Name's Eric. I was drawn here by my brother. We both are newbies when it comes to painting miniatures, but I think we're found a new hobby. I've also seen Big Trouble in Little China more times than a sane man should.

  1. A not Segata Sanshiro. The giant not Sega Saturn on his back is optional. Look up his music video or the Chuck Norris vs Segata Sanshiro Death Battle and be amazed. I only learned of his existence recently and he has become my new hero.
  2. I'm bringing my dice, dice cup, a notepad, post-it notes, pencils three card games (Chrononauts, Flux, and We Didn't Playtest this at all), and my 3DS in the hopes of getting spot passes. I'm really interested in trying out 5th Edition D&D and Fiasco. If I somehow wind up wanting to get into a painting class I'll bring my brushes. I'll try to talk to people but I'm a bit of an introvert. Going to this convention is me trying to get out more. Plus I want reaper swag.
  3. Are you arriving Thursday? If so my flight is arriving just after 10am and I could offer you a ride if needed and of course you are willing to wait. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find a ride so I bought a spot in a shuttle. Sorry about that. Thanks for the offer though.
  4. Just nervous about the trip. A lack of lpaning on my part made it so that I'm leaving Sunday. I'll get the hang of this convention thing sooner or later.

  5. I don't think reaper will ever do something like this but when I was growing up the one series of toys I really liked were this series of military vehicle toys called Megaforce. These things were really detailed and kinda over the top. Looking back on them now makes me think of Leonardo's drawings of huge siege weapons. http://www.toyarchive.com/Megaforce/Megaforce.html The website looks like it came from the beginnings of the internet but the pictures it has of the different vehicles shows what I'm talking about.
  6. I should be arriving at the Ft. Worth/Dallas airport around 9:00 am. If you want we can carpool either getting a taxi or something. I'll be wearing a black t-shirt with "Moxie Games" written on it in neon green.
  7. Thanks for the tips. A few of my Bones 2 minis were a bit crumpled. Hopefully the boiling water trick will work.
  8. I'm getting in on Thursday at 10:00 EST. Missing out on the meet and greet but if anyone's at the Ft Worth/Dallas airport maybe we can split for a cab or something? I'm leaving Sunday afternoon.
  9. I've never been to Reapercon before. I've never been to Texas before. So I think it'll be an adventure.
  10. This isn't rooming but if you're arriving at the Ft Worth/Dallas airport around 9:00 or 10:00 am maybe we can get together and split for a cab or something?
  11. Some Not-Discworld characters would be nice. Some examples could be a not-Susan Sto Heigt, not-Sam Vimes, not-Rincewind, and not-Vetinari.
  12. This is a little silly but my brother and I want to play a tagteam luchador duo in Pathfinder. The idea is that we see how long it takes the DM to realize this. Would you guys make a few luchadors miniatures in the different races of a fantasy setting? Luchador half-orcs, dwarves, halflings, and gnomes would be nice; I'm not sure if an elf could pull off the amount of manlyness needed to be a true luchador.
  13. Also harking back to old cartoons how about a Not-Thundar. And a mini of that bug-horse thing the Not-Wookie, Ookla the Mok, rode on.
  14. I'm not sure if they'd fit more into the fantasy line or with Chronoscope, but how about a set of Not-Herculoids. http://www.deviantart.com/art/The-Herculoids-162821414 Give the original artist some props.
  15. I could use Dick Van Dike in a very crass joke. I will refrain from doing so.
