Tuesday, July 21: Do you every use your hobby developed skills for practical life purposes, and if so what?

Knowledge of saws came up as a little surprise to a teacher once, a few years ago. An important essay I'm writing now is about the Wars of the Roses, my choice because I saw a really cool log of Wars of the Roses from the Perrys.

I await the day when little models become the new form of extremely valuable currency.

Miniature Monday, July 20:  What is the strangest mini you have ever painted.

Haven't painted any strange minis (Though haven't painted that many minis in general ). I'll say the strangest miniature I own is the Red Gobbo from last year. When I think about it, a communist christmas goblin standing on a sack of grenades is not something I encounter every day.

What chapter will you be painting them?

Some of them are going to be Emperor's Spears, light blue and white, while I'm going to mull over the assault intercessors and outriders for a while before I choose a scheme for them.

The Necrons are going to be Thokt, black with blue energy bits, and Tsarakura, which is black with jade bits and white as an accent.

@Crowley Praying that things will go well for you.

Today is going to be finishing that essay and getting some sources for the second one.

12 years ago, my dear husband and I became a pair o' Boots for eternity.  :bday:

We've been together longer than the national US average (8 years), made it to the Australian average (12 years), and are looking forward to beating the Italian average (18 years) and beyond! ^_^

    Huzzah!

Me, oldest vixen and my girl will be heading for an Ikea trip later this afternoon.

    Pray for me!

Don't forget a ball of thread to find your way out once the minotaur is dead.

Might be ordering some IKEA stuff soon for the desk and a storage space for the miniatures.

Not at all. Sounds like to me you just got a "meh" tea. Were the "bubbles" the kind that you bite into and they pop and the liquid in them spills out (bobas), or were they the more chewy ones (tapioca pearls)?

Yeah, it was the tapioca pearls.  Boba refers to tapioca pearls here (And is also slang for large bosoms apparently.) I haven't heard of bubbles that pop with liquid inside them, but that sounds pretty nice.

An aside, got another set of the really nice but expensive coffee bottles. Planning to use the bottles once I'm done with the coffee for horticulture or even terrain.

@TheAuldGrump 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was one of my favourite books when I was quite young, though I don't know if it was the original version or abridged.
