So far so good.  Right now the following is hoped for/wished for in the future:

    - getting an error message when I try to switch factions after already selecting one

    - getting an error message when I try to print

    - models that have cards but not miniatures are absent, which makes several factions unplayable and limits options of others

Very exciting all the same, especially for those of us who can't use the Force Builder program!

I just found this thread... maybe I knew about it and forgot about it. Anyway, I hope to have time this winter to finish this tool up, but I wanted to address this post since it was the first one.

    - With regard to the faction switching - you should be able to do that now, but you MUST have created an account as the wordpress shell will not allow access to all the resources needed to do the switching.
    - With regard to printing... well, that should be a weekend fix, and hopefully I'll get a weekend to do that before the end of the year.

    - As far as the models/cards UA, I should be able to work on that in between stuff, so hopefully before end of October or ThanksGiving anyway, all of the datacard should be available... [fingers crossed].

I like the theme so if you want to really explore the theme out turn one or even two of the yeti into wolves to add some reach to your army and harass the enemy with some long range swift attacks. Especially if you can work the flanks a bit and kill casters or archers bothering you.

if you don't mind humans as bait and fodder you could try something like this:

    Icingstead - 500 points

    Troop 1
    Dorog Frostclaw, Yeti Chieftain
    Oga Snowpelt, Yeti Shaman
    Yeti Warrior
    Winter Wolf x 2
    Barbarian Spearthrower x 2
    Barbarian Axeman

    Troop 2
    Ice Troll

    Troop 3
    Winter Wolf x 4

This has the added advantage to getting more types of damage available in the same troop.  Thus you have ranged, melee and magic damage to try and weaken larger targets before finishing them.

Sooo... trying to keep humans out of the army, what do you think about this change?

    Icingstead - Monsters Doctrine

    Troop 1 (317 pts)
    Dorog Frostclaw, Yeti Chieftain
    Oga Snowpelt, Yeti Shaman
    Yeti Warrior x 2
    Winter Wolf x 3

    Troop 2 (90 pts)
    Ice Troll

    Troop 3 (96 pts)
    Winter Wolf x 4

    Troop 4 (-3 pts)
    Albatross Amulet

    500 pts

    Models: 12 DTs: 31 Cards: 3+0

Monsters Doctrine Savage North - page 80

Icy Veins All non-human models gain a +2 bonus on Poison Checks; enemy models do not gain the benefits of the Bloodlust SA when attacking them.
Outrider Any non-human Captain or Elite model may be fielded as a Solo model.
Monstrous Fighter Enemy models may not disengage from B2B with Large or Giant Base Size Icingstead models unless they are larger than the enemy Icingstead model. Models attacking with Swift Attack may disengage as normal.

Roster output created Aug, 22 2019 by the Warlord 2nd Edition Unofficial Army Creator 2.0.1

  4. UPDATE: Just a few simple enhancements that I hope folks will find useful...
    1) Army "Quick Stats" are now functional for Models and Damage Tracks info in the builder page as you build your army. (Sorry, cards are proving to be a bit more of a challenge inside the builder than I originally thought, but I will get there.)

    2) The Roster has a new "Title" format... I liked the way Reinchard reworked the output on his posts, so I mimicked what he did by removing the points from the actual Roster Title and moving them to the stats line. The Roster Title format is now FACTION - ARMY-NAME - DOCTRINE (if selected). Also note, if you don't name the roster and have no doctrine selected, it will just display the FACTION NAME on the roster ouput.

    3) Speaking of the Roster output - total army points, models, damage tracks and cards are now being displayed just below the troop section of the output.

    4) A footer tag has been included at the bottom of the first page that tells you when you created the roster (I'll include the time if folks deem it important) along with the army creator version info.

I also had to make a minor change to the data cards included with the roster since adding the alternate model codes caused the card alignment to get distorted on some of the card because of the extra space taken up by the alt product codes.

I like the theme here and the wolves will work well with the shaman and the troll to keep the enemy occupied with their Monstrous Faction Doctrine while still providing line of sight.  Some of your magic is going to have to be used by an ironskin spell if you are fighting anything with ranged because without any deflect or high DV long ranged fire is going to be devastating.

An army like this would be very dangerous to yours.  I call it my reach out and touch somebody army.

    Icingstead - 499 points

    Troop 1
    Svetlana, Frost Giant Princess
    Familiar x 3
    Nadezhda the White, Ice Witch
    Oga Snowpelt, Yeti Shaman
    Barbarian Spearthrower x 7

    Oh, nice mix there!
Any ideas on what I might change to address this without losing the focus of the army?

  8. UPDATE: Bug Fix! -- Apparently, there was a bug regarding Innate Spells that caused the output to be halted. I don't know how many people experienced this problem while building their armies because only ONE person reported it... And it took me a while to get some time to debug the issue.

Anyway, a HUGE apology to anyone this bug affected... All should be good now!

...I actually hunted around in the top menu pages before finding the army builder lower down back on the front page, so please consider also putting links to it and the data cards reference in the Game Reference menu.

Where would you like to see the Army Builder link appear?

  10. UPDATE: Given the focus on Bones products in the Warlord line, I thought it might be helpful to start including the alternate product codes on the data cards (where they exist). Attached is a sample of the card - which simply adds the alternate product code after the original product code (see red arrows).

If anyone sees a problem with this approach, please let me know. My intention is to start adding BONES (or BONES BLACK) product codes to the database as alternate products. My assumption is that folks are interested in building their armies with cheaper bones products and I hope this eventually helps. (When I get all the alternate product codes entered.)

PS: These alternate codes will also start showing up in the datasheet for each faction - I'm coding those changes as I type this.

There's now a real wishlist, so you shouldn't need to put stuff into your cart until you're ready to buy. To add product to the wishlist, press the heart icon.

Thanks for that... I have already setup lists that I hope will help with the issue - even though it seems to get "klunkier" as the various lists grow.

  12. NOTE OF CAUTION: Folks, don't leave stuff in your cart for when you are ready to place the order, the cart appears to automagically dump its contents after a certain period time with an email saying...
Hey there. We wanted to remind you that you have some items in your shopping cart at Reapermini.com. In another day, we're going to be releasing those items back into our inventory."
...Since I was on vacation when the message arrived, I didn't get the message until AFTER it dumped the cart.

I used to put requests and special orders in the cart to make sure I did not forget them on my next order - now I will have to find another way to accomplish that task... Hopefully, I made notes on the ones that I just lost!

  13. NOTICE!
I plan on moving the whole website currently hosting the unofficial Warlord Army Creator to a new server this coming week (August 12-17, 2018)

The Unofficial Army Creator has been moved to a new (faster) server and upgraded to work with the latest versions of the core languages. You will also notice that everything within the site/tool is also now served securely. Ultimately everything is still the same functionally but the new home should support more simultaneous users without noticeable performance degradation and your logins are now handled securely.

Should anyone experience any problems, please PM me so that I can look into it for you.

PS: I also want to apologize to folks about not finishing up the IMPORT feature... Life has just kept me too distracted to get that done.

  14. I just discovered this model and wanted to find out if someone could verify which faction it belongs to... The closest datacard I can find is for 14182 Nightspecter (Spectral) in Necropolis, but I'm not really sure what to do with this model. When I search for the sku on the ReaperMini site, it shows it belongs to Warlord, but I cannot find it in any of the product lists for any of the armies. Am I just missing it or what?

    Thanks!

  15. UPDATE: Spell Books Sorting - - By Request, the spells in the Spell Books are now sorted by cost then by spell name. The logic is that it helps locate spells easier as you reduce your casting power - and of course this made perfect sense once discussed.

NOTE: I have also added a grayed out placeholders for a stats line on the builder form that will display Models, Damage Tracks, and Cards as you build your Army Roster. Model and DT stats appear in the finished roster, but are not yet functional in the builder (which is why they are grayed out) as you are working on the roster - this is now on the upgrade list.

UPCOMING UPGRADE: The ability to IMPORT model data cards from other factions - most useful for those playing Mercenaries, but depending on your house rules, etc., this could be another nice addition for players.
