I'm getting older and started using a head mounted magnifier to paint miniatures about a year ago. It's great I use it all the time. And recently decided to get a newer one perhaps with a light as the one I'm currently use dosn't have a light. So I starter to look at what's available educating myself as to what's a good brand differences in lens strength and so on and I came across this video. In the video the presenter mention potential health issues that can arise from over using these magnifiers. I've never heard of that before so decided to search the internet for studies about that very thing. I can't seem to find anything so decided to ask the TMP community about it. Do you use these magnifiers? How long? Have you had any adverse health issues? But more importantly dose anyone has a link to any clinical studies on this issue and the results of those studies. I really want to use the magnifiers properly and not overuse them if there are health risks involved but they are very useful so I don't want to give them up entirely either

Personally I like the big models. So more Giants, Trolls, orgers, and similar sized beasts. KS3 had lots and I love them all but I want more. mounted models sounds like a great idea. and if the cross over with Victoria Miniatures was susseful please make a bone Sci Fi Tank

12 dwarves that are works in progress. many from Bones 3 some are from previous KS. I bace coated in a orange cause well I had it open at the time. and I like the way flesh looks overtop a orange base coat. I'd say I'm about 1/2 way done on the lot. plan to mount on square 25mm bases advice and critisim welcomed. Kind of regreting not picking up the Dwarf King sub set from Bones 3

Fulfilling Reaper Bones 3: Post-Kickstarter Discussion
Gamingdog replied to Reaperbryan's topic in Kickstarter
Just got my box today, I'm wave 2 in Pennsylvania USA. started going through everything this really is the best part. the Giants look amazing as well as the blackstar corsairs. -
I used a 28mm figure of a scientist, added the hair, the gun, changed his button up coller shirt to a tee shirt. and made the three portals from plasticard. I hope someone someday makes a well done 28mm Rick

Chronoscope Minis we'd like to see #3
Gamingdog replied to ladystorm's topic in Reaper's Product Lines
1930 to 1950 pulp sci fi inspired miniatures. a Hawkman with ray gun, Robin hood with raygun, a evil mystic with skull cap (emp. Ming). scantily clad space princess. generic troops with Ray guns and WWI Helmets. Maybe a large (bones) crashed rocket ship ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ pitch two, Gilligans island zombie survivors. the seven stranded castaways armed with machetes and make shift weapons one could find on a deserted island. opponents could be other native islanders. zombie who emerge from the ocean, old one fish-men, the secret pulp experiment located under the island Gilligan finds. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ pitch three Generic futuristic human gang members. with Necromunda possible being re-release. kid gangers, ganger holding heavy weapons, well to do ganger / merchant not holding any weapon. alien ganger. etc. I like the models you have already made. more is always nice -

I cut the finger tips off placed the gun then used green stuff to re sculpt the fingers and thumb
