I LOVE the way the "bare metal" is shinier than the dull old paint - it really sells the whole thing - magnificently done! So paint the whole thing rusty and then put paint over the top and chip/scrape away to the rust - AWESOME - learn something new every day... That is why the paint chipping looks 3D - it is!!! I would have done it the exact opposite way and it would not have come out nearly as nice - now i know better! Thanks for the lesson and for sharing this very unique sculpt and paint job

Amazing how much the highlighting brings the whole thing to life! - Great work I really want to see a wash on the metallic scales - something to darken the cracks and make them pop

Great stuff - good use of nontraditional colors - i REALLY like the illusion of translucency on the wings (i wasn't sure translucency was a word, but spell check likes it!) - that little bit of subtle mottling really gives the appearance of light showing through AWESOME!

I need to paint a figure for someone in my game group who has CryoHydra armor (offers protection from cold) from a Cryo Hydra that we killed and dressed and then paid to have her armor custom crafted. I am bookmarking this because it is EXACTLY what i hope my armor will end up looking like Thanks for the inspiration!

always amazing to me how much life and depth people with talent can put into muted browns and grays look at the boots! they look like they have walked many miles, and a lot of them damp and miserable... how the heck can you do that with such a narrow palette??? someday i will do this along with the painting guide - that should be laughable! thanks for the inspiration

i liked it already before i saw the backside... i was marveling at how brilliantly you froze a moment that captured the whole story then i saw the back and the story got ever more delicious! really nice work - a well deserved win!

The only thing more incredible than the paint work is stopping to consider how much of that amazing paintwork is done in really inaccessible areas ! I know you assembled last but there are still a lot of details painted in folds and obscured spaces - i have difficulty getting one color into some areas. let alone shading and freehanding eyes!

I would really LOVE to see a metal or bones version of the Pathfinder pre painted Ranzak. This is a pirate goblin with a macaw on his shoulder - truly an awesome sculpt - just begging to be painted well - which means i'll have to buy it for someone else ;)

This is very close to funding - i hope it does, cause this is too fun. I have backed a bunch of Atomico's Kickstarters - he always delivers, usually within weeks of the end of the KS.
