Really not happy about Baba being included in the core set. Having gotten the core set in the last three Kickstarters I was going to give this one a pass. I'm REALLY hoping she is available to buy separately at the end of the campaign. -

How does the rate of funding for this one compare to the previous 3? -

If the dragon is ~11 inches tall, I'd say at least 5-6 inches of that is wings. Will the bonesium be able to support that, or do we think they will do plastic wings? -

For anyone wondering, 275mm is about 11 inches tall. -
Didn't we have a countdown clock for the last 3 Kickstarters or am I imagining that? I was among the first 100 so backers each time, so that leads me to believe there was indeed a timer, but maybe I'm crazy.

People complaining about fulfillment need to remember that percentage-wise I suspect most people were satisfied with the previous Bones I-III. I know it sucks to be one of the people who had a less than satisfactory experience with Bones III, and I'm not discounting your experience, but I'm seeing a lot of people posting as if everyone was disappointed with Bones III and that's just not the case. I've loved Bones I-III and can't wait for IV, even though I have far too many minis to paint already :).

This is the kind of stuff I aspire to. So good.

Me neither, I actually didn't get him during the Kickstarter as I decided not to purchase expansion....2 was it? I think. However, I really wanted him and ended up picking him up off eBay after the Kickstarter. Glad I could help with the lightbox. Some more tips - set your camera to "spot" on the exposure as opposed to auto or balanced. If you let the camera try to balance the exposure it will basically see all the white and your shot will be a dark model with a white background. Your goal is to blow out the background so it looks like it's all white with no shadows and have the model well lit. By using spot focus and a center focus point you force the camera to expose the model and not the background. I took a quick picture to show you what it looks like if you don't set the exposure correctly - as you can see the model is underlit and you can see shadows on the background. If you're using a smartphone you can usually tap on the model on the screen and it will expose for the model and not the background. I know the iPhone does it, not sure if my android does it. I'll have to check that.

Thanks for the kind words! The Space Hulk set has about 25-30 minis in it or so. I also painted a squad of Space Marines, there were 5 models in that. I do a lot of photography, and it's common to use a light box for product shots. Super-easy to make, here's mine: Here's instructions to make one, but it's easy to figure out just by looking at one :). http://strobist.blogspot.com/2006/07/how-to-diy-10-macro-photo-studio.html

I built a "light box" to photograph my completed mini painting projects. Here's Reaper's Minotaur Lord. I think if I had to do it all over again I would go for iron on his armor rather than brass, but oh well. Happy with him overall. He's my first completed "big" piece, the only other thing I've really painted is my GW Space Hulk set. Thank goodness for Youtube tutorials and the Reaper and Dakka forums, they have been a humungous help and inspiration.

I know this has been asked a million times but as we draw near to the end I'm getting nervous and want to confirm. I'm low on funds right now. If I leave my pledge at the current $100 it's at now, can I add more funds AFTER the Kickstarter ends using the Pldge Manager, and if so will the items in the Kickstarter cost more than they do before the KS closes? Please alleviate my anxiety :)....
-
$60? OUCH. Was hoping for cheaper.

Just proves you can raise the same amount with almost 50% of the stretch goals. Maybe. However, Reaper has a lot of good will from the previous two kickstarters, and there are a lot of people like me who pledged $100 immediately in light of it. I'm anticipating this KS reaching the value proposition of the previous two KS'. I've waiting on stretch goals to see how much to add. However, if I don't feel the value is there I'll drop the $100 and just do add-ons. I have tons of Bones already, and if I'm being honest one of the main reasons I do the Bones Kickstarters is that they are an insane value. If they end up being a merely OK value this time I might be tempted to drop support at the end. I'm seeing a similar sentiments elsewhere. So, let's hope they aren't going with the idea that "Hey, we can do less stretch goals and we'll still make the same amount of money!" because I fear that might backfire.

If I remember correctly DDS and Kanjira were like the last two days of Bones II. We have a long way to go before we see pieces of that caliber I think....

Now to go and read what I actually pledged for :).
