  1. Dance of Death looks awesome! I'm not going to buy it since I really only paint to play with, but I know I'm in for a treat in a couple of years when some some of the forumites get their mitts on that set! I LOVE the Hill Giant Hunter! That one I definitely am going to get, even if I end up having to drop the other Hill Giants from my pledge. I can't help but notice though that we're now 0 for 5 as far as female Hill Giants are concerned. It would be nice to have at least one Giantess to slap around some uppity murder hobos. . . .
  2. One person's Zombie Dragon is another person's Dracolich. . . .
  3. Nice greens. That pic reminds me that there are some holes in my paint collection that I need to fill. What colors did you use?
  4. Is the intent with the Dreadmere Land Terrapin to make the pack, saddle and bridle removable for added versatility? (Love Izzy's concept art, as always )
  5. It's a wonderful paint job. Lovely, rich palette and excellent work on the scarf. I half-expect the mini to try to sell me a Kia.
  6. It's pretty much flavor in a bottle. Good stuff, the Brown Liner of cooking.
  7. I honestly can't say what I like best about these. The highlights? The Cockpits? The weathering? Everything looks great!
  8. Huh. Well, now that you've said it, I can't not see it. Weird. Great paint job so far, though.
  9. I kept telling myself that there was no way I would need the new paints. And then I saw them. *sigh* I'm pretty sure that Anne has reached the point in her alchemy career that the only thing left is to create a Snozzberry RMS triad that actually tastes like snozzberries. . . .
  10. I have to admit, I would get a chuckle out of a stretch goal of a horse, pegasus and new unicorn sculpt entitled, "Magical Friendship".
  11. As others have mentioned, a there are existing Bones figures for a number of these. Here are links to all ones I can think of, if you're interested: Unicorn - http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/77029/sku-down/77029 Banshee - http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/77096/sku-down/77096 Bulette - http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/77372/sku-down/77372 Otyugh - http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/77394/sku-down/77394 Glabrezu - http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/77307/sku-down/77307 Beholder (undersized) - http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/77043/sku-down/77043 Nalfeshnee - http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/77308/sku-down/77308 Solar (Bones III, should eventually be available as) - http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/77594/sku-down/77594
  12. I wish I could say that's been my experience. I've had a number of experiences where the bond is too strong and I've had to either leave the model as is or cut and/or tear the figure apart to repair it. Having to go to the same effort to get the model to look the way it was intended as it would take to full-on mod it detracts from the convenience of the Bones line. But again, that's just personal, anecdotal experience and not necessarily representative of the average consumer. I may just have bad luck when it comes to glued Bones.
  13. The much harder push is convincing Reaper not to glue some of the models. Reaper (or at least Bryan, IIRC) has pretty much stated that it wants Bones to be ready-to-use right out of the package whenever possible. While I can see the utility of such a strategy, it can be really frustrating when the assembly makes the models more difficult to paint or mod, let alone the issue of sloppy assembly and/or excessive gluing. I wish I had a solution to make both sides happy.
  14. I love the new bandits. Dreadmere is shaping up nicely, too, although the Hivewarden seems like it has too big of a "footprint" to be good not-Grell stand-in. Can anyone see the difference between Giant Frog 1 and 2? They look like the same render to me.
  15. "Contemplate this on the Tree of Dispair." I donno. Doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
  16. Would it be easier to remove and re-sculpt half the face? Not for most people, I imagine. The point of using one of those models is that the head is already a cast as a separate part, making it a natural piece to replace. There's nothing to greenstuff that wouldn't be necessary with the stock model. I could see weight being an unwanted factor with Krug. When it comes to Golan, however, he's stable as a (three-legged) table.
  17. I just posted about this in the Minis Request thread, but it occurred to me that if we could buy a metal Cyclops head that fit either of the existing Krug or Golan Hill Giants, we could have a Huge-sized Cyclops without having to produce a second Bones mold. The engineer in me says that the idea's a winner, but my internal marketing exec doesn't agree. . . .
  18. Cyclops Head Okay, this one is weird and definitely requires some additional details. So, we now have Bones Cyclops on the way, but as @Reaper Ron mentioned in the Kickstarter Update comments, there's no agreed upon scale between the two major F20 games. As a result, the new sculpt is too small for 5E. However, either Reaper's Golan or Krug minis would make a good 5E Cyclops if one of them just had a different head. If we could buy a metal Cyclops head that could be used with one of those Hill Giant models, the scale issue could be solved for a fraction of the cost of making a second, Huge-scale Cyclops Bones mold. Kinda feels like a win-win scenario to me.
  19. I'd be cool with it, but I suspect that it's be a Bones V stretch goal at the earliest. As long as I'm wishing though, I'd like to see a female Hill Giant, too. We're currently 0 for 4, there. And then there's the Stone Giants, they need some new sculpt love. And Storm Giants. And Cloud Giants. . . .
  20. Yeah, they're Huge, like most giants in 5E. Look at any of the recent Bones giants for scale. 3" base or not, a Large size mini would just look "small" in comparison.
  21. I love the new Bones Cyclops but am slightly disappointed that it's not scaled to 5E size. Maybe I could try a headswap with one of the hill giants, assuming the resulting pinhead wouldn't look too silly. . . .
  22. Sadly, I think we'll be forced to wait until Bones X for a proper "10 BANANA CREAM PIES!" stretch goal. . . .
  23. With the Nagendra are on the way, it would be cool to fill out the ophidian options in Bones even further: 3676: Giant Snake -- Yes, we already have Julie's fantastic giant cobra, but it's too good of a sculpt to pass up! Large (2" base) not-Yuan Ti Abomination Huge (3" base) not-Yuan Ti Anathema -- Basically, a Huge, multi-headed Abomination. Bigger and even more monster-y. I see the makings of an KS Add-on option here. . . .
  24. Not-Hook Horror? Not-Umberhulk? Were-crab?? Whatever it is, I'm pretty sure I want one two five.
  25. My first go-to would probably be the Bones III cultists. I suspect they could work well, especially with a complementary color scheme.
