I always get a kick out of seeing folks painted models they pick up from me
That was your booth? My wife bought that for me while I was teaching. Its a great kit, had a lot of fun building it, then painting it.

Its been a while since I updated this post, but the sea campaign is still going on. To add to the fun, I picked up a small boat at Reapercon from Board and Brew Games in the Vendor hall. Because I bought a ton of stuff, I want to speed paint most of it to get it all to the table and enjoy it rather than have more stuff sitting in the someday closet. Here is the speedy version of "Blood and Plunder Bark" by Firelock games. Took me 3 hours total to prep, build, paint and rig the boat. Hope yall like it.

Thanks everyone!! I will keep a look out for the sign-up thread after the delivery of my official Reaper "The wife is going to be so angry" Box of Goodies arrives 🙂
While the pledge manager was still open my wife kept saying, "youre going to want two of those if YOU plan to paint one too". Lol. She kind of went nuts on all the dragons, maybe I should get myself a gift card to a hobby store to lessen her impact. Lol

So this is the start of what I hope to finish for Reapercon. Its going to be a diorama that shows 3 busted elephant myths with a 4th about to be busted. Still a lot to do, but I like where these are currently
The last 2 are to show the conversion I did to show the busting of the myth "elephants drink with their trunks"

Well, sometimes it's just fun to slap some paint on a figure in a few hours just to take your mind off of other things
Exactly!! This dude looks great. Many of us sometimes allow ourselves to forget, the hobby is supposed to be fun and stress relieving. Tabletop level painted minis not only provide that quick fun, but bring joy to others in a game. Good work! I have a handful of Heritage minis that are about to get the same level of painting.

First, Wonderful work on all the scenery, it continues to look great!
my group would have woken the dragon arguing about how not to wake the dragon! congratulations to the group for sneaking out!
Second: Zombie crew! Its a good thing if you can get them. they aren't quick on the uptake but at least they don't eat into the profits (though they could eat into the living crew i guess 😄
Thanks,
Yeah, I was shocked they pulled it off with the dragon.
Zombies... lol.. no no. The crew is alive, I just used the same minis as all the bad guys they had beaten earlier in the session. The process of them vetting potential crew members was some great role playing.

So a couple of pics from tonights game.
They picked up right where they left off and had to sneak into a young dragons lair to steal a couple of items without waking the young but formitable dragon....
They searched for a long while and found the items. They even managed to not wake the dragon, which was actually a difficult task. Until they were leaving! The last person out failed the last roll needed. She was quick to take a potion of gaseous form which left the young dragon quite confused. They then made their way back to town.
Upon getting back to the docks, their boat was surrounded bt the pirates/cultists who have been chasing after the same items. A fight insued
They then hired a crew ( repurposed the dead bad guy minis as the new crew) to help them get both ships back to their home town to deliver the items of the quest.
After a few storms they made the 16 day trip back to their town. .... this chapter is complete.

You've got a fairly impressive terrain collection, too
I can only take half the credit. My wife makes a lot of our terrain. Most of the swamp pieces she did for example.

Crappy pics (sorry about that) of tonights game session. They met "Anton Gatorheel" swamp ranger, who offered to be their guide for the low cost of a bottle of rum and some random gear.
Anton lead them to an overgrown swamp ruin...where they fought lizardfolk
A concealed passage led to an underground temple.... for the big fight of the evening. Against a Toad Demon!
They fought hard, but ultimately decided to run from the demon... unleashing him into the swamp in the process.... to be continued...

No clue. They were 3d prints.

In the effort to slowly get my backlog under control, I have been trying to paint things as I get them, and a few more from the backlog each week. With that in mind, I have painted all of my picks from the BoGW. Here is a collage of most of them. Mostly speed paints, some kinda rough, but they are done and many have hit the game table already.

There's some great inspiration here. Thanks.
Thanks. Oddly enough the big fight scene with the barge loaded with undead went fast. The later weak bullywugs attack, which should have been nothing for the PCs was almost deadly for the heros

It really was, so much so that we played from 4pm to after midnight. The players now have this big barge to travel around on. They are debating whether or not to change the figurehead. Good thing I magnetised that.

The Sea Campaign
in General Fantasy
Posted
The campaign is still going on, we play about every 2 weeks. Its been a lot of fun. So much fun that I have forgotten to take pictures most of the time. But here are a few of next game sessions big bad.
This thing is huge. Heres a picture with the minis for the players for scale. To paraphrase Negan from TWD, "I hope yall wore your (pooping) pants, cause somebody is definitely (pooping) in their pants today"
