My first Reapercon (it was still in the factory, and Sonic was a thing) I had a fistful of Proofs of purchases to turn in for swag. I asked the first guy I saw where to go for that, and he took me upstairs to an office, took my stuff and handed me the hat I wanted. I had interrupted whatever he was doing, but he helped with no complaint. Obviously that was Ed, I just had no idea until later in the con when presentations were going on. At my last reapercon (2019) I was sitting at a table on Wednesday night, chatting with some guy when Ed and family sit down with us, and we chatted for 30 minutes. I will miss him

Well this won't be my first Reapercon, but it will be the first since 2009 or so. I remember Sonic on the factory floor, and trying to park under the cell tower, it's been that long. I look forward to joining in the revelry. (go River Widows!)

Very nice, I've been thinking of adding LED strips to the one I built a couple of years ago. How do you drive them?

I have finished all the genestealers, and all the terminators I need for the game. I still have 7 terminators to paint to call the whole box done but they are in progress and may be done by the end of the month. Coincidentally, this puts me on track for a mini a day average.

Here are some Space Hulk miniatures. I posted this as my January painting goal. Woot! I made it. I will be runnning Space Hulk at Rapiercon (http://www.rapiercon.com/) next month and wanted the figs to be painted. To be honest, though, this is not the complete set. I wanted two squads of terminators to be easy to tell apart, so two different colors were used. The figs in the box are very specific to the Blood Angels (red) chapter, so I used some other figs to represent the Ultramarines (blue). I have been volunteered to run Space Hulk at a local convention in February, so my goal is to finish the figures for that. So far I have 3 terminators and 5 genestealers done. That leaves 7 terminators and 17 genestealers. I should finish at least 2 of the terminators this week during my vacation.

When I ran my Gurps Star Trek game several years ago, everyone had a bridge officer PC who was also a department head, a secondary officer who was in a different department, and a pool of redshirts, for lack of a better term. I never cared for the idea of sending the entire command structure into danger every week, though I understand it from a dramatic point of view. The captain was an NPC to avoid one player always telling the others what to do. We had fun, and wasn't overly difficult to manage. I'm pretty sure all of my future Star Trek games will be similar, though I do have an idea for a small crew, small ship sort of thing. I think I have most of the previous versions of Star Trek sitting on my shelf, Fasa, Last Unicorn, Decipher, plus 3 versions of Prime Directive from Task Force Games.

My understanding is don't go cheap on the felt as it tends to pill up with use. I used craft foam for the interior of my table, but it also has a television in it, so mini gaming is done on the top surface.

I've played the new edition 3 times now. Forge Fathers vs Plague, Veer-Myn and Enforcers. I'm still learning the game, but had a bunch of fun. I only got the 1st edition as part of this latest kickstarter so only a couple of games of 1st edition. I like the FF's, which is good, since I got a bunch of them now. So far I've beaten the rats, but I can tell you that plague zombies with Horde really suck if you have to meet them in hand to hand. Those dice add up quickly.

I really enjoy my Paasche Talon. double action gravity feed.

It adds more magic, which was a chronic complaint of the original version, and adds reactions when rolling poorly. Not a great deal extra complexity, and still pretty simple if you're coming off something like Warhammer or Warmachine. Plus most of the "Crunch" is optional anyway, so you can still play "basic" if you want. Two thumbs up from me, whose opinion matter naught.

I found setting up accounts for my kids to be a royal pain (why does a six year old need an email address again?) Every game wants to copy itself to the hard drive and I haven't found a setting to turn that off yet (I still have room). Gold also comes with 4 free games a month so that might be worth it to you. My kids love Castle Crashers and Plants v Zombies Garden Warfare. Parental controls do not have a time based component like the 360 did, and there are only a handful of 360 games that will work on the XB1. I kept mine, but wound up getting another 360 for the bedroom for me and my RPG's. anvil242 on Xbox live (and pretty much everywhere else)

I'm building a Smartrap at the moment. A friend printed the parts for me, and I bought the rest through Amazon. Coming in at around 250 at the moment with spare parts left over. If I were to do it again, though, I'd buy a kit for that much that came will all the right parts to begin with.

I upgraded from a 360 to the XB1 and I kind of regret it. Backward compatibility is iffy at the moment with no guarantee that a favorite game will ever make the switch. Xbox live gold is a pay service, and if you want your kids to have a separate account, they will need a unique e-mail address. On the plus side, it's a blue ray player, has access to many streaming services, has a beautiful picture, and loads games much faster than my PS3 ever hoped to do. Full disclosure, the ps3 was a gift and I never liked it. The selection of XB1 games is still fairly limited, but growing, and a gold account will see you getting 4 free games a month, some of which are pretty darn good. I know nothing of the PS4, but I miss my 360 almost enough to buy another one.

There are profiles out there for the BSG fighters in the Silent Death rules system. Silent Death is pretty good for fighter on fighter if you leave out all of the expansions and stick with the core rules. The expansions are good, don't get me wrong, but they keep adding layers of complexity that are unnecessary. I suppose the Warhounds book might help with larger classes of ships, though

I use matte photo paper and an inkjet printer. Looks great, but uses a lot of ink. Cardstock is cheaper, and maybe a little more durable, but not as sharp when using an inkjet. I can't speak for laser printers, but have heard that due to the waxy nature of the inks, that there are occasional problems with flaking on the edges of folded sheets.

How would I go about becoming a rep again? Cav was my go-to game when I was Black Lightning.
