  1. A website of your own is a great way of increasing exposure. It would allow you to create a portfolio of your work so that prospective clients can see what you're about. It would also be an excellent place to put your prices and policies so that you don't have to write these everytime someone is looking for a commission. People may not like CMON, but it is an excellent way to advertise your ebay sales (especially the featured auction option). A good camera and the ability to use it are a must. You can be the best painter in the world, but with poor pictures, no one is going to give your work a second glance. I hope that helps a little. Good luck.
  2. Ah, another twisted creation of Mojo... *ahem* Sorry. I think the picture hides a lot in this one, but the color choice is really nice. I especially like the way it turned out on the head and that middle section (the one with the largest gem...or whatever those are).
  3. That's what it felt like. A documentary with the occasional well-acted scene. It should be possible to make an historically accurate film that's entertaining as well...but then again, I know next to nothing about film. I guess that's the last time I go to see a movie without getting a feel for its quality first...
  4. Well, my advice would be: save your money. I was hoping for a pretty good movie, but found myself disappointed. There was something that just seemed off in the presentation. It had the potential to be an excellent movie (and there were certainly moments) but this certainly wasn't "the Great." If you're interested in it, wait 'till it comes out on dvd and rent it.
  5. Man, if she can't find something "conservative" enough in Reaper's line, there really is no hope...
  6. It's a good idea not to even visit a page if Mozilla can't/won't handle it. That's just asking for trouble...
  7. Dragons of a Fallen Sun by Weis and Hickman again...just catching up so I can buy the last of the series. These definitely have a different feel than the previous W&H Dragonlance books. More...political...I guess. But there are only so many ways to skewer a dragon, I suppose. Still an excellent series; I can't wait to see how it ends...and what'll happen to the immortal Tasslehoff Burrfoot.
  8. Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but I've finally gotten the chance to beat the game... *Possible Spoilers* I think it was great! At first I thought it would just be more of the Master Chief running around slaughtering aliens and parasites, but being able to play as the Arbiter was an excellent change of pace (story-wise anyway). The end was perfect. You already blew up a Halo (an Halo?) in the first one, so... Sure, they could have added another couple of hours to the game, but I guess that's what the multiplayer is for. On top of that, it's the perfect marketing ploy for Halo 3.

    Yay!

Even if you don't like them that much, you should really check out the Astonishing X-Men. The presentation is excellent.
  10. ...or have the option disabled in your preferences and controls.
  11. The way the people loose their memory on that show, it's a surprise they can get anything done.
  12. Once you go heroic, there's no going back.
  13. I think that might be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
  14. Does anyone know if it is possible to run a console game (ps2, xbox, etc) through a pc monitor? More specifically, a laptop? I know how to get a pc to use a tv as it's monitor, but not the other way around...or even if it's possible. Thanks in advance.
  15. I only hope it won't be long before I can pick up a copy...watching my friends play is so frustrating...I can empathize with the guy in the comic.
  16. As good as a rank and file mini needs to be. I think yellow eyes may look better (being purple's compliment) but it just comes down to taste. Maybe try different eye colors on the next couple of minis and see which you prefer once you have them in hand. You mention that the purple isn't highlighted as drastic as it is in your mock-up. Is that because there's not a brighter purple (without mixing), or simply because you didn't use it? I think it would make them more eye-catching (from a gaming standpoint) if you did a brighter highlight along the ridges. Or, you could just leave that for the big'uns...
  17. Ah...my first...now that was a special mini Proof that even the crappiest painter improve (too bad the same can't be said for my camera...).
  18. I don't think I have the guts to sit and watch LotR for 9 hours, but good luck with that.
  19. Mixispitlick I kinda wish they'd left him out. After seeing that episode of the Superman cartoon a few years back, I was ruined to the little inter-dimensional prankster...especially with that lady of his and her frustrations. If you haven't seen it, you should. It was called "Mxyzterpilated" or somesuch. But I do have one question: 33.1? I know absolutely nothing about Superman, but that little finger print id pad kinda reminded me of that really smart android (Braniac was it?)...or maybe it was just a finger print id pad...
  20. Speak for yourself. I've read the books, noted all the inconsistencies, seen all the commentary and extras and I still want more. Pathetic? Oh, yesss, my preciousss...
  21. Heh. It comes out twelve days after mine... Guess I'm outta luck until Christmas...
  22. Nice. I especially like her hair...any chance we could get a recipe?
  23. Heh, I loved the look on Clark's face at the end: "Holy !!"
