  1. For players to make custom forces and characters
  2. I think it's a army based on undead pirates. They sounds pretty cool to me. There;s even enough miniatures to make a human pirate army as well.
  3. I kinda like the idea of being able to create a custom army using special generic rules. This way Reper won't have to limit the game to just 10 or so armies. For example making a army of centaurs. You could select generic point and stats for "Mounted Archer" And a rat riding a giant rat with a bow would use the same generic stats as well. These rules would be more for like the play with friends and not tournaments. just rambling on.
  4. I live in Kentucky. The middle of nowhere too.
  5. Free fall submitted this as well. Orcs: $62 14063 Khakhan Orc Warlord (Captain/Warlord) 14049 Narg Bloodtusk, Orc Warboss (Captain) 14027 Orcs (2 packs for a total of 6) (Grunts) 14061 Orc Sergeant (Hero) 06016 Orc Archers (2 packs for a total of 8) (Grunts) 02486 Ogre Mage (Wizard) 02603 Skrug Gauntclaw Bugbear Shaman (Cleric) Sounds like a good idea. I too am wanting to get Warlord popular in my area. My friend will probally play wood elves so that saves me some money. But It wouldn't hurt to have two really cool armies at your command. P.S. post some pics and reports of your demos please!!!
  6. I think sometime this coming winter. So about a year you could say. So far typical fractions like orcs, elves, humans, dwarves, undead, mercenary etc. Anything you want to play pretty much you can. I can't answer the rest, I haven't played my first game yet. Can't wait till I can.
  7. Sounds like you had a blast. I hope I have the same experience. So tell us what happened turn for turn if you can.
  8. I never really did like board games that much unless they we're like risk of Axis and Allies.
  9. I don't mind the rule of not being able to use them in official reaper tournies. I live in the middle of Kentucky and I don't think Reaper will be close to me for a while. Nearest Reaper store is about 110 miles away. I can always invest over time enough models from reaper to replace my fluff models. The only problem about taking the desert warriors is they're about 3 bucks a piece. That would be like buying a whole dwarf army, then buying enough Jalahdran models to make a whole other army. Then again I could make a headless undead desert warband. Yeah, when I get all the supplies, I'll send you a message. I'll need a little help at first. I'll post pics as often as I can as well.
  10. I hope so. I really want to get some of those bad boys whooped up.
  11. Try downloading the Beta, it should have the answers to your questions snce everything is generic. Give me a day or two and I'll try and post the points.
  12. Necropolis: $67 (Crypt Bats) 14016 Judas Bloodspire(Captain/Warlord) 14011 Crypt Bat Lord (Sergeant) 14017 Naomi, Vampire (Wizard) 02329 Siobhana, Vampire Queen (Cleric) 14009 Crypt Bat I (3) (Grunts) 14010 Crypt Bat II (3) (Grunts) 14028 Gargoyle (Hero) 06003 Skeleton Archers (2 packs for a total of 8) (Grunts) Necropolis: $51 14016 Judas Bloodspire(Captain/Warlord) 14057 Wight Sergeant (Sergeant) 14017 Naomi, Vampire (Wizard) 02329 Siobhana, Vampire Queen (Cleric) 06003 Skeleton Archers (2 packs for a total of 8) (Grunts) 06028 Plague Zombies (2 packs for a total of 8) (Grunts) Freefall gave me that along time ago. If that helps you any.
  13. That'd be a nice looking Mini. A orc would look pretty cool like that as well.
  14. I'm wondering if anyone has a battle report they want to post, and better yet some pictures of it. I've read the 3,000 point thread and I'm looking for some more.
  15. You know all those bandages can be caught a blaze.
  16. Noot befar ye' tomb is blone to bits te the ground! Signed, the Dwarfs. I'll at least put a few axes in your mushy mummies Are your mummies going to be heavy magic?
  17. Larger Gorillas could serve as orges for a jungle themed army like Jungle Elf. And don't foget some poisend coated arrows and blow darts. Would be a good excuse to make some vines some wanted earlier. New magic and spells. Like the power to summon the aid of the jungle (Picture some large cat or animal swarm bases. Kinda like a "jungle necromancer" ) Or the power to spurt up some vines and tangle your enemies.
  18. Sounds like you've put a lot of thought into your pirates, dosen't sound like you don't need any more. The forest Orc warband sounds cool too. I don't think there is any one good army that stands out from all the rest. Since the rules are pretty much the same for each figure. It just comes down to the commander and what troop types you take. Fever, your mummies and my Dwarfs will have to go head to head one of these days. Sounds like the Lupines are going to be a popular army or unit to field. I'd field a high elf army if there were more army packs.
  19. Yeah the ale bucket sounds like a good idea. When I get them all done (probally be a few months) I'll set up a Diorama of them hiking through the desert. Or Maybe just the top of a table. You have any links to giant lizards? I'd use them instead of the beetles. I'm thinking of just putting all the cavalry on scorpians but I'll wait and see. 02763: Shrend, Alligator-Man Warrior I think I could find a home for this guy in my army. But I think I will leave it to the lizards. So many choices.
  20. Hey, as you know I'm starting up some Dwarfs to waste my friends. (I ordered some warriors this weekend) And I was wanting your feed back on the idea of a Dwarven warband lost in the desert. I'll post fluff on it later sometime. I'm trying to give the army the feel of the desert. I don't know how to mold or convert the Dwarf head with rags. I'm looking around for a color scheme that will go with them as well. Probally red and a tan color. The skin tone of the Dwarfs will be dark, since they're in the sun a large amount. The units I would use are giving me trouble. Trying to find units that would give my army a desert look and still tie into dwarfs. So far here is what I got with the help of members on the boards. 02252: Wind Elemental- I was going to paint this in a dusty color to represent the sand be sturred up. Instead of a air elemental he would be a desert twister. 02751: Stone Golem- This guy for some reason, when I look at him reminds me of a Egyptian looking figure. Maybe its the hat But the story behind him and the Dwarfs is they found him as a statue, representing a guard. He was animated and is now used in the warband. 02182: Giant Scorpion - Tammed and now used as the steed for the Warlord. 02564: Gaint Scarab Beetle- Tammed and now used for the Cavalry. http://www.rpgminiatures.com/cgi-bin/shopp...&key=CGBEWGE601 Elephant - [b'>Djinn[/b] - http://ironwindmetals.com/catalog/product_...roducts_id=1286 Found in a temple they raided. Miners - Incase they have to dig for treasure in the sands. 02396: Jalahandran Desert Warrior II - Desert Guide. Someone being paid to help them try to find their way. Just for looks pretty much. Histroy and some fluff - A Dwarf warband gathered by a great adventurer roaming the desert sands insearch of promised riches in the Tombs of anicent kings. A curse unleashed on the soldiers for bothering a wizards resting place, the leader is dead and they've been cursed till death to be lost in the desert. They search hopelessly for months with no luck. They survive by raiding from the local viallges and tribes. There, I think that adds the right information to give people a reason for why the dwarfs are there, how they survive, and possiable reasons why other groups might want to slaughter them. Any feed back or bashing would be apperciated. I'm looking to try and make this a pretty cool looking force. Thanks FeverDreams for the spark. P.S. Links are screwed up
  21. War horses would be nice. They could do as much damage to the enemy as the rider could
  22. Yeah I like the reaper minatures a lot better myself. But what ever floats your boat eh? My Dwarven Axes will hack um up anyway. Those are some great ideas. You're tempting me to go to the desert. I've always wanted to do some kind of undead dwarf army. Skeletal Dwarves and zombies. A necromatic warlord etc. Gosh so many ideas :( Thanks for everyones help.
  23. I've always wanted to have a elven army in a different envirornment then the woods or sea. Desert is a great idea. Jungle, mountains, plains, swamp, or blizzard climate elves. Just to do something different. I like your ideas though about the sand elves. Bad butt. I'm going to keep my dwarves pretty ... well Dwarvish. He seems pretty fixed on adding archers, archers, and more archers. Though he wants to use Ghost minatures line from a different company for some of the bulk of his figs, not sure If you've herd of them. Since they're suppose to be so cheap. Though they will probally be off scale a little. Any thoughts on "ghost minatures"?
  24. My friend is wanting to play Elfs in warlord. He's wanting to take advantage to the selection reaper offers with minis. Basically he wants some help. I've told him besides archers and special characters ... Centours and Unicorns or something would be great. Or a wood Dragon. Any help would be apperciated by him and me both. P.S. I'm picking up some Dwarfs this weekend
