I am not new to the Reaper boards though many may not recognize me as I have been MIA a lot since 2007. I attended the 2006 ReaperCon and had a blast! And at one time I was a member of the Reaper Black Lightning crew. My hope was to start mini painting days/paint and takes at the ONLY gaming store in my area. Alas, that did not happen. The store is in poor condition and in a questionable part of town which resulted in no interest.

I started painting minis in 2004, which was also when I started playing D&D. I was the new comer to the group and when I brought my newly purchased Reaper mini to my first game session I discovered that mine was the only one not painted. The other gamers were using minis from the DM. I asked him about paining mine and he informed me that he didn't paint any more and if I wanted it painted, I'd have to do it myself. I took that as a challenge and the rest, as they say is history. I am now the mini painter of the group. I have painted all character minis and a few monster minis for our past four campaigns.

Sadly, I fell out the hobby around 2007 due to a few life changing events. I returned to school for a second degree in the fall of 2008, which left no time for any hobbies or a life for that matter! I graduated in December 2010 and now I am ready to return to this wonderful hobby of mine! Even better, I turned a friend of mine on to the hobby as well and we have started having a painting day about once a month. I am also happy to say that through my encouragement, my DM has picked up his brushes again and is strengthen his skills.

I cannot say enough good things about Reaper, its people, and this forum!
