  1. I have seen several requests on Bones 5 kickstarter for a Dark Carnival and my imagination runs wild with that. I would love to see that in addition to the ones I previously mention below. Base Stamps or Base inserts A Gothic Vampire Castle Egyptian Pyramid where the top comes off More Terrain and dungeon/outdoor decor for themed settings such as Forests, Ruins, Jungle, Snow, Egyptian, Gothic buildings, Tower, Lighthouse city buildings, village cottages and ruined versions of them. Items for a Wizard workshop/Mad Scientist lab, Coffins... Sparkly translucent minis (astral plane) A sail for my haunted boat from the previous kickstarter. Could be part of a shipwreck for this kickstarter More versions of elementals
  2. Just when I thought all the good ideas were taken for this model. I don't think I am ever going to paint mine now.
  3. This is guy is from my first Reaper order, years ago and I still haven't painted him....sigh

  5. Thanks! The dog is from the Bushido line and the tiefling is from Dark Swords miniatures.
  6. I like the hoses with the red and blue liquids going down the drain, looks real. The missing hand lying on the floor is very cool. I thought it was the way the model was and I likely would not have seen the hand on the floor had you not mentioned it. I am also glad it is not be who has a tough time gluing metal bits on a tiny surface area. What was the purpose of not leaving that hand attached in the first place?!?!?
  7. More practice with nmm. I mixed some brown with the gray for the sword/shield, may not do that every again. Trying not to have it look like stone and not sure how I feel about the results. My gold isn't very good, I tried with the symbol on the shield and I was disappointed. Pretty much happy with everything else though, especially the bones.
  8. Painted this for a friend's group. Their party acquired a dog they love so much that they spent all their gold to armor him up. He now has the highest AC in the party.
  9. I originally purchased him use his alternative skull head and arm, but needed a human necro for an upcoming scenario. I like this version too.
  10. The basing of that bog is incredible looking.
  11. Painted this for the Lost Mines of Phandelver module that I am running. Venomfang will be reoccuring throughout their adventures. I painted this faster than usual, but would not call it speed pained because it still took me about a month. I put a bit more into it than my usual speed paints, but a little less than others. It is always hard from me to take pics of larger models, probably should have taken this one outside, may have benefited from the background trees and grass more than most other models.
  12. Not sure who put this guy in the box of good will, but thanks! No longer bare metal :) and posted in the show off section here. I am a little saddened not know what happened to the other stuff I tossed into the box ,was hoping they would find a nice home. I guess maybe if they weren't picked this circuit and might be picked in the future. Possibly pictures where not taken too....oh well.
  13. Thanks, you have better eyes than I do. I did mix some green into the sword, wasn't sure how well my camera picked it up though I was going to do black, but I painted another human guy with a black pot on his back and wanted something different. I figured he was sergeant and probably had some nicer cookware.
  14. Thanks! Speed painting for me entails not caring much to show finer details, dry brushing, limited highlighting (mostly with dry brushing) and a limited color palette. A mini that normally takes me 1-2 weeks to paint, would only take me 1-2 days speed painting (equaling about couple of hours, tops.)
  15. Played my 1st game of D&D over the weekend. Speed painted this stuff up and even though we did not get to use all of it, we had a great time.
  16. More practice with swords, this was one of the models I got from the box of good will. Recently read the Hobbit with my daughter and watching the films. Looks like it put me in the mood for painting a halfling.
  17. Nice! I love seeing painted grenadier models. I actually painted this one several years back when I was first starting. Here if you are interested. I wish I had more time to paint others.
  18. Painting is great, but really like how the grass on the base turned out too. I can never get mine to look so good.
  19. Looks awesome. Should put some "before" pics or link to the other thread in here.
  20. Dat's whadda trolls s'posed ta look like!
  21. Speed painted all of these to get going with the game. My wife and I began playing Gloomhaven about a month ago, it is a fun game with a high price tag. The mindthief cat-like creature really caught my eye and had to paint n play with him immediately. The rats worked perfect for his early rat swarm ability.
  22. This is my first real attempt at nmm. I have always just used metallic paint, but this guy had a sword that looked like it would be fun to practice on.
