  1. I haven't painted a mini for a few years, got caught up moving interstate and starting a new job. (I am a tattoo artist, woo!) But finally sorting through my minis and paints and taking some time to tinker. I went with a colour scheme inspired by the old Hanna Barbera character, 'Wildfire.'

  4. I ordered a Frostgrave Knights Sprue and those arms and helmet just begged a go at Monty Python's Black Knight. Went for greys to highlight the cloth and blues for the leather boots and gloves to get a feel for him wearing different materials. My first time using almost all reaper paints so wanted to see how they worked, next time I'll add some washes, but really happy with them. (Traded my son 40 GW paints for 11 reaper and happy with the trade)

  6. Here are the miniatures I have painted in June: The Halloween Knight (1449), the Hound of Judgement (14215), and the Dragon of Fire (2717). I tried for a warm white on the hound instead of my usual cool white. And red is a tough colour to photograph. That is as close to his real life red shading as I could get. But I like how his face turned out.

  8. One of the sectors harboring a permanent nuclear reactor has it's cooling system down for maintenance (well, it's down for reasons beyond your clearance level). This has created an "above average" amount of heat in the sector. Spare parts for the cooling system have mysteriously gone missing. This has become a perfect opportunity for Bouncy Bubbly Beverage to test new flavors and refreshment distribution methods and maintain happiness levels with Friend Computer's blessing. Heat gradually keeps increasing. Beverage dispensers start leaking; spraying colorful syrups; burst int

  9. Some moments in time for your morning on June 28th: 1859 – The first conformation dog show was held in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. 1911 – The Nakhla meteorite, the first one to suggest signs of aqueous (water) processes on Mars, fell to Earth, landing in Egypt. 1997 – In their second fight, Mike Tyson was disqualified in the third round for biting a piece off Evander Holyfield's ear.

  10. remote guns is a good one! but yeah it's a back stab kind of game. you're a cloned worker who has been given a mission by the computer who runs the bunker where you live. the computer is hopelessly broken/insane, so your mission is likely impossible. your goal is get out of the mission alive, which is usually a mix of blaming the failures on others, completing some other task and convincing the computer that's what you were supposed to do, or finding the mutant commie traitors who sabotaged the mission and letting the computer execute them. add to that that every player is a mutant

  15. They don't need assembly, overall good quality for plastic minis. They are soft plastic though and not hard plastic, as such the detail is not as crisp, there are the usual mold lines etc. For the most part I'm happy with the models, some sculpts are broccoli, but most are acceptable to good I would say. In comparison to reaper, better than old soft bones but worse than bones black. I should have some pics a round from painted minis. Not sure if that does them any favour though, I tried some stuff on them and mostly did a rather speedy job. OK here are some pics, the see through are

  21. Don't forget you can watch Kickstarter fulfillment on https://www.twitch.tv/reaperminiatures when regular programming is not being shown. Watch all your Reaper favorites walking around picking orders. Watch them drop things. Earlier this morning they had an issue with their software that prints the orders and Jon came on the stream to talk with everyone. The orders are now being printed and people are working in the warehouse. Fans are the only relief from the heat. The overlays that show destinations and number of orders picked are not yet working, though.

  23. Way behind on these so just going to jump to today's question... So I've never played Paranoia, but now that I've read a quick synopsis of it I think I might have to try it at some point. So it looks like the "stab your buddy in the back" kind of game, so how about some weapons or explosives that are operated by remote control... except the person with the weapon isn't the same as the person with the remote for it? I love @Corsair's silly string mace idea too. I have no idea if these would fit into that system though.

  27. Some expansion - The dead priest is a clerk of Merca - god of banking and commerce. His position was with the Bank of Merca - a multinational bank controlled by the Church of Merca. The church where he was found dead is the Temple of Librum - god of justice, courts, and judgement. The Temple of Librum also holds justice on all active churches in the City and Kingdom, The Auld Grump - the symbols for both are scales in balance. One has three orbs in each pan, the other has a gavel in one pan and a sword in the other. The ducklings are adorable -

  28. Painted up a number of sailors and fishpeople, as many of you know--but I'm always looking to expand the diversity of my human crew and the grotesquerie of my Innsmouth cadre. So here are Tyrell and Yarmouth, out on a crab-fishing trip. Both are from Crooked Dice. More angles on our anglers here. The folk from Innsmouth town know where the fishing is good! There's some as say they can call the biggest catches to their boats! Subduing the catch though--that's a different matter. Fortunately, Yarmouth is

  29. I made a friend walking home from work this morning. I was close to home when I seen a black (I think, it was around 440 this morning & in shadows) cat hanging out in near my neighbors driveway. I tried to coax him over for a ear rub but he wanted nothing to do with me, it was then anther cat, came across the street. It appeared to be a tabi with white underside, it was also a younger cat (at least younger then the black one). He proceeded to roll in the dirt a few times (reminded me of Thumper, thou she wouldn't go a full roll, about 90% for her) & it finally rubbed up against me. I g

  30. Ducklings are AGGRESSIVELY adorable, and start honing their begging skills early. "Okay guys! Start looking at her in adoration, BEFORE she finishes lunch!" I thought ducks were grumpy like geese, but mommy duck was right there with her kids, being cute. I managed to eat MOST of my lunch, but next time I'm bringing something for them too. Their adorableness was too strong, my will too weak.

  40. Cheese! Taco chips! Sour cream (because some of us are wimps, not because of that one time I dumped a whole bunch of what turned out to be thai chilis or something into the pot. Moral of that story: Mystery Peppers are dangerous, use cautiously. Or, y'know, don't). That was good chili, but the only one it wasn't too hot for was the housemate, who thought it was fantastic. We all ate it, and nobody combusted, but .. I think that stuff might have counted for hot on the 'we eat this stuff all the time, what're you talking about?' scale.

  44. Justin just did a voiceover on the warehouse stream. Reaper has received the July retail release packages of Dragonfolk and Rune Wights. They have not received the KS-packaged DF & RW (they are on the missing container). So, yeah, if you have those 2, you’re stuck waiting. I’m right there with you 😒

I like this effect so far. The smaller eyes are only Sun Yellow so far. They might only get Hearth Fire in the corners, we’ll see.

So I guess it means that I get to be the 1st too wave bye at the other orders as they ship out 🙂 This is my 1st reaper kickstarter and when I look at what I ordered it didn't seem like too much, but then I removed the items I didn't get from the spreadsheet and added in the extras (duplicates) and I don't know how I am going to make it through the day when my order does ship and my wife comes to the realization that I am going to be receiving 600+ Minis (including one regular pirate
