  1. I also recommend either Vallejo Model Colour or Reaper Masters Series paints. They're definitely worth it. Also, I'll echo the praise for the Winsor and Newton Series 7 brushes. I got two for $14 from www.dickblick.com. They're $20 apiece retail! Also, pick up some quality brush soap to go with them (be careful to get acrylic and natural hair-safe soap. I'd hate to ruin such sexy brushes with the wrong soap. ) Besides that, just remember to thin your paints, and you should be set. Happy painting!
  2. Eek, the brushes arrived today, but one of the brushes had some hairs bent down accidentaly by the brush protector. How do I get them all back into a point? Licking is not helping. *EDIT* Nevermind, a friend suggested brush soap. It worked. Both brushes are now happy and sharply pointed.
  3. Looking at www.dickblick.com, Liquitex seems to have released a new "Soft Bodied" variation of their normal paints. Quoted from their description:
  4. Heh, adorable little kids. Their expressions make me laugh though. I couldn't help but think this when I saw one of the pictures. I'm sorry that I'm too inept to add a computer moniter to the picture: Keep the pictures coming.
  5. I was given a link from Lanse to Dick Blick. I took a look at the brushes. I saw W&N Series 7s for six something dollars. I ordered a few today. Does anyone have any special advice for their care besides the obvious dab of brush soap and lots of water and gentle dabbing on a towel, or should that be fine? Perhaps ritual altar sacrifices?
  6. I should add that I would prefer wells, but a lipped plate would be fine too. Preferrably pure white.
  7. I'm currently thinking of getting back into the hobby. I'm interested in finding a cheap ceramic painting plate palette. Would Michael's stock this sort of commodity? I suppose this is a question that Enchatra would be best at answering. Oh well.
  8. Six-boobed Scorpion of Slaanesh? Boobed Scorpion... Boobion!
  9. Why not a Dracula's Carriage? It could maybe be a boxed set, or something worked into Warlord
  10. Very cool cracked marble effect on the extra armour and the doors! Awesome!
  11. Actually I'm ignorant enough to ask, "What is PVA glue"? - it breaks surface tension - it thickens - it strengthens - it's quick-drying - it's cheap
  12. Ahem, it's a doomdiver. Pretty cool, but I agree, the base is a bit much. Also, don't be afraid to paint the sand.
  13. Forget Victoria, you need to go to the Gorge in George, WA.
  14. Enter: Dumbledore the White?
  15. Want funny names, huh? Ben Dover Mike Hunt Phil McCrackin (Army) Private Parhtz or any names from Austin Powers
  16. Orange, yellow, and black are the Halloween triad.
  17. It means that soon Reaper will discover boobies, good music, and get a drivers license in a few years.
  18. Because they're not cows. Cows have a quiet dignity and serve a purpose. (somebody tell me where I quoted that from )
  19. I didn't know Gnolls worshipped Slaanesh.
  20. Was she blonde, and does she own a LiveJournal?
  21. Very cool! I'm surprised that was all ink (with exceptions). My only tip is the armour seems a bit too minty for Papa Nurgle. I'd lightly brush some yellow ink over the green, or even chestnut ink. Great job, though! I'm impressed.
  22. That still does not answer my question.
  23. 4oz? That's 16 vallejo bottles. Planning on making lots of terrain or something?
  24. Since you've turned off your PM's for some reason, I'll ask you here. Can you recommend a good OTC brand of HC Cream?
