  1. I usually keep a small stash of wrapped baked goods and things like gloves and hats ready to give out for those situations! Yeah, not a fan of bloggers new interface. I've been doing most of my writing in the html side to avoid the worst of it. Merry Christmas, Happy Yule, etc. Hamsterling first was low key. No tree or presents. Just some yummy food (for us), carols, movies, and a long walk in the park. He seemed to enjoy it though.

  3. Well, I got an airbrush for Christmas. When I opened it up, my sister saw the bowl on top and the long cylinder from the other couch and asked me if I'd take up another hobby instead of painting...

  10. New member but I've been a long time fan of Reaper minis. Started selling some of my painting on ebay and Reaper are always quick sales.

  13. Been a while since I was very active on Reaper, but I wanted to brag about my awesome wife and in-laws. Not only did my mother-in-law get me a laser cut wooden airship from my wishlist (already assembled on my display cabinet) and some scatter terrain I've had on the list, but my wife decided to go above and beyond our standard gift budgets and bought me an Elegoo Mars 3D Resin printer that I've been wanting and waiting for an opportunity in the budget to buy. I've already got some STLs from KS and other things in my computer waiting for the printer, so now I need to figure out the best place

  16. Hello everyone, I completed this one today. 03892, Dark Dwarf Striker is a Dark Heaven Legends model that was sculpted by Bobby Jackson. The other models of this series are on my to paint list. I bought the metal versions, plus two enlarged Bones Black models.

She also attempts to share that which she does manage to get her mitts on. So she has: +3 to + 5 Grabby Hands as an innate ability. You need to update that on her character sheet.

  20. The only reason that I rail against it is that I happen to work with someone that makes "Die Hard is a Christmas movie" basically his entire personality during December If a conversation even touches on the festivities, then he'll try his darnness to shoehorn it in, it's like an obsession. Personally, I think that if it's a film that you enjoy watching at Christmas then it qualifies. For instance, I use to watch Ghostbusters with my mum and dad when I was but a wee 'neko, so I always try to watch it at this time of year. Totally for got to mention w

  21. I got a few packages containing some of Life's necessities. In this case, 12 cans of Testors' Dull Cote from Hobby Lobby. AND some Green Stuff World thingies from Noble Knight: three leaf punches: Lime, Oak, & Beech/Elm/Birch/Medlar, 1 pack of Grass Tuffs XL, 1 pack of Shrub Tuffs, & G.S.W's Sculpting Tools (there was one of my favorite types included): OH BABY! Getting cool necessities is just as exciting as packages of Oh So Cool minis...at least for me.

  22. Just thought I'd pop this in. Not New Year's Resolutions (per se), and not hobby related, but what are your goals for next year? I've got a bad problem of following little quirky things that pop into my head. And this idea came to mind and I decided to follow through with it, thought I'd share here, and would see what goals others might have. Anyway, on to my goal! My goal for 2021 is to watch the top three revenue grossing movies from my birth year to now. That comes out to a bit less than 150 movies, or one movie every other day. I've already sat down and made up the

  23. Work on my mental health. Keep unpacking the house or shove a lot of stuff in the garage, either would make me happy at this point. Get outside...at all. I had been in the house from the end of October up until last week when I needed to go to urgent care. Try to maintain the yard or find and hire a yard person. Start a garden??? I think that's enough for now.

  25. Well, I decided to be hecking lazy yesterday and spent the entire day playing destiny 2. I was playing titan for a while, so the aliens lost when I punched them in the face. Okay, I don’t think it premiered this year, but we discovered it this year: The Masked Singer. It’s stupid, it’s over-done, Nick’s clothes are exactly what I want men to wear all the time, and Ken is hilarious. Plus, you get celebrities dressing up in silly costumes. Sephy loves the music.

  26. Y'know, I used to wonder a few things, like how scale modellers seemed to generally pay more attention to what was going on, or something. And then I realized... There's a reason why. Sure, every part is labelled in almost every kit, and that isn't why... It's because unlike tabletop models, where there's either a small expanded diagram about how things go together (say, like how Games Workshop does it), or you blindly stab away in the dark but it's obvious with experience (like how Corvus Belli does it)... A single "step" in the instructions could very well involve 40 different p

  28. I have a couple. One: Home improvement. I have so many little and big projects around the house that I have been putting off. From installing some trim, repainting, updating the bathroom and replacing the deck. I also need to get around to building the shed for a workshop. Right now, I have no set place to do any large scale woodworking/projects and that has been the biggest obstacle. Right now I have to dig all the tools out of the utility closet, set them up outside somewhere and then break it down. New England weather further complicates things. Two: Fitness.

  29. Work goals. My department is imploding because telework means nobody has to be civil to anyone else ever. I've sat in on three meetings and every one was a nightmare of passive aggression. My goal this year is to elfing FLEE. First step, get involved in the new hire training. I've already expressed interest and applied for the teaching cadre. Having spent Fall Term teaching university I already know I've been shortlisted with 3 other people (2 now, one guy already dropped). Step two, take the position of New Hire lead once it's offered. The department manager has 3 of u

  31. Truth be told, while I've watched things that probably came out this year, a lot of it has all been a blur. That and I've been catching up on a bunch of things. Only thing I know of for certain that came out this year would be The Mandalorian Season 2.

This time around I got some from Blick. While I haven't used them yet, the tips at least look like they are properly formed. Some painters masking tape, just in case I need some fo
