  1. I have a few DMNPC's that I like to use specifically for helping the party or having them travel with them.  My favorite is Edmund Thane "The Demon Cleaner".  He comes from the Greyhawk campaign setting and was a Chosen of Kyuss.  Having done horrible things in the name of the god of the undead he recanted his followings and beliefs and walked across the planes to the campaign setting of the Forgotten Realms (which is where I like to run my games).  He now follows the deity Illmater god of suffering, endurance, and martyrdom in an effort to make up for the atrocities he had committed.   While in the realms he got his nickname by becoming very good at hunting down demons and killing them specifically.  Years later he found an intelligent sword called Whitewater that, unbeknownst to him, housed the soul of a trapped demon that is now talking to him and reminding him of what he had done in his past and is slowly driving him insane with the struggle to keep control.  Sorry for the long post lol hope you enjoyed the story and yes if you know the band Kyuss (who named themselves after the deity in the Greyhawk setting) this was heavily inspired by 2 of my favorite songs of theirs (Demon Cleaner and Whitewater)

  2. I got 5 sets and a player of mine got 5 sets as well last time but we got no add-ons.  This time around I will have a tough decision to make I could probably get 10 sets OR 5 sets plus some awesome add-ons.  I'm thinking I'm going with the 5 sets and add-ons cause I'm thinking there are going to be some really interesting ones this time around.

  3. Cut a circle of clay out so I can make circular bases. Would cookie cutters work in clay?

I don't see why not although I haven't used any yet (need to get some).  When I want specific shapes cut out of my clay I cut the shapes out of poster board then just plop it down on the sheet of clay and take my x-acto to it.  You could do the same just use a protractor to make some circles then cut around the edges...or go to the dollar store and get some cookie cutters lol.

  4. Okay, so I just came back from Michaels with a pound of super sculpey firm. With the current 50% coupon it came out to $8.00 + taxes.

Curious, anyone know where to find some one inch / two inch circle cutter things?

What exactly do you mean by circle cutters?  Something to cut a circle of clay out or more like something to cut a divot out?

  5. I'm not sure if it has been mentioned in this thread yet (I'm sure it probably has lol) but you could try Envirotex-Lite.  It is a clear varnish for wood but ALOT of people use it for water effects including the guy who does the tutorials over on Hirst Arts.  There is actually a video of him showing how to mix it up and pour river pieces and it is easily dyed with some paint.  You can get it at Michael's or hobby lobby in 8oz ($13.99) or 32oz ($32.99) which isn't bad especially if you use the 40% off coupon makes the 32oz option only around 20 dollars.  I plan on getting some soon (along with some other terrain building materials) at the grand opening of the new michales in my area.

  6. So I've checked both Michael's and Hobby Lobby.... No Milliput available locally. I'll have to order the stuff. I did manage to find everything else though.

No I have yet to find milliput in a store locally I think I read somewhere it is more of a UK thing but Michaels DOES have sculpey and a WIDE array of FIMO in varying colors which is worth a shot

  7. I was looking over at drivethrurpg.com at Raging Swan Press' dungeon and wilderness dressing pdf's.  I play 2nd ED AD&D but was wondering even though these are meant for pathfinder would it still be worth it to get them and convert it?  They seem really interesting and I have been look for tons of encounter tables to compile them.

  8. The Lords of Darkness are at the top of my list.  I loved those sculpts as soon as I saw them!

I'm looking forward to the various demons and devils, as well (I'm a big fan of the old AD&D Planescape setting).

(What can I say?  I always have favored the villains, even as a kid!)

For me my AD&D started with Forgotten Realms its my go to setting and I love it.  However I use to have the Factols Manifesto and have recently been thinking about picking up the Planescapes Campaign Setting what is it like is it interesting?  Since this is off topic you can PM me if you like.

  9. Thats awesome I received them earlier and messed around with them but I think I need to shave/adjust some points on them a few pieces on Kaladrax and Nethyrmaul don't fit together very flush but I am SUPER stoked to finally have these guys plus a complete vampire set in my hands!!  Now to learn how to paint haha

  10. Hi there I just recently went on ebay and managed to snag a vampire box set for 250 but it also comes with Kaladrax, Cthullhu, and Nethyrmaul as well as 24 paints.  I've looked around and can find some really nice pictures of these minis but so far have not found any with other minis next to them for scale reference so my question was does anyone have any pics that show this?  Thanks in advance!

  11. I really like ALL of them but if I HAD to narrow it down to just a few it would be Kraken, Khanjira (cause as a DM how could you not be excited about a not-tarrasque lol), and Mashaff.  Don't get me wrong DDS2 is going to be awesome and amazing but those I would have to say are my favorites so far.  Oh and the Minotaur Demon Lord from expansion 2 is really starting to grow on me if for no other reason than just the sheer size of him (but there are other reasons lol)

  12. How do you get the sculpey SO smooth I've tried doing things like this but can never get all the lines out of it for complete smoothness?  Also how do you get such nice tiny edges like the edge of the boots or corset?  Do you add another layer or work the line from what you have already layed down?  Also how did you go about learning such great anatomy?  I have a book called the encyclopedia anotomicae and its really good I have been looking through it?  Sorry about all the questions lol

  13.

Since I lack the MBA buildings I want I was thinking about backing this but I have a couple questions.  Is this suppose to be printed out on cardstock or just regular printer paper?  Also it is suppose to fold flat but if you are printing it out there are no fold lines do you just do it yourself after cutting it out?  Sorry if these are silly questions just some things I was wondering.  I have a product like this it is an OLD AD&D boxed set called strong holds with cardstock buildings you punch out and put together and it gives you instructions and the fold lines are pre-perforated if that makes sense lol

We recommend you print on 110lb card stock (found in the school supply aisle at places like Wal Mart.) All models have cut and fold lines clearly marked, and while sections of each model are glued, they are engineered to have certain parts slotted together so they come apart easily, and then those separate parts fold along pre-scored folds. Here is a pic of a typical building folded flat for storage:

We have a free Beginner's Guide on the front page of our website. Please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions, I'll be happy to help you any way I can. :)

Thank you for the response I think I will definitely back this!
