Simple amazing. I was following the WIP and I'm still astounded at how well it turned out. :)

I had a week this summer with the family out of town so I did what any self respecting hobbyist does - broke out the paint!
The goal was to try a number of new techniques and get a few minis up to tabletop quality. Overall, some successes and failures. I'm pleased with the way the clay golem and the beholder turned out.

Small detail, I would've liked something like a wash to darken the creases in the tail/skin, even with the skin at the same colour. The tails looks too clean compared to the rest of the minis. As others have said, wonderfully disgusting.
It's funny, I washed the tail twice to bring out the creases but with no luck. I may go back and try again. :)

What a great example of a subtle pallet. I really like how the colors work together and your leather is very nice.

Wow. Nice job. I fought with every stroke on that mini. It's nice to see someone make it shine,

This breaks all the rules for male armour! It's completely impractical! Who wears a speedo to battle! Put this on a female fig ASAP.
Kidding aside, it's a great figure and I really like your colour choices and execution. The shield pulls it together for me. Well done.

Really nice rust effects! It would have been interesting to keep the sword pristine - a magic item resisting the ravages of time.

That's a really nice take on the Ettin. I had not thought of doing him with grey skin, but that works really nicely with the warm browns on the rest of the mini.

I not only painted this troll when it first came out, I just found another copy and painted it as well.
I love this sculpt and your paint job really does it justice. Nice job.

I really like the fur patern you've chosen and your basing it outstanding. Nice work,

Very solid paint job, if you haven't painted in a long time you're going to be scary good when you shake off the rust.
I do try to paint off and on, so I'm not completely out of practice but I appreciate the encouragement!

Love the figure. Great detail and the vien in his leg is a particularly nice touch. If I could offer on small bit of advice for the severed limbs... adding the ends of cut bone where the skeleton would be (if the figs came with interior skeletons) would give the wounds a slightly more realistic feel.

What a nice example showing how the same mini can look so very different depending on colour choice. They are both fantastic. Great work.
