Oberron turns to the others in his party as the stranger goes back to get her friends. "I believe that these others have good intentions," he reports. "They seem to be in need of a healer as much as we are and are travelling in the same direction. I offered to let them join us and give them as much assistance as I am able."

I think that it would make for a nice reunion moment if they do know each other. Plus it gives Oberron even more impetus to assist the other party.

Tiron finishes his spell and bolts of magic burst from his fingers and slam into the loudmouth who challenged him.

"As a servant of The Knight," the young man replies, "I am obliged and happy to assist all in need regardless of physical appearance or even whether they serve The Knight themselves or not. If your intentions are true, then by all means join us as we're going to the same place for the same purpose."

Having warned the man, Tiron sheaths his sword and quickly flips the catches on his breastplate. It drops free from his upper torso and allows free movement for spell casting. He begins to mumble in an arcane tongue and gestures at the swordsman, a fiery glow surrounding his fingertips.

Tiron draws his sword and steps out from behind Chara. "As the lady indicated," he replies grimly nodding towards Chara, "we're friends of the lad. Unhand him and you can go about your business. Make trouble and you'll face our wrath!"

Wondering what has happened now, Tiron joins the burly female warrior. He silently draws his own weapon and pads along behind her.

Oberron remains wary, but answers the new arrival's question to the best of his ability, "There is a dwarven village not too far in the direction that we are headed. I don't know much about it, but I'm in hope that they have a healer there."

Oberron makes sure to insert himself between the approaching figure and Merrillee. He readies his weapon but does not draw it as the other traveler does not look too threatening at this point.

Seeing that the other party is not advancing in their direction, Oberron decides that they are not posing enough of a threat at the moment to concern him enough to hold up their progress. Hoping that the town might have a healer with greater skill than he possesses, he signals to Merrilee to continue thier treck, keeping an eye on the others as best he can as they make their way towards the dwarven settlement.

So, I guess the question is, both groups have seen other people approaching, are we in hailing distance?

Never too early to discuss Draft Day. I usually like to go as close to the opener as possible, but anytime really works for me. I would just hate to lose my stud to a pre-season injury.

"Aye, Ygrissa would surely have some counsel for me about decisions made in haste," he mutters to himself. "But what's done is done and we surely can't waste the time turning back now."
Pulled out of his reverie by the sight of other travelers, he reigns his horse in and tries to get Merrilllee's attention, "Miss...Miss, riders approach. Be on your guard." He readies his sword and waits to see what the other travelers will do.
