  1. I love me some Onyx Path, but I've been spending too much on Kickstarters lately. I need to save my dough for the Changling: The Dreaming 20th Anniversary campaign. I wish them luck, though. I've met a few of the employees, and they're hoopy froods.
  2. I hope your parent(s) had the sense of humor to actually give you a lump of coal from Santa that year. If I was a parent, I wouldn't have been able to resist. To get back on topic: One of my friends at work is going to be watching the Blink episode of Doctor Who for the first time soon. I can't wait to get my angels, paint them, and then scare him.
  3. If I still had my original LTPK instructions, I'd start on Anhurians! :) You know, if they're not going to re-release the original LTPKs, I wish they would provide the PDFs, or even sell just the instruction sheets... For the original Anhurians in the LTPK1 the instructions were basically base coat, wash, dry brush, done. And that's what gave me the confidence to start painting. They were the least intimidating instructions possible. :) You should get the Bones LTPK and tell us what you think of those instructions. I did already, actually. :) I've only painted the skeleton from it. I felt like it was a step up in difficulty, and therefore intimidation, from the original LTPK1. The biggest difference was having you mix your own paints. I'm comfortable with it now, but it was a little daunting at first. I would say it's somewhere between basic and intermediate. Call it Painting 104 instead of the Painting 101 that is LTPK1.
  4. Nice! I have gotten my dungeons and caverns pre-painted, but I might be cheap and get the next DF Kickstarter stuff unpainted and do it myself. Thanks for the inspiration!

  6. I want to paint at your house! Bring paints, brushes and minis! I'm always looking for excuses to paint. I don't really have much trouble coming up with excuses to drink beer...
  7. Since I didn't get in on Bones I, I've been filling my weekends making beer for use when I get Bones II.
  8. Some of us weren't smart enough to get in on Bones I. :(
  9. If the container is released from customs between now and Wednesday, I would not be surprised if Bryan updated us soon after he was notified. If it's released Thursday, I would expect him to wait until Friday to update. However, if it's not released, there isn't much other than "holding pattern" to update with.
  10. Yeah, unlocking them all would have been ideal. :) Still, only waiting 5 months is kind of nice, assuming they ship the dice on time.
  11. I'm going to say Aluminum, Duraluminum, and Lerasium. I've only read the first three Mistborn books, and those pretty much round out all the metals used in them.
  12. I expect to slow down my Kickstarter funding significantly since I won't be able to use my "fun stuff" Discover card through them any more. Waiting for: Alas Vegas: Limited Edition Hardcover: Due Jun 2013 (I'm not writing this one off yet. The guy used to publish RPGs, and he has been updating, if infrequently. I would be surprised to get this in 2015, though.) Deluxe Exalted 3rd Edition: Due Dec 2013 (I'm guessing Jun 2015 for this. Lots of delays due to writer health.) Mind's Eye Theater: Vampire The Masquerade: Deluxe PDF Due Late Jan 2015, Deluxe Hardcover due 4 weeks after that (I'm guessing Feb and Apr 2015 for these. And I was wrong. Still waiting on the hardcover.) You Need These Dice: Due Mid-Feb 2015 (Delayed from Dec 2014. Still waiting for these, although he is shipping them out slowly.) Kingdom of Loathing: The Trade Paperback!: Due Mar 2015. (Production should be starting soon on this.) d20Pro Unlimited Virtual Tabletop: Due Mar 2015. Latest update puts this Late April 2015 now. (Delayed.) Deluxe Mage: The Ascension 20th Anniversary Edition: Due Mar 2015 (Still in proofing.) Death & Taxes (minis only): Due Jun 2015 Mistborn Allomancy Dice: Due Jun 2015 Stones Dungeon Tiles: Due Jul 2015 CAV: SO (Still need the non-core figs): Due Jul 2015 Five Moons RPG (PDF only): Due Aug 2015 Shadowrun: Hong Kong: Broke down and backed this now. Due Aug 2015 Deluxe Wraith: the Oblivion 20th Anniversary Edition: Due Nov 2015 Deluxe V20 Dark Ages: Due Nov 2015 Shotguns and Sorcery RPG: Due Dec 2015 Received: Reaper Bones 2: Received in full and in good condition. WIBA: Yes. Of course. Expecting to pledge on: Deluxe Changeling: The Dreaming 20th Anniversary Edition: I'm a WW/OP fanboy, and I want to complete my collection. Latest email hints at a Fall 2015 campaign for this. Bones 3: A boy can dream. DREAMS DO COME TRUE!!!!
  13. Looks like we ended with 3 exclusive dice, and 10 regular as well as a free copy of the adventure game. Awesome. Due date is Jun 2015.
  14. Yup, same here. Which is good, since in the Deadlands setting, he IS undead...
  15. It sounds like they're working with the Cards Against Humanity people. So, they know people whose job it is have large numbers of cards printed, package them, and ship them out. I'm hoping that helps mitigate any fulfillment problems.
  16. I don't even read The Oatmeal, and I'm considering backing this. It looks like a fun party game with rules simple enough to teach in 5 minutes but with a little bit of strategy and screw-your-friend-over-ness.
  17. My wife is a geek/hobbyist/fangirl, but since she makes 3 times what I do, she keeps us from being broke. :D
  18. I will be as soon as I receive my Bones 2 and start painting them. :)
  19. Looks like this will totally hit $30k. I wonder what the next exclusive level will be?
  20. Yeah. Sanderson's media crew sent out a reminder yesterday. I think that's what picked things up. I'm excited about getting the rules. A ruleset and 10 dice for $20 is not too shabby.
  21. I like the "pledge this much, and get one of thing this Kickstarter is for" approach. It's nice after having pledged to a lot of Kickstarters where stretch goals were super important. I haven't pledged for this, but it's nice to see something able to drum up a lot of money without having to promise the world.
  22. Are you really telling Bryan to release your kraken?
  23. And I'm not entirely certain that my wife understands that I spent $300 on another BONES KS. Even though I've told her multiple times. Wait! How did you get by with only ordering $300 worth?!?! I'm scared what my slightly south of $550 will look like now!
  24. I've been trying to prep my wife for the "mini" called Khanjira... :D
