When he sent me that comic at the start, I didn't realize it was PROPHECY! Not in everyday life, but the dreams after my first shot were JUST LIKE THAT.13 points

Me too. Headachy and tired, but NOWHERE near what it was like for the first shot. But my arm hurts more, this time. Finals on Thursday. Enjoying classes more now that I changed majors, but it is also a LOT more work, and I don't feel ready. Which sadly means I am learning more. Polygons and extrusions have become the source of stress nightmares, but the feel of when I have mastered something is like a warm glow..13 points

Happy Cinco De Mayo! We're getting free lunch at work today. I think it's probably a combo deal; we're celebrating today and the fact that we had an audit last week that went very well.12 points

Randomness XVIII: Not With A Bang, But A Whimper Meanwhile, for the after school game - I took a scene from my backburnered superheroes game - and started the season finale, not with a bang, but a *BOOM!* The Underfather survived - but his orcish adopted son did not. The Underfather is Lawful Evil, but Ahngish was family, and a dwarf, by law, tradition, and adoption. When the Underfather regains consciousness, he will not be happy. A dozen others were killed as well - but the Underffather was the target. The Auld Grump12 points

I live in the city so I don't have much choice, but I've gotten used to it. I barely think about the stick shift any more. Seattle is one of the crazier cities I've driven in, and I say that after having lived in Boston. That, and I've had really good experiences with Carmax the last couple times we wanted a new car. Last time I looked up what they had on the lot and was able to walk in and say "I want to test drive these cars" and within minutes they had keys ready for me. And they did all the registration paperwork, too.11 points

I once posted a WIP thread for a sci-fi tank made from circuit board, Hot Pocket sleeves, computer parts and an eyeglass repair kit. No, that was just me... I may have gotten a wee bit intoximicated last weekend. I tried my best to put the Laws of Physics back the way they were... Irish shillelagh fighting is pretty easy to learn, although it'd be hard to find an in-person teacher.11 points

Design by Heroes Infinite Printed on my Elegoo Mars. Senliah the Seductress part of my Shifting Sands Project WIP/PROJECT HERE: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/79372-shifting-sands-glitterwolf-paints-egyptian-undead/page/20/#comments The Sultan leaned back in his cushions, the room was almost dark, suddenly the fires lit up and the music started. Senliah stepped forth from the shadows and started her dance. He was enthralled, her moves, those curves, and the thrill of the danger while she danced with that large venomous serpent! Such a show! Aaaahhh his friends would be delighted to see her at the banquet he would host next week. Senliah had agreed to perform for him alone tonight to give him a taste of what they could expect. The Sultan couldn't keep his eyes from her, such grace such beauty and yet a hint of danger. Of course there were those who couldn't cope with her being so populair. Some even talked behind her back, spreading rumours that she danced in the forbidden Temple of Apophis! Rubbish! The Sultan thought, if anyone was caught spreading such gossip he would have that person beheaded, how dared they speak of such an innocent girl like that!10 points

I haven't acquired much lately, but the one this morning makes up for it (I guess)...Mrs. Strawhat and I have acquired a new domicile. It's definitely a step up: moving back into a better area of the city, much closer to Pa Strawhat, garage, more square footage, etc. I was happy with the old one (being as it was long in the family) and it was nearly paid off. But perhaps it was time to part. Now it's time to rediscover all the things I've packed (and repacked) away (like Bones 3 and Bones 4...).10 points

No symptoms for me yet, but I only got it 5 hours ago. Arm will probably be sore tomorrow, but that's a natural response considering that a piece of metal pierced through the meat of the muscle.10 points

You say that in jest, but Hubby has to defend his plushie collection from the little monster on a regular basis The website made me confirm that I was over 18 because the image contained “erotic” imagery. Given the last panel, I think that’s relevant to ALL of us9 points

Not a bad night at work, last night, just tired of getting these big, un-needed loads. With the inventory crew there, the bosses all came in early & jumped in & helped us get it thrown. Actually came home & sprayed my minis for tonight. I decided the squirrel needed anther coat of chrome & I needed to prime that gnome (no way I'm playing a rpg with a bare metal mini!!). I'll probably just give him a quick wash & call it good. Now I'm off to bed. I wanna wake up earlier then I normally do on Weds so I can actually throw that wash on that mini. I do need to paint the squirrels eye red or something. Also, gotta black my bases. Anther one of things I'd rather see on the table vs primered or bare.9 points

#XVIII: Squirrels!!!! Gonna be a fun night tonight at work!!! Monopoly game ends today, so scan crew will come in & replace all of those. Most likely they'll get extra help to do it. Quarterly center store (ie grocery dept) inventory will start around 5 AM, so the store will be filled with goons (only way to describe those people) & who know how big or late the load will be. JOY!!! I see anther 10 hr day ahead of me. At least I've got D&D at the FLGS tomorrow night to look forward too. My character is now 8th level (gnome artificer (battlesmith) with a souped up pistol & a steel defender in the shape of a medium sized squirrel, named Dookie!! Sprayed the squirrel mini today, it's all chrome!! Since I was having sizing & printing problems, I don't have the Heroforge mini yet printed so I'm going with a Reaper gnome (2959, Marius Burrowell ) I hope to have the mini ready for next week's game, as I'm hoping the nFep I bought solve my problems. At 4th level I chose Touch by Shadow as a feat which increased my INT score to 18 & gave me invisibility as a spell or once per long rest ability. It also allowed me to pick a necromancy spell, I choose inflict wounds, as I really didn't have any melee spells. I can choose to cast that as a spell or once per long rest as well. At 8th level, I chose the Piercer feat from Tasha's. So Str or Dex +1, I can re-roll one of my damage dice & crit rolls are an extra dice!! My pistol does the following already +8 to hit 90' range Damage d10+5 & I can do 2 attacks per round. I've been using Branding Smite on it lately, so that is an extra 2d6 radiant damage. Also as a artificer, I can infuse items, my pistol has the Repeating Infusion it on, so I ignore loading & unlimited ammo!!! I did pick up a breastplate with necrotic resistance a few adventures ago, but so far we haven't encounter anything that deals necro. I've got the 2nd highest AC in our group, but I rarely go into melee combat. Chubba is one of my favorite characters & this was even before I acquired the pistol or magical armor.9 points

Yup, sounds about right, although thankfully my collection is nowhere near as large as a lot involved in the hobby. I have a reasonably ratio of completed to waiting to be started kits. Probably helps that I find most of the Earth forces stuff to be not all that interesting - I love the curves, the spikes, the ~menace~ that the Zeon designs have, whereas the Earth ones tend to be... Well, bland by comparison. Probably has to do with my love of that monoeye, and their use of axes... It probably also rather helps that I quickly fell in love with the larger scale of the Master Grade kits because of their scale making their size a little easier to work with, the various intricate gimmicks, and how a kit generally takes a while to be built up. I swear resin conversion kits had no impact on how I decided on things, although... Yeah, they do have a decent influence. I could probably get another ten kits with resin, but I do suspect I'm going to start getting more supplies to just bash up my own work, especially since sheets of styrene from Plastruct aren't that expensive at all. But yeah, if I had the cash, certain kits I wanted were actually in stock, and the shelves, I do suspect I'd have a full collection of the kits from Gundam:The Origin as well as a good amount of the Real Grade kits, and yeah, probably even 3-5 perfect grade kits in the works (three of them being Zaku II's, because I love the SH Studios conversion kits, and want a Gouf Flight Type, a regular Gouf, and the Shin Matsinaga kit). ...If I had that kind of cash I'd have to bite the bullet of some words I've said recently though, which were to some friends playfully saying "get me another boom arm and the much sturdier 6' workbench I want and we'll seriously talk". Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of streaming, but it also scares the crap out of me.8 points

Child: twice, but I was too young to remember the first one. Adult (not including going to college): 4, with the last one being 25 years ago this July 4th. Yes, though 5 years might be a bit tight. We are getting close to empty nesting, and I am really tired of suburb life. We'd like to move to a smaller place on a lake somewhere in MN or WI, with a winter home near our friends on the coast of TX. When all this happens depends on a lot of factors with my and my wife's careers, the state of healthcare, etc... "It'll make you a <bleep-bleep> sexual tyrannosaurus, just like me."8 points

"Nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure." As the first to come to mind, although I've got a couple of others that I can't recall offhand. Although Drummers' "Can I finish my drink first?" is good. Cara Gee just ... owns the crap out of that role.8 points

Though I'm not claustrophobic, they are not a cozy environment. The stretcher part is not particularly comfortable, and they're surprisingly loud, even with hearing protection. Because of the smooth, curved uniform surface, my eyes just wouldn't focus properly and it was driving me nuts. A small marking anywhere on the surface would've been appreciated. At least they got good images of my heart.7 points

I don't really have one, but two come to mind. First from Firefly: Mal: "Mercy is the mark of a great man." [stabs Atherton Wing] Mal: "Guess I'm just a good man." [stabs Atherton Wing] Mal: "Well, I'm all right." and "No.. you can't eat my brain just yet. I need it a little while longer." (Kai from Lexx)7 points

So I checked out the turn around video of the Greek Odyssey expansion that they posted recently and am super happy the Cyclops comes with a sheep he can hold. I've got a bunch of much smaller Ral Partha Hyksos javelineers that kind of look like little shirtless Greek guys, and I think one of them would fit nicely under that sheep mini. They're lead (I'll wear PPE when working with them, no worries) so one should be flexible enough to make it look like someone is hanging from the bottom of the sheep. So it looks like I'll be doing a Polyphemus versus Odysseus diorama sometime in the future. I'll have to figure out a way to make him look like he just got stabbed in his eye though.7 points

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. That's the first one that sprang to mind.7 points
