  1. They've updated the code to stop working on days that end in y. It's been their most consistent fix so far.
  2. Well, looks like I'm gonna have to try to "fix" my new Mars Pro the hard way if I want to use it, as the replacement parts won't be mailed out until at least the first week of September as per the email I got this morning from Elegoo. This is the replacement unit after my first unit arrived with a bad power supply, and as it was made post-pandemic, it has a pretty severe case of the bad LED array issue, Oo course. And I'm just outside of the return window. Of course. Did I mention the price has dropped twice since I got it? Of course. And now there's a new updated version coming out for what I paid for the (2) non-functional units. Of course. Sigh. I did get the free FEPs so I was fine with the first $20 drop, but the $30 drop the day my return window closed along with the detective hardware has definitely introduced a bit of buyers remorse. At least Elegoo is on top of it, doing a great job at trying to rectify the Mars Pro issues while launching 2 new units at the same time amidst a global pandemic. Just stinks to not be able to use something I bought, especially since I thought that hardware wise the resin machine was going to be a lot easier to get up and running Oh well, more time to play with the Ender 3 Pro I got in the meantime - nothing like being able to print toys for kids who love watching it work. Keep showing off your prints guys - failures too. The encouragement and education from this thread was a major force in buying my first printer - someday I'll even get to use it!
  3. Finally made it to the end of this thread! Great little hidden resource of info I bought a Mars Pro last week, and Lasership (Amazon's Uber-like shipping partner) delivered this: Most likely dropped in place - I knew something was up when I got the 'delivered' notice with no picture attached. Just got around to checking it out, and sure enough it's DOA. Look like it's just the power brick, but considering the delivery condition I'm just returning it for a new one from the big river - no need to risk anything else being wrong. Oh well, looks like my weekend just freed up :-) Also got an Ender 3 Pro coming next week, along with another set of new things to learn.
  4. If that's the pre-cut stuff, be careful - I've found it to be thinner than the rolls, and it can tear easily after a day or so - especially when remixing paint.
  5. This. Also, I give them a sharp tap in my palm to force any paint in the tip back into the bottle.
  6. I've seen several people say those are good, probably the top choice that's not a Vortex Genie.
  7. Gone and sold off on clearance just a few months ago. They don't even offer the Mantic Points stuff anymore (missed my chance at getting the Martian Zombies)
  8. Most problematic is that they shoot the minis from a top down angle instead of straight on, completely making the tiny letter unreliable as a measuring gauge as it's nearly impossible to tell exactly how tall they are when the letters' height is obscured/inflated by 50% or more depending on the angle.
  9. Came in thinking they would be from the zombie animals kickstarter, stayed for the nice paintjobs ;-)
  10. Limited items like the repercon bag are not going to be restocked, if they have some you'd best buy them before they run out.
  11. I actually forgot that brush-only orders ship free, and they ship quickly as well.
  12. Only inventory I do is with Paint Rack (android). There is sorting option in the app that you could use, although I find it's a little hit and miss as it's based on supplied color swatches which are not always exact matches anyway).
  13. Get them from Jackson's Art - free shipping level is easy to reach, and you can get #1s for about 11 bucks and #2s for 13.
  14. Some stuff hangs in the hobby area, some gets stuck on cases and palettes, duplicates of cards and such get used as coasters. The one Reapercon magnet I got is on my vortex mixer.
  15. Got my shipping notice for the wave 2, should have my Box Full of Evil tomorrow!
  16. I've added a lot more since, but I try to keep some order to them: https://forum.reapermini.com/index.php?/topic/84246-how-do-i-make-a-super-cheap-paint-rack/&tab=comments#comment-1783760
  17. There should still be some bottles out in the wild, might even find some floating around in a bay somewhere.
  18. If they are going to continue to offer the exclusive minis and paint online after the show, there's not much point in selling the bags post-con - especially if they're not cheaper than buying the stuff separately. Keep selling the stuff individually post-con, and put any extra bags in rotation with the regular retail order swag. It's funny, as a few years ago they were resistant to the idea of offering anything from the bag separately whenever the idea was brought up. It makes more sense, and allows them to move the extra stock without having to worry about running out of stuff or dedicating more time to assembling bags.
  19. I'd also suggest using a small piece of sponge or the foam that's usually included with minis, to apply different tones to give a more natural look to the dirt/rocks.
  20. I think it's the lack of any third party vendor stuff, not just product samples, that really makes this years bag 'light'. Usually there was a lot of vendor ad materials, a few discount codes, as well as other useful things for gamers and hobbyists. This year was just a handful of Reaper's own advertising, in duplicate. The con attendees absolutely should be taken care of first, but last year they were clear that the bags being assembled post-con would be missing more things as they released them in waves. They also waited several business days before putting any online, allowing more time to communicate. This year they were up the first business day after the con, with no indication they'd been scaled down. Granted, the people that usually did the communicating are no longer there.
  21. that's an excellent point, they did mention it was about 500 more than last year.
  22. FYI, The paints are now also available, making none of the Reaper stuff truly exclusive. Search for Reapercon on the store to find it. I forget about the mimic - It had fallen into the box and thankfully went unnoticed by the dog while I was at work. They do make nice stuff at Galadoria (can't wait for the 2nd KS to ship). Wouldn't be an issue of they didn't say multiple times, especially on Reaper Live, that every bag gets them. Oh well, 2 years in a row is enough, lesson learned - next time wait for the individual stuff to be added to the store and save money.
  23. Got mine today - much like last year, the value is missing from the bag. No Darksword or Bombshell mini, no cool little plane mini, old/past year's pen, small water-cup, 2 of every Reaper advertisement - it was simply missing a lot of what was shown from the stuff posted by people that got them on-site. Seeing as they sell the con minis on the website, the only thing of any real rarity is the 3 paints - and those are clearly not worth $50 to acquire. At least I got a notebook and Badger's sample primer this year, and the wooden die is quite nice. Next year, I'll just get the stuff I want off the site, instead of over-paying for a handful of things I don't. Anyone who missed out this year, you're lucky to not have missed much - get the con minis (including the attendee only one) from the store and save.
