i use Master's Touch too. i'm rough on brushes, and it's just not worth the price for really nice miniature painting brushes that i then ruin.

i dont even know what i do. maybe i paint with too much pressure, but after a little bit of use my tiny brushes usually develop a curve / hook end

Sounds like you are using synthetics.

Wow, I just finished a project that was several years in the making. I had a WW1 Colt pistol, by the dates it certainly made it to the Front. But they would be rebuilt in arsenals many times so mine was not correct and I spent many years acquiring the correct parts. Today I received the hardest one to find a correctly marked slide that has not been modified.

Lovely....I did my pistol qualification with one of these, all original.

  3. On the subject of removing the primer from the figures, I've tried Isopropyl  alcohol, pinesol, simple green and finally out of frustration acetone(I  knew it would damage the mini at the very least). None of them worked very well. They took a very long time and required vigorous scrubbing with less than satisfactory results. Then I broke down and tried Krud Kutter graffiti remover. Thirty minute soak and maybe five minutes of scrubbing and ninety-nine percent of the primer was removed.
