I'm in, there are some items I want that I hope to get displayed soon, but I am not super excited. Definitely will be spending less this go around than any prior Bones KS.

Bones 5 Kickstarter Figure Assembly Questions & Advice
turbocooler replied to Guindyloo's topic in Reaper General & Faq's
Anyone with the Dungeon Dwellers box assemble the dragon yet? The leg seems to leave a very big gap. I have done multi-piece figures before and I am no stranger to filling things in with green stuff, but I am finding I need to do more than anticipated.- 69 replies

Love the table, enjoy all your new toys. I am certain it would have been instant divorce if I had purchased that much. -

I have use Green Stuff World Glow in the Dark Pigment. You mix with clear paint medium. I would mix small amounts at a time. -

I was Wave 5. I see that I received the commercial packaging of the Wrights Anyway, my pledge arrived today. My 14yr old niece was over because my sister dropped her off so she could do some errands alone and she helped me unpack. At 30lbs, mine seems large to me but sounds small compared to some of the responses I have seen with people having 79lb orders and multiple boxes. My wife asked me "I thought you said it was a small order?", I said "it is, you should see what others ordered". She was not buying it, she did a heal pivot and walked away while giving my niece's hair a tousle and telling her to "take your uncle home with you when you leave because I do not want him in the house anymore" -- many giggles ensued from my niece and even the dog gave her a sharp bark. I believe the Learn to Paint Kit is well done. The new booklet reads very well. The 12 miniatures they included all look good. I gave one of the kits to my niece since it was for her anyway and she dug into it and it gave her something to do that she likes to do anyway which is paint. She started on Tristan and had it almost complete before my sister arrived. She was very happy with the LTPK. I had given her lessons before and this was not her first miniature. I set her up on my wet pallet and she dived in without fear. I tried to help but she said "I got this" so I just sat back and unpacked the other miniatures. She texted me that she wanted to have a zoom call later so she can show me the finished figure. I wish she would do her school work with the same passion. Anyway, a very happy customer. I believe for all the paints and miniatures you are getting it is an excellent kit they put together and makes for a great present. Now I wish I had purchased more than 3. Too bad they are not available for B 5.5. I guess my Friday night will be spent checking out my new figures and figuring out how to store them all especially the multipart figures. Hope everyone else gets their box of joy soon. -

Does your state not allow you to skip one? Where I live if I serve once, then next time I skip but then the following time I need to go no excuses. -

Just a follow up to be complete, I watched the Reaper Live from this past Thursday. The LTPK did come up. They said the reason it is not in 5.5 is because they plan to do something with it from a retail perspective. -

I have not received my pledge yet, hopefully it ships sometime next week. However, from past reaper live, all the figures are already part of the core set. They are already being produced including in B 5.5. The box is no longer plastic, it will be card board and is being printed in china with the instructions, the box and bag of miniatures is coming from China and then they are putting the paints inside the box in Texas. I am not trying to convince reaper to do anything. Given the list was supposed to be composed of popular items, I was expecting that particular item was popular enough to make the cut. -

I am surprised the Bones 5 Learn to Paint Kit did not make the list for B5.5 given all the miniatures you get and the paints it seemed like a nice gift. I know I purchased 3 for gifts for my nieces and nephews. -

Is there a sub-forum on this board to swap/trade figures? There is a bunch from the core set I would like to swap for something else I rather paint. -

I guess I keep loosing the shipping lottery. I just quadrupled checked, All I was missing was Rune Wights but maybe they stopped shipping retail boxes given the container will arrive on Saturday. -

This is just another example of poor communication. How hard is it to put out a KS update with step by step instructions on what needs to be done for Bones 5.5 pledge manager. I have to agree with some of the backers on the KS page, the information is randomly sprawled in various media with zero consistency Sometimes they give you info on twitch, sometimes the info is buried in some response on KS, sometimes the information is on FB and who know where else. Be consistent at a min. Give people one place to go, that place being KS. -

Ed just posted a comment on the KS with the latest status. They are hoping to get more information on the container on Tuesday. -

Inspection was waived. It is literally sitting on a pile with other containers waiting to be put on some train, ship or other transport vehicle. -

The container is on land. It is on some queue to be shipped. They have been in contact with their shipper but the port ultimately decides what gets released when. -

The container is already several weeks late. We know that customs has been waived but no additional information. I do not have any insider info, but based on other shipping information from the company I work at, it is probably another month away. Those containers are piled up because their is also a trucking and rail shortage. Depending on how big the queue is, it could be a month or more before it is shipped. At this point, nothing we can do but wait. I am guessing end of July the earliest we see that container. -

Just checking in to thank everyone who is posting pictures of the figures they have received. I an happy with the detail I am seeing and know when I get my big box I will be very happy with the quality. My pledge is held up because it contains the Rune Wights miniatures. I am hoping by the end of July my pledge will ship. I keep checking the stream in hopes the banner text changes. -
While I partly understand you answer, just above freezing does not work. I recently ordered some paints from reaper to be deliver in the Northeast. Temps in the low 30s the day it arrived and probably in its travels. The paint was like the consistency of glue until they made it to room temperature -- you could also see color separation. I dropped in a mixing ball and shook up the paints for a few minutes to get them back to usable condition. I do not have A/C as my home was built as part of a G.I. housing program in the early 50s (after WWII). It gets hot and sticky and the paint and sometimes the primer takes over 24hrs to dry so I sometimes use a fan. So, there is obviously someplace in between that works. I did some other digging and reading and even found a video in Spanish by Vallejo where they even stated between 40-50 RH and 18-24C as the optimal range -- I just need to add some more insulation in the room as well as better room only heating/cooling solution.

From the last few episodes of Miniature Monday Twitch Feed there has been discussion about a proper painting environment. This was in regards not just to lighting and a workspace but also temperature and humidity. While there was a general discussion over the last few episodes and many people asking in the comments, it does not seem that any answer was really given. Temperature and humidity affect paint flow and drying time, what is the optimal temperature and humidity for a painting space. Doing some internet searches I found the general consensus of "The ideal humidity level for painting is between 40% and 50%" but this is for painting your home. Is there an optimal range for miniature paints?

Need Help Identifying Reaper Miniature
turbocooler replied to turbocooler's topic in General Fantasy
@TripleH @Brother Jim @Glitterwolf Thanks everyone for the help. Yeah, the metal miniature picture is not coming up but a quick image search on a search engine showed me images. Adding him to the cart, thanks! -
I am trying to create a war band for the skirmish game Ragnarok by Osprey Games. I have attached a picture to a screen shot from a video where they are playing the game. I asked on the video where they got the miniature and they said it was from Reaper. I have tried various searches on the figure finder but cannot seem to get a hit for that particular figure. Anyone recognize that miniature? If anyone wants to see a less blurry picture you can find it at this YouTube link to the game playthrough https://youtu.be/FVoeIHmKumY?t=206 I have tried axe, viking, barbarian, two handed, axe, helmet. Not shows me the image I am looking for. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me

Nope, I have a 5e starter set and have given many away for gifts to help others get started. They are all the same color the color just happens to be random. For example, all red, all blue, all white. I have at least in my experience never seen a 5e starter with mixed dice. The different colors does not bother me but I like the solid colors so I as a DM I know which belong to which player. -

So true, I will be there I know myself. Looking at the pledge manager I am close to $800 but I pledged $300 for this effort.
