Completed Phoenix: Dawn Command by Keith Baker and Daniel Garrison
Audles replied to Audles's topic in Kickstarter
Yay! That's awesome! Mine should have arrived today, but I'm actually at Gen Con running Phoenix: Dawn Command for folks. If you're at the con, stop by! I am jealous of you! I wish I could get Keith to sign some of my stuff :( Keith is a huge teddy bear! I'm sure he'd be happy to sign any of your stuff if you make it out to a con on his schedule! I have gathered that idea through the years, but unfortunately, I am unlikely to make it to one of the Cons he is at. I may try and see if I can pay shipping to and from him one of these days if he will sign something for me (like my limited edition cloth Eberron map) Oh totally! He gave me a signed copy of the original Eberron Campaign Guide for my birthday last year. I think I'm still blushing in appreciation. He really is a swell guy, and he's very active on Twitter. -

Fulfilling Reaper Bones 3: Post-Kickstarter Discussion
Audles replied to Reaperbryan's topic in Kickstarter
Is this expected to ship at time? Edit to add: I hadn't really expected that I guess. So, if it is... That's an unexpected awesome thing that might happen in August / September! -
Fulfilling Dark Souls board game from Steamforged

I saw this. It's an interesting idea. I kind of like it personally. It stops me from buying things arguably I don't need. Or at least doesn't make it seem like you need to buy everything all at once. -
I'd like to see more of the Necropolis stuff! I especially like 14181 Osric, Necropolis Hero: http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/vampire/sku-down/14181

This is pretty darn exciting! -
Wow -- I just had a look at that video of the Erinthor mega mountain pack. If I'd seen that during the campaign I probably would have pledged. Looks a million times more appetizing than the add-on set images of all the bits and pieces. I am remorseful. Wish they'd been more organized during the campaign. They would have had my money. I hear you - I sort of pledged an amount of money I felt like spending on faith figuring it'd all work out in the end. The mountain pack is very cool, and very useful for a large number of encounters (moreso than Castles, imo, by a long shot - such that I may get two Mega mountain packs and go light on Castle stuff. Mountains are just more generally useful). There should be a pre-sale later this year, so sign up for the mailing list if you're not already on it. Last year's pre-sale prices weren't that different (still cheaper than retail). I too wish the campaign was ran better. But the stuff is going to arrive and be awesome - like it always is.

I was really surprised by the coverage photos Nate put up of the Mega Mountain pack. Super cool, kind of want two of them. Definitely a value compared to the Mega Sewer pack.

I'm pretty happy with how this project turned out. I'm over budget, which is I guess to be expected. :)

My practical engineering mind still prefers the UpWorks system since it had such an emphasis on using pieces most of us already have. But the part of my mind that likes pretty things prefers this new DF system. It's interesting that DF has a spiritual successor to UpWorks in their trays. Those are still a great idea and I'm glad they're seeing the light of day. I still think the world was wide enough for both Stefan and UpWorks.

I dropped to $1 - sort of hoping i can make up my mind toward the last couple days when more stuff is available for decision making.

I'm not really into the walls. They're super expensive and I can already make something passably similar. I'm really liking the Trays and 8x8 floors. Though I hope the trays end up being as stable as the UpWorks mockups looked. I'm a little afraid these will be brittle, since they're made with the new Dwarvenite-G. Edit to Add: But even if they don't work out, Dwarven Forge's customer service would probably take care of it. They're top notch.
