  1. Are these going to be coming back in stock soon?
  2. Yay! That's awesome! Mine should have arrived today, but I'm actually at Gen Con running Phoenix: Dawn Command for folks. If you're at the con, stop by! I am jealous of you! I wish I could get Keith to sign some of my stuff :( Keith is a huge teddy bear! I'm sure he'd be happy to sign any of your stuff if you make it out to a con on his schedule! I have gathered that idea through the years, but unfortunately, I am unlikely to make it to one of the Cons he is at. I may try and see if I can pay shipping to and from him one of these days if he will sign something for me (like my limited edition cloth Eberron map) Oh totally! He gave me a signed copy of the original Eberron Campaign Guide for my birthday last year. I think I'm still blushing in appreciation. He really is a swell guy, and he's very active on Twitter.

  5. Is this expected to ship at time? Edit to add: I hadn't really expected that I guess. So, if it is... That's an unexpected awesome thing that might happen in August / September!
  6. I saw this. It's an interesting idea. I kind of like it personally. It stops me from buying things arguably I don't need. Or at least doesn't make it seem like you need to buy everything all at once.
  7. I'd like to see more of the Necropolis stuff! I especially like 14181 Osric, Necropolis Hero: http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/vampire/sku-down/14181
  8. Wow -- I just had a look at that video of the Erinthor mega mountain pack. If I'd seen that during the campaign I probably would have pledged. Looks a million times more appetizing than the add-on set images of all the bits and pieces. I am remorseful. Wish they'd been more organized during the campaign. They would have had my money. I hear you - I sort of pledged an amount of money I felt like spending on faith figuring it'd all work out in the end. The mountain pack is very cool, and very useful for a large number of encounters (moreso than Castles, imo, by a long shot - such that I may get two Mega mountain packs and go light on Castle stuff. Mountains are just more generally useful). There should be a pre-sale later this year, so sign up for the mailing list if you're not already on it. Last year's pre-sale prices weren't that different (still cheaper than retail). I too wish the campaign was ran better. But the stuff is going to arrive and be awesome - like it always is.
  9. I was really surprised by the coverage photos Nate put up of the Mega Mountain pack. Super cool, kind of want two of them. Definitely a value compared to the Mega Sewer pack.
  10. I'm pretty happy with how this project turned out. I'm over budget, which is I guess to be expected. :)
  11. My practical engineering mind still prefers the UpWorks system since it had such an emphasis on using pieces most of us already have. But the part of my mind that likes pretty things prefers this new DF system. It's interesting that DF has a spiritual successor to UpWorks in their trays. Those are still a great idea and I'm glad they're seeing the light of day. I still think the world was wide enough for both Stefan and UpWorks.
  12. I dropped to $1 - sort of hoping i can make up my mind toward the last couple days when more stuff is available for decision making.
  13. I'm not really into the walls. They're super expensive and I can already make something passably similar. I'm really liking the Trays and 8x8 floors. Though I hope the trays end up being as stable as the UpWorks mockups looked. I'm a little afraid these will be brittle, since they're made with the new Dwarvenite-G. Edit to Add: But even if they don't work out, Dwarven Forge's customer service would probably take care of it. They're top notch.
  14. I had some broken / damaged pieces in mine. But Suzy at DF took care of everything like a hero boss. Make sure you do an inventory of your stuff when you do get it.
  15. My D&D group is on hiatus and we're playing Dragon Age (the module in the back of the new book). My wife is running the game, we just got through the first one Saturday. I like it, but can definitely see stunt points taking up a lot of time. I could see house ruling the idea that you can use the points on your next turn if you don't know how to use them. I picked up the dead tree Fantasy Age book. There's some good ideas in the system, but I'm not too far into reading the non-Dragon version yet. Thanks for these posts!
  16. I haven't received mine yet. It's suppose to be Monday!
  17. I'm sure Keith would let people know to the extent he was able. He's extremely generous with his time and with information. I'm extremely lucky to count him as a personal friend. I've never met anyone as passionate for gaming as Keith. It's inspirational! Anyway, I'm obviously a huge fan of the guy. If you ever get a chance to play with him at a convention (he runs games occasionally) - DO IT. He's the best GM I've ever played with. He's poured a ton of heart and soul into Phoenix: Dawn Command. The world is wonderful, the adventure path is awesome. Phoenix has been some of the best gaming I've ever experienced. That said, NDA's are real! I had to sign one for WotC ahead of 5e being released. My wife is the co-host of a tabletop podcast (GoingLast if you're interested) and has had to do some NDAs before. I think they're super valuable. I'm SO GLAD I didn't get Curse of Strahd spoiled (aside from some Twitter murmurings Friday). Speculation Town: That Curse of Strahd being the first 5e product outside of the Realms is giving me a lot of hope for a similar treatment for Eberron in the future. I'd love to see a 1-10 adventure and campaign book for the Five Nations in 5e. I think the way WotC is approaching things right now is genius - selling books as whole campaigns is brilliant. I love it. I think if Eberron gets added to DM Guild, we'll see a ton of outstanding content. The future is so bright I have to make a saving throw vs blindness effects.
  18. First foray into Ravenloft for 5e was announced today as CURSE OF STRAHD. It looks amazing! They brought in Tracey and Laura Hickman to work on it with Chris Perkins. They'll even have a GaleForce 9 Tarokka deck to support it! The book is a 1-10 level adventure as well as setting book for Barovia. I'm liking this a lot as a direction for supporting past games. Essentially hardcover expanded modules that work within 5e rules - rather than ill-conceived Setting books. I think this could work very well! I'm curious what, if any, info they'll include of the 2e Ravenloft setting or if they'll let the Domains concept go.
  19. I haven't heard anything about Eberron support yet. Keith Baker keeps a fairly active blog (well, fairly active until he got into the final lap on writing the Phoenix: Dawn Command RPG. Anyway, I keep tabs on the blog and would hope there'd be Eberron news / rumblings there! You can find his blog at keith-baker.com - the last update was in October. But he's also fairly active on Twitter @HellcowKeith. I am stoked about the new OGL. Plus, having a marketplace for creators is an absolute boon for 5th Edition. I'm VERY excited. Of course, I'll be happy when they push out beyond Forgotten Realms (which just isn't my cup of tea). I'd love to see support for Eberron and Ravenloft - I'd definitely be tempted to push out some of my own adventures in those settings.
  20. Those look great! How are you liking 3rd Edition?
  21. I'm hoping the sets can be made to look not so awkwardly square. I always knew I wouldn't knew whether I liked them until I started playing with them myself.
  22. I'm guessing that's the last of the test shipments. Last update said fulfillment should start Monday next week. Exciting! But also terrifying.
