@Reaper_Jon Thanks to Reaper for connecting this group to Reapercon.  Our group had a fantastic time with a great DM, and the Embassy staff made it easy getting over and back.  Fun little establishment with a great vibe.

Yes, It was a good time and I hope we can do it again next year!

  2. Inked - show me your tattoo(s), or temp tattoo, or draw on yourself (must be a picture)

Introvert - be introverted... This one seems complicated but its not really.

New this year a lanyard pin for proof of working out during the con.

  3. I'll be there Monday - Monday. For bingo: I have a dragoneye pendant I plan to wear everyday, I also have my avatar pin (and more dragons) on my lanyard. If that's not enough to find me I'll also usually have my b&w miniature monthly bowling shirt that says Dragoneye on it... 😉

I'm also the source for Inked and Introvert ribbons and new pins for getting your exercise in even at a con (all need to be earned/proven)

There is a distinct lack of maracas in these photos.

I have a fever, and the only prescription is more maracas.

Im mad I didn’t think to take a photo of the guy wearing business casual (no hat) holding a beer, while riding a horse through a very loud, crowded city street.

Those photos appear to have been taken on the 2nd... The maracas we're added on the 3rd!

I didn't think to take pictures of them!

    I made it home guys!

Left around 7 am with @Geoff Davis , @Dragoneye and @ragados (so much talent in that SUV sitting next to me) and arrived home around 10:30 pm. No major issues with the flights, but for hours my kidneys decided to work overtime while my bladder was still on vacation.

Back to ReaperCon, I NEEDED THIS! The "family reunion with people you like" analogy is so appropriate. Meeting old friends, meeting others for the first time, missing those that couldn't make it. The classes, the games, the activities, the ceremony, the auction, @Thes Hunter's birthday... uhm... after hours consentful commemoration activity, so much food and drink, making myself known as the maple liquor and fudge guy.

As physically exhausting as it was, this was totally worth it. I'm gonna have weird fantastic dreams tonight.

I'll review my swag haul after a night's rest.

Great seeing you again... I'll need to make sure I try the fudge and maple liquor next year!

    Quizzle for 12 January 2022

Coffee, tea, juice or milk, what is by your breakfast plate?

Coffe, black.. a few cups (whatever my portion of the pot ends up being). Then black teas... Yorkshire Gold is wonderful.

[This is gonna stir things up!]

    What's the best cookie? 😈

Cowboy cookies! Oatmeal coconut chocolate chip with walnuts. Pecan dreams are second.

    Question for September 30th:

If you could transport yourself to a fictional reality (from books, TV, movies, RPGs, whatever) which would you pick?

Pern ... because Dragons. I wouldn't want to be out in Threadfall, but then who in their right mind would... unless of course you have a dragon.

    Weekend Quest!

What was the first miniature to really grab your attention. The one that made you fall in love with the hobby. Did you ever actually buy and paint it? Do you still have it? Do you still love it?

I think it was Onyx from Rackham. I did buy it. I've started painting him multiple times,  but have never finished him. I still want to paint him..

Brinewind Store. The auction is fun as a social event, but this allowed me to get something I wanted within reason. The auction gets way to 'serious' sometimes.

    Scheduled time between classes.

MSP Open in a separate room

The displays and doc cams for classes.

Shorter classes (especially as the teachers had short notice about that) - yes I know I also like the time between... I'm contrary like that.

No con wrap-up. I agree with ChaosWolf on the feeling of just running out of gas.

    I miss vendor swag too

No center aisle (or any aisle) during the awards ceremony.

August 27: What is something that helps you destress?

A good weightlifting workout. The need to focus completely on lifting is meditative to me. It pushes my viewpoint to just 'the now' and provides perspective on what's causing stress.

August 28th: We chatted about pie vs cake the other day. What other desserts do you enjoy?

Bonus quest: Make or share a recipe this weekend!

I think I like all things sweet... I introduced my daughter to a mocha shake this week... so yummy. Also cinnamon candied pecans, tiramisu, creme brulee, cheesecake, ice cream and frozen custard , cookies... and pie and cake (I like both!)

August 11: What’s the worst job you’ve ever had?

I had a work-study job at one of the university kitchens. It wasn't that bad, I remember shredding a lot of big blocks of cheese. Just, boring. What I don't remember is quitting... I think I just stopped going.

August 9: What is the most disastrous experiment you have ever tried in the hobby?

A very thick resin pour. I did it all in one go. Im glad i didnt start a fire or melt the figure. It is still sticky.  But even so, earned a silver and silver monster award at reapercon.. go figure.
