Found a list of equipment with suggested prices.  http://dnd.johnmasterson.com/dreambird/equip.htm

I'll use this as a basis.  I dont see myself buying anything too out of the box.  Any kind of run down warehouse/mill area I can use to set up as some sort of shop/fabrication area.? May also use it as living quarters.

Those spaces have all been turned into condos (seriously!) You'd probably be looking at something suburban. Lots of commercial lots.

I didn't post that equipment link because it seemed mostly specialty, and related to one homebrew campaign (high end laptop + stuff... 100,000$, but no regular laptop etc. ) So i don't think it'll be too useful.

I was mostly looking at it for the tool kits.  I really don't want to surf HomeDepot and make a list of all the gear I need.  I might end up buying some of it for real!

So, hope this works, then:

Looks like undercover agent barista girl is the most useless character in combat so far. She's still in charge unless you can find someone with a shinier badge. ::P:

I figure I should wait for feedback on what PIA gear Charity must (not) have before adding more stuff, right?

I figured on my equipment all I needed were the clothes on my back and the guns I have on my person.... And of course my reloads...... That just leaves some cash to purchase food and drink while I search for my brother.

Okay, let's see how I did with a crash course in a system i havent used in years...

This is Morgan Faustus.  He is a Unitarian Universalist chaplain who has dedicated himself to making the world a better place by removing darkness, by force if necessary.

Let me know where and how many times I messed up in the design of the character ::D:  I used the Exorcist template so I hope it isn't too bad...  Also, let me know if you cant read the file.

  1. The forums aren't loading for me on my phone and I'm not on my laptop often before evening.
  2. I posted the link earlier, I think it's gurpscharactersheet.com you can see it on the pages. You have to register.
  3. There's the other link I posted too maybe 1-2 pages. Forum really weird, I didn't make a list.

I used the gurps character generator.  takes a little while to get used to the interface but It works pretty well after that.

Second try for my character after some minor revisions... (I did better than I thought) I also added equipment.

Pssst, it's spelled Chaplain, also an interesting side note for you. Justin Moon, son of Dr. Moon who founded the UU, is the owner of Kahr Firearms. Holds about 2 dozen patents and makes great concealment pistols. The company also bought Auto-Ordnance, who make the Tommy Gun!

No spell check on the generator.

You just cant trust those moon men ::):, you never know what they are up to.  Though, honestly, from what i know about the UUs there really isnt any conflict with the religion and owning a firearm manufacturer.  In fact they would probably take an entire session to discuss the ramifications of bringing people closer to their beliefs by letting them get closer to their maker...

Reminds me of the joke about the afterlife:  someone shows up at the hall of gates of heaven and asks about the large group arguing one cloud over.  The gate keeper responds that its the UUs and they are still discussing the existence of hell and heaven and where they should be placed... they have promised us an answer in just a few more eons.

The ones I know are pretty fun to hang around with, as long as you dont need an existential question answered.  Discussed sure, but answered?  not so much.  I am basing the characters personality on the ones I know so please don't hold me to the standards of other groups.  They sort of embrace chaos in their desire to do good... or not as the discussion takes them.

Wait, we're using Monster Hunters? Now I'm tempted to have Charity have Prophetic Dreams to go along with her Nightmares...

(I'm not sure where to find the points for it, though. Oh, hmm, there'd be room for an extra disadvantage. Ah, but it'd be a too-nonstandard advantage anyways.)

More importantly, go over MH gear. I think that book actually has some useful non-combat/style stuff.

Sorry if I. Caused some problem.  I just added gear that I could get from Amazon.  I don't think our GM wants anything but what was given.  Problem with these sheet creators is you never know what is what.

No magic was pretty firmly put down in the rules.  I don't think I messed that up but if I did it's my fault and younshoukd not treat it as cannon.  I only went to that list because it had duct tape and a flashlight and some other basic materials that could be bought in wal mart. Dont make Lexomatic regret inviting me...please?

These are a bit of resin terrain from Ainsty Castings in the UK, Fire Hydrant x2 Different Based, SKU 8205.

They were really simple to paint. The gravel is molded on.

They might be a smidgen oversized. Here's a scale shot with a figure:

Pendraken is a company that does a wide range of 10mm historical and fantasy minis.  Occasionally under other trade names  they branch out into some other
stuff like terrain or larger figs.  In this case they are doing 28mm moderns under the trade name Militia Miniatures.  Since their very friendly forum is my second
home as far as posting about the hobby,  I figured I would share this  here even though I don't really do modern conflicts.

      What is Militia Miniatures?
Militia Miniatures was first launched through Kickstarter in 2014, with an initial set of 10 modern mercenary personalities.  139 backers helped us reach our
goal and all of the pledges were delivered within 2 months!  It's taken a bit longer than we'd hoped but we're now back with a fantastic new sculptor and another
50 sculpts, all suitable for wargaming, roleplaying, or simply collecting and painting!

For this project, we've had 50 new 28mm sculpts produced by the extremely talented Paolo Fabiani, which are all waiting to go into moulds.  If we can hit and
exceed our target then we've got some nice extra goals planned...

Along other things, i enjoy painting and gaming with 1/2400-scale modern naval craft. Here's my US Navy contingent thus far. Lake Erie, Carney, Ramage, and Samuel B Roberts are from GHQ, the rest are from Viking Forge.

Up next are the Russians. All the surface combatants are from GHQ, the Kuznetsov and subs are Viking Forge, and the Mitrofan Moskalenko is from Shapeways.

I am almost certain this RAFM miniature, RAF02802, "Desirée Dark, Mercenary," sculpted by Werner Klocke, is meant to be the character Selene from the "Underworld" series. I painted her up, though, as a regular human.

To compare and for the amusement value, here's one of the first figures I painted after coming back to minis after a twenty-year hiatus, a few years ago. It's another version of Selene from "Underworld," this one from Hasslefree (Hasslefree HFA021: Dionne (B)).

I ... think my style has changed, some, the last few years.

This is RAFM's "Paige Fox, Reporter," which I looked at and immediately thought "Lois Lane". She's a little cartoony, maybe a little satirical, but I painted her up with all seriousness.

      WIP thread here.
