  1. Forgetful, Tricksey ReaperBryan, Reaper Miniatures 6-time creator 2 minutes ago Did I forget to mention that in that Fantasy Scenics Set, the Ritual Circle, Well of Despair, and Ruined Doorway are designed to fit into the Dragons Don't Share Tower and Stairs?

  2. So, my little 2-year old niece is just CRAZY about dinosaurs. I showed her the pictures of the Triceratops and the dinos in the Lost Valley expansion, and she got SUPER excited! ...Yeah, I'm going to be adding all of the dinosaurs now. I couldn't resist! NieceBoot used Adorable Excited Face! It's super effective! Huzzah! --OneBoot :D

  3. Magically Distracted She sat on her favorite stool, having gotten mostly undressed and relaxed, gently swirling the goblet of red wine in her hand as she read through the grimore in her lap... closing her eyes she gently concentrated on the spell that was before her... suddenly the books piled around her lifted up in the air as if they had minds of their own and were caught in a small windstorm. She giggled to herself and took another long drink of the wine from her goblet and continued to study... --------------------- This was a really fun project that I started up in April of this year. My goal was to get her done in time for the 'eavier metal online contest (Facebook) and see if I could place or perhaps get a random draw. I ended up uploading her about 10 minutes late, so I have no idea at the time of doing this post if she will be considered in the contest or if she will be disqualified. Either way, I had fun, I had tons of amazing feedback during the WIP and a lot of people cheering me on to get it finished. I present to you "Magically Distracted" a NSFW Kingdom Death figure in the 54mm scale, she is a limited edition resin release. Please feel free to give your comments and critiques. I'm going to check and see if I am allowed to bring a nude figure to ReaperCon this year for entry into their painters contest or not. If not, she'll stay home as I do have plenty of other things to enter as well. A few firsts on this one, I did some elaborate tattoos, magical floating books, writing in books in freehand, a completely nude figure, texturing pattern, Venus dimples, and last but not least sheer stockings (which were a lot of fun and a lot of work!). First - pics that are SFW and then I'll post some NSFW links (special thanks to @Thrym for hooking me up with his site for hosting as Facebook links expire) and for helping me out with the really cool title placard). NSFW Links One Two Three Four Five ETA: Better pics after a bit of clean-up to the OSL and added red ink to the drink.

  4. Not yet. I know approximately when (if) they (4) will be revealed, depending on pledging. Let's just say I'm on the edge of my seat. These campaigns are really not good for my blood pressure.

  6. My players are already phobic of mimics, so I posted a copy of the add-on image to our game group with the tag "Mimics. They're all mimics".

  8. *finally gets back online after packing, cleaning and traveling most of the day* *runs around flailing and squealing* GAZEBOOOOOO!!!! I'm ludicrously excited about this!!! And it's really pretty, too! Just the thing to lure players into a devious trap! Pfft, I'm going to sculpt a whole scary face that I can whip out and tack on after it turns out to be a mimic! Huzzah! --OneBoot :D

  9. Suddenly, an All-Bones Kaladrax/dire gazebo/waffle eating belly dancing Khanjira/Sophie is... possible. I'm not even purpleing here. From the days of Bones 2.

  10. I have finally finished something big! My previous max size was a big spider that I managed to fit on a 4" base, this though... this is proper! This is 77110: Deathsleet (Bones) in a white dragon paintjob. I had a lot of fun painting it and I even used some of my n00b airbrush skills on the wing membranes. Overall I am very pleased how this one came out.

  16. Wow, I really liked the video! Thanks for sharing it. Something about the improvised aspect of it, and getting to hear the sculptor take such pride in her work, made the figures all the more appealing. Makes me wish Reaper would have more sculptors show off their own work...

  22. Hi, Here is my take on the Carrion Worm from Bones 3 Graveyard expansion. The chubby and cute look (if you forego the big fangs) made me want to paint it a bit like a pink grub. C&C welcome

  23. I was hoping to get both sides of both wings done tonight, but I'm just completely out of energy. I'm literally falling asleep at my desk. So here's where the insides of the wings are at. At least I think I know how to tackle the backs of the wings to get them done a bit faster. I'm going to try to get a bit more sleep so I'm better set up for the long weekend.

  24. ObPlug: If you're looking for more mimics (the sack also works as a Bag of Devouring), ForgePrints has a mimics set. Did some quick paint jobs of some of the figures in the set:

  25. I feel rather like Reaper has been plotting this for two years, and there is /someone/ over there rubbing their hands together, cackling gleefully. ... if someone actually is, I would like video, because I'm pretty sure that would be hilarious. Gazebo or no gazebo .. that set is too good to let slide.

  26. You can fix that! There happens to be another mini somewhere around here with a set of chicken legs!

  31. In the past, Reaper has always scaled back the distance out that they reveal on the second to last day so that the KS doesn't end with a load of revealed yet unfunded minis. I assume that they are doing the same thing now.

  32. Raptors! It is always a great feeling to see something hit the Kickstarter that you have been wanting. 33. I've used this name for years as my internet alias. She was my WoW hunter for years too - and now also to the wonderful girl who inherited my account. I'd respond to it as easily as my own name. The Belgariad and Mallorean are my chicken noodle soup of books. They're a classic cookie cutter story, but Eddings is the best story teller, even if not story creator. I went to the hat shop after teaching briefly this evening. A retired gentleman was throwing a hats party for his wife, and let us know to have extra staff. They were a great distraction from being sad about Flicker. A lot of cheerful ~50-60yr old folk trying on hats, all polite and fun. My roommate helped me bury Flicker in the backyard under a tree. She has a big quartz as a tombstone. I think the poor snake choked on her last meal; she hadn't reassembled her jaw. Something must have gone wrong when she ate it; it wasn't an abnormal size for her. Maybe she was just old and it gave her trouble. Roommate then took me out for pizza and beer. Cheers to Flicker, the darling orange snake.

  37. Well, I finally got around to finishing this young fella. Didn't see table use but the two fighter types did for a quick encounter in Hero Kids (Light) to introduce my two nephews to gaming while babysitting them. Maybe next round. Here we go with the Kid Wizard from Reaper's Adventuring Kids pack #1. Thanks for looking and any C&C you feel like sharing. Always appreciated.

  39. Well, I'm no longer lurking anymore. Now to spread my lovely presence to this forum. After backing a BUNCH of money on Bones 3, I am super excited for Bones 4! Alas, I don't have access to near as much funds now as I did those years back, to the point that my pledge is under half of the average right now. Thankfully, the Pledge Manager will be around to take our money for the next year; I wouldn't want to miss out on the dinosaur models! (Also thankfully, my wife and step-daughter are excited for many of the new models, particularly the female giants and the "cute" models, so was will be painting some models together.)

  41. The mouths was like leaves and the whole thing was like a tree in the wind, a black tree with lots of branches trailing to the ground, and a whole lot of roots ending in hoofs. And that green slime dribbling out of the mouths and down the legs was like sap!... It came crawling up the hillside to the alter and the sacrefice, and it was the black thing of my dreams-that black ropy, slimy, jelly tree-thing out of the woods. It crawled up and it flowed up on its hoofs and mouths and snaky arms. Trying to paint -that-. Mouth like leaves? And the rest of it black? Thanks a lot, Robert Bloch... I'm losing sanity points before I even get to the highlighting...

She is so bad-elf and has all the same features of her male counterparts (bald head, lean and muscular, similar attire), LOVE IT, OMG!!!

So: awesome art! I think these look much better than the old reptilian look, myself:

  46. I know it seems odd that Reaper just can't say 'Of course if Brexit would elf you over, we'll just ship from the US instead'. But we don't know what their legal contracts with their distribution centers say, and I doubt Ron or Bryan knows word-for-word either. Contracts are long, evil things. International contracts are WORSE. That's what legal departments are for. And something I've learned working as convention staff, you do not comment on contracts (ESPECIALLY on pending contracts) unless you've been cleared to do so. So Reaper is falling back on statements of principles, such as that they won't collect taxes unless they can pay them on your behalf, because doing so otherwise would be illegal. If the worries about VAT are too much for you, drop to the $1 level. Brexit isn't scheduled to be completed until April 2019 currently, and that's IF the current negotiations finish between October and December of this year. The timeline could change. And there are over 700 treaties that the UK will have to renegotiate. If the governments aren't sure what is going to happen, what chance does a mini company have of knowing? ----------- Ooooo! Blacktooth! A T-Rex by any other name... and I like the pose!

  47. From Ron in the update comments " I wouldn't categorize the Stone Giants as dinky. They're about 90mm tall, give or take a mm or 2. It's difficult to perfectly scale concept art, digital sculpts, and actual in-hand models together but we do the best we can to accurately portray the sizes."

  48. You won't be able to buy that Wyvern or that Griffon for $2.63 at retail. I am crashing, so I won't be able to update my spreadsheets after the reveal. I will try to have time before I go to work tomorrow. Expect a long day again tomorrow.
