought you were rid of me... you thought "Thanks Gygax's Leather Dice Bag, July is over and we're through with Crowley's stupid questions!"

      YOU WERE ONLY HALF RIGHT!

July IS over, but I HAVE MORE STUPID QUESTIONS!!

Now, as a reminder, the obligatory rulze posting:
