Ive decided im going to finish the behir miniature I started for a d&d session he looks pretty good only thing is I never fooled any gaps and missed some of the mold lines iiis thaty an issue when being judged in just the painter's category?

So im bringing a couple friends that have never been to something like this. I apologized to them cause it's a little late to get into any classes or games. What are some suggestions I could give them on what they could do while there?

Ive gotten really good at painting cloth maybe I'll find a wizard with mostly robes and paint him up super fast

I was the exact same and last year I stopped by the badger booth. He talked to me about what I was wanting to do (priming) and told me what id need. I ended up getting a compressor, hose, and patriot 105 everything I needed for A VERY reasonable price. This year im going by the booth to get my sotar since I ended up liking airbrushing so much, I highly recommend it. And yes their stynelrez primer is AMAZING

With just 17 days left it doesn't look like I'll have anything for the MSP this year but hey im getting to take classes this year which I didn't get to last year so I'm excited about that

Reaper might not but you could totally set your own thing up. The main area is a huge room with plenty of tables. I last year and this year am hosting a basing get together at one of the tables. It's not sanctioned or sponsored by anyone or on the schedule but I just set the time and people who are interested in learning how to base or look at the materials show up, you could do the same just pick a time namee a sign or some other way for people to recognize it and let people know on here and the fb page and I guarantee people will show up. I know I would ive got done minus id trade I know that so there's some food for thought.

There was also a lady as well but I can't remember her name but I have pictures and I do hope you can make it this time! Last year there was a specific night but the box was left on thr table the whole con for people to use whenever. Im thinking this year I will be at the table every night for a bit unless I've got a class but there will be a specific night for the main get together and as usual the box will be left there.

Someone bright their stamps and rollers last year adnd demonstrated them they were awesome. Any materials are welcome and appreciated there is a materials box that will be at the table and anyone is welcome at any time! Thank you very much!

If anyone recalls I put together an unofficial meetup In the evening where we could all get together and learn from each other about basing minis. Im not an expert and it's one of the reasons I put it together, so I and everyone involved could learn more. I will be doing the same this year but I understand it might be harder for some people this year since they've introduced the reaper u night classes. I was donated quite a bit of materials last year from forumites that I will be bringing this year as well as some others. Anyone is welcome to bring what they want anyone is welcome any knowledge is welcome. I will post pictures of what I've got over the weekend and what day and time it will be, just like last year it will be in the main convention area just look for the unicorn hat! Hope as many people show up as last year!

Me, my wife, and hopefully my friend (depending on slots open when he gets his tickets) will definitely be playing in your games. We played in your Maggotcrown game last year it was one of the best times we've ever had, I was the quiet one lol, but will not be so this time

I posted on badgers Facebook page specifically asking is they were coming to reapercon for the express purpose of me wanting one of their sotar airbrushes and they said they were and this was about a month ago so unless things changed since then I imagine they are. I really hope they are. Tool guy was awesome I'm planning on getting a few more things from him this year I got a few different types of tweezers and other things from him last year and they're great!
