  1. Hi guys, just got done finishing up the last class for my MBA program and also just finished up a trio of miniatures after not having finished anything since about December. These two are from Ral Partha/Iron Wind Metals, a Middle Eastern themed slaver as well as a captive princess. I'm not too happy with the photos because they look a little washed out, but with the new photo editing software I'm using from my new computer, that's about the best I can do. I wanted on the slaver's shield the cyclops from the Sinbad movie that Ray Harryhausen animated, which is also a classic old Dennis Mize model, http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Image:DF-278.JPG, but I think he came out looking more like a little, angry, one-eyed pig with a horn on his head. Anyway, hope you enjoy! Mark

  3. Adrift, I think the colors came out looking very brilliant on this model. While at first I was going to mention something about the blending on the cape and how I personally am working on trying to make my blends more subtle, I realized that I really like the way the painting of the cape came out. It looks, from the photos above, very suede in texture. The blues are also sharp and smooth, and the transitions for the colors come out more artistic and add to the overall appearance of the figure, despite not being as gradated as some of the other painters' works out there. Well done. My 2 yen, Akiosama

  5. I still wanna sprue of hands in various positions -- spellcasting, open, pointing, etc. It'd save me the trouble of hunting through my drawer of hands looking for the appropriate ones.
