  1. Yes, a fine example of how to be rather late with your kickstarter and not make everyone despise you. Mine are supposed to arrive real soon now. USPS got them yesterday, but supposedly my 2nd day priority package won't arrive until Thursday? Hmm. Hurry up, I wish to Scrouge McDuck swim in my fantasy coins!
  2. My miniature collection is not as extensive as many others here since I only started collecting them last year, but aside from generally trying to round it out I am really drawn to creepy and odd monsters. I just hit up the cyber-monday miniatures sales on FRP and Miniature Market and one of my favorites I found is this guy (reaper Wendigo).
  3. There is a non zero chance that I'll have some CAV by Saturday.
  4. Mine too! Those bottles of paint are gigantic. The lizard men seem to be on the small side, I guess they will be the runts.
  5. Many of the kickstarters I've backed or followed recently failed to have a 48 hour surge. I'm not sure if it is people backing early with the thought that they can just cancel later, no one paying attention to things they've starred, or something more nefarious.
  6. Ub3r keeps his stalking er tracking er facilitation list up to date.
  7. I'm negotiating getting to go to this. If the weather is poor as per the current forcast, I stand a good chance of making it. If not I'll be spending time outdoors with the family.
  8. I totally meant to include Labyrinth. I had a serious crush on Jennifer Connelly for a LONG time.
  9. Based on the number of times I've watched them by choice: Boondocks Saints Kill Bill Star Wars IV-VIA LoTR Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind I'm probably forgetting many. Edit: stupid auto correct
  10. Did you add some gloss sealer to his shinny bald pate? Because that would be really fitting.
  11. Lamb is my favorite food i almost never eat because my wife can't stand it :( I order it a lot when traveling without her for bussiness.
  12. I like a good turkey sandwich, but my favorite use is to make various kinds of turkey hash with all of the other leftovers too. Turkey stir-fried with celery and potato chunks, mmm ...
  13. I hear defiance games has a spin caster you can pick up at their bankruptcy liquidation. It might be cursed though.
  14. Said major food store sells goose for about $14/lb and you can get kosher organic turkey for under $3/lb and Butterballs for $0.60/lb. It is no surprise goose hasn't caught on. I'll probably do a duck around Christmas though.
  15. I'm cooking turkey, bread, muffins, pie, and random veggie side dishes. Friends are coming over. I've done this the last 8 years or so. My wife and I both really hate holiday travel so we always invited all of the foreign students to our house for Thanksgiving, and now are doing the same with friends and coworkers. The one rule is anyone is welcome for Thanksgiving.
  16. I've had these two primed for almost a year now waiting to build up the courage to try the kit. Soon! Good luck.
  17. I've been looking for a shovel for him, but they don't may one for someone under 2 1/2 feet tall. Yes they do. The collapsable ones that you carry in your car trunk work great. My kids started shoveling the driveway when they were 3. They thought it was fun. My oldest is now 8 and hasn't figured out that it's work. Three years ago my daughter pitched a fit because I finished the driveway before she could come out and help, so I had to shovel snow back into the driveway so she could help. I swear I will commit unspeakable acts of horror if any of you ruin it. They feel the same way about raking. I grew up in upstate NY. I shoveled the driveway and sidewalk solely for the pleasure of stacking the snow up in mounds on our yard side of the walk and drive. Then I made a snow fortress out of the mounds with interconnecting tunnels. I did this up until I realized that my parents would pay me to shovel, then I got paid to make a snow fort. Fine, you've convinced me! Now if he'd only hurry up and learn to walk. Just get a Tonka bulldozer. Until he can walk, he can crawl and push Yeah ... can't crawl yet either. Maybe by the big spring storms. I'll keep it in mind. I'm okay with Winter, but I really love Fall which to me ends after Thanksgiving.

  19. The company I work for has offices in Greensboro NC and I thought I might like to transfer there one day ... then I actually went there for a meeting in the summer and now I'd rather go somewhere else.

  21. I live in the Boston metro area, just inside the outer limits of the T (subway). When I finished school I had job offers here and in California and we choose here because the job options for my wife were better, public transportation is better (she doesn't drive), and I liked the job more. I'm from Michigan and we're still exploring New England. There is a lot of history and a lot of shellfish, which I like, but I'm still not sure this whole city thing is going to work out long term. I hate the traffic. Sometimes we talk about moving overseas again in a few years, other times we talk about sending our 3 month old to the top notch high school next to our house.
  22. Drugs and hookers aren't the only possibility. A gambling addiction would fit too.
