  1. So is this like last time, where more can be added onto an order AFTER the Kickstarter has ended? I want to hop on now, but due to being on bi-weekly pay, and this Kickstarter being absurdly short (to me), I want to just grahb a spot and worry about adding funds later. But if that's a no-go this time around, I may have to just pass up this time.
  2. Can we get more townsfolk? I seriously need a full set for campaigns, and Bones only has a few. Some villagers, clergy, bandits, etc from the old Dar Heaven townsfolk sets would be a most welcome addition.
  3. I would disagree about it NOT being immoral--in fact, it seems to be precisely, blatantly immoral. As you said, definitely not illegal, but seeing as morality is literally defined as, "principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior," and honesty IS a black-and-white, right or wrong thing (no matter the grounds, we all learned in kindergarten that lying is wrong and honesty is right, regardless of consequence), and DIShonesty is immoral (wrong), I would say it IS clearly immoral. Just because something is the norm does not mean that it is moral.
  4. I don't know if this been brought up before, but I figured this might be the thread to do it. I understand some people may face financial hardships after investing in a Kickstarter and so will sell upon fulfillment to pay off debts or whatnot; it's understandable, and commendable to part with something you might have enjoyed in order to face up to sudden responsibilities like an adult. But there all ready seems to be a flood of Bones II packages for sale on eBay--a lot of them wave 1 slots people seem to have taken simply to make money by selling the sets for 2-3x the amount they paid as b

  6. Does 91001: Stone from Bones II remind anyone else of Cole from Brom's Devil's Rose or Roland from The Dark Tower? Definitely excited to get my hands on a good gunslinger Bones mini so I can expand my current campaign into something a bit more... surreal
  7. This type of stuff? http://static1.jetpens.com/images/a/000/009/9882.jpg I think Massive Voodoo uses India ink as well--the bottle looks very familiar. Definitely putting that on my list of things to try! Luckily I have two, and so I'll have a chance to try both. I've been finding rust effects with paint quite a bit difficult--from what I've seen with other painters, pigments tend to work best in order to 'weather' things up. Thank you for all the input and feedback! This is definitely a fun project so far. Check out Siri's guide in the Painting Advice section. Also check ou
  8. Denizens of Leng would be really cool. And a Coeurl. And a Flumph. Please?

  10. Very beautiful. The base adds a whole dimension to the piece. Great job :yesway:
  11. I've always wanted to do a verdigris miniature. It's been nearly 13 months since I first picked up a brush, and while I still have a lot to learn, I am far more comfortable trying new things now as opposed to when I started. Anyway, this is my WIP Iron Golem. I wanted to do light verdigris--not fully consumed metal, and so I kept my effect to the places that I thought would be weathered most. While it wasn't in progress in this set of pictures, I had only just slapped on my base layers, I am also going to attempt a rust-effect on the sword. For the meta
  12. Thank you very much! She's a tough little mini, but she's also one of the most unique and interesting Reaper has to offer, IMO.
  13. So, I've been painting for nearly a full year now. When I first started miniature painting, I didn't know what I wanted to get out of it besides some fun. Now, I'm thinking that I want to (eventually) try my hand at some light commission work, possibly. Who knows? Anyway, four months ago, I painted this 60036: Visbaronetess Delour Aulamaxa. I used this miniature for nmm gold practice, skin, makeup and facial painting practice only. The rest of the miniature--the dress and such--I didn't care as much about. I have already gotten comfortable painting cloth and such. I really wanted to fo
  14. Thanks for the details! I ask because I wasn't able to afford either Kickstarter at the time of release, but recently found the means. I saw that I am able to order for the aforementioned mark-up, which is still a more-than-fair price. I guess I just really want the experience of the Kickstarter
  15. Silly question, possibly, but I have to ask: I see that there are still spots available on Bones Kickstarter 2 to hop on board. If I grab one of those, will I count toward the shipping estimate of the group I buy into (i.e. wave 8 has almost 2000 spots left). I see that I still have an option to purchase, and fulfill the pledge total that I add to my order, but I just wanted to make sure beforehand. Sorry if this was already covered--I never have luck with the search function despite all my tries!
  16. Awesome! I'll PM you when I figure out a weekend I can make to see if you're available!
  17. I've been out of the loop a bit, but my thumb has healed up and I've been painting again, so I'd love to join in on the next meetup. I read back a couple pages, but am still a bit confused--is the June meetup a no-go?
  18. I would love to see some darker female necromancer/sorceress/insertclasshere characters, not necessarily drow but spindly, flowing, gothic-y style sculpts. Style I have in mind: (NOTE: Please let me know if this last picture is inappropriate, I will take it down immediately.) All art credited to Menton J. Matthews III
  19. The release schedule baffles me. Why release the DM Guide last? It sets back fully playable games to 2015 (fully playable 5th edition games, that is). After giving 4th edition a very wide birth, I'm curious, but I'm already seeing some more poor decisions made by WotC. Has to be foreshadowing
  20. I don't normally paint sci-fi, but I'm up for a challenge.
  21. The eyes are outstanding. One of my favourite Reaper sculpts :yesway:
  22. That's awesome, thanks for the info! I know of the Citadel, but haven't gotten a chance to visit since I was a kid, and many other hobby shops turned full Warhammer/Hordes since then.
