  1. Thanks! I'm really happy with how the crystal turned out. It's just some cheap glitter paint I've been looking for an excuse to use. I'm still learning how to do faces, which is why she ended up with eye covers.
  2. Got her in the mail a few hours ago. I'm really bad at waiting for paint to dry. Now my lunch is cold. Long time no see, all! Hope everyone is doing well. :D
  3. My SO got a sound mixer for his birthday. This is the person who gave it to him's favorite song, so he decided to record it for his first sound test project as a thank you. I've had it on endless repeat all morning. Can't wait to share with his uncle. :)
  4. My kiddos loved foot rubs, so it was very easy to trick them into claw trimming. They also loved paper bags/boxes and hunted socks. They were very inexpensive to please.
  5. Wow, that's saying a lot, considering the other movies in series. Guess I know what we're doing next weekend.
  6. This thread is awesome. I love the Despicable Me minion! I haven't had much of a chance to do anything fun on Halloween but used to go to a lot of Cosplay conventions. These are some of my favorites: Beating up Sakura as Tinkerballa from The Guild Gogo from Kill Bill vs. Faust Chun Li Another Chun Li Obligatory Facespace Selfie in the Kitana costume I never finished... My boyfriend and I are planning on Dr. Horrible and the Asian Groupie for next year. Edit: Help! This is the cutest 3-year-old I have ever seen!
  7. Yay! I'm not the new kid anymore! *Hazes people.* I mean, uh...welcome! :)
  8. Just out of curiosity, does anyone here actually enjoy Monopoly? There's a 7-page long thread on another forum I frequent where someone was asking for board game suggestions and every single reply was Monopoly. All I could think was...
  9. Don't get old games! There are so many better ones with more balanced/interesting/entertaining mechanics. You should look at videos on Dice Tower and Wil Wheaton's TableTop channel on YouTube. Everyone's tastes are different though. This is my collection with ratings based on how much fun we personally have at game night. (Our group is a good mix of casual, competitive, cooperative, gamers and non-gamers.) http://boardgamegeek.com/collection/user/Ellyria What kind of friends do you have? Would they prefer something confrontational, interactive or abstract? Here are some good video reviews. Forbidden Desert is my favorite co-op. If you like Checkers/Chess style games, Tsuro is great. Some other similar (short, cut-throat) games: Blokus Trigon, Hey, That's My Fish! If you insist on Clue, try to get your hands on The Great Museum Caper. It's out of print but you can still find it used online. Way more fun than the original. If you like dexterity/recognition/reflex games, Ghost Blitz and Pick-a-Pig are a rowdy pile of fun and laughs. If you're just looking for a party game, Cards Against Humanity is like Apples to Apples with highly inappropriate sexual/political jokes and potty humor. You can print your own version at home for about $10. Another fantastic free game that gets infinitely more fun with lots of people is Telephone Pictionary. If you're looking for an RPG theme without the actual RPG part of it, Red Dragon Inn is about brawling, gambling and trying to drink each other under the table. And then there's RoboRally, which has already been mentioned a few times here. You're a computer in a robot factory trying to race around flag grabbing laser mazes. I am CERTAIN any of these will suit your needs more satisfyingly than Trivial Pursuit. ;)
  10. Anyone else play Netrunner? Just found this awesome post about the various expansions. http://www.reddit.com/r/Netrunner/comments/1nnuui/new_player_here_whens_a_good_time_to_pick_up_data/cckcdt5
  11. Got them in the mail today. ERMAHGERD! They're even more adorable in person! Pikachu is the king of photobombs...
  12. Thanks! :) Yep, pretty sure we were separated at birth. St. Luke's in Boise?
  13. Lots of Libra babies. Happy birthday! We really are twins! LOL! :)
