I am a total 'tread head' as @hjorhrafn can testify to. The contest is open to any CAV model. The more non-CAV the better. J--

Reading the thread below gave me the idea to organize a friendly 'KitBash' competition. Something like... everyone chooses a CAV and converts it in some meaningful way. Competition runs for a calendar month. We post a before and after image and then @CAVBOSS picks the winner(s). Just something fun to do really... Any interest...? Now that the CAV Secret Santa is winding down I'd be happy to manage the little bit of 'admin' the contest would require. J--

I updated the status of the first post to show whose models have shipped / been received. Please post when you've received your model even if you choose not to open it until Christmas. It helps us track who has received their gift and who we might need to supply a replacement painter for. Please include a photo or two and some idea of how you plan to use the model. The SS exchange is really about camaraderie and fellowship both of which require communication. J--

@Savage Coyote I really love the weathering on your model. There are plenty of places on the internet to see how to weather larger scale models but few that show how to do it on smaller models. Perhaps we could encourage you to write a little something up about how to do it...? J--

Here is the latest addition to the 333rd Adon armored reserves. This militia unit is equipped with a just enough castoff and captured equipment to maintain their status as a 'fighting unit'. Intercepted Terran intelligence describes the unit as 'uncommonly good' and 'the Keeblers' despite the 333rds lack of actual combat experience. Thanks to Jeneki for the most excellent tanks! J--

Just to make sure I understand this particular FAQ. "Is the enemy model required to be in the AoE of the activating model’s APA system? What if it has both a APA and ECM system? No, jamming does not require targeting data so it less dependent on range and an enemy model equipped with a APA and ECM system will have BOTH systems jammed." You're saying there is no range limit to how far an APA equipped model can jam - from one diagonal corner to the opposite? J--

Mine is done should go in the mail tomorrow. I left the base generic so he could model all of his force to look the same. Hope 'D' likes it. I'm pretty sure he knows whose model it is. Looking forward to seeing the other models you paint to go in this force.

Just got in my SS mini to paint. Plan to clean, assemble, and base this week. Paint on model Sunday...? How is your model coming along? J--

My favorite aspect of the game is the combined arms part. Show off some tanks/aircraft...? Make some LOS blocking terrain. Use painted minis...? Give each player a 'hidden' tactical objective. Capture an objective, damage each unit in another player's force, get a model across the table to the other board edge. That sort of thing. J--
