    Bad timing for this.

500 points. if I like 3 of the 150's then I have 50 points that cant buy anything... if I want to add another 100 point model, I would go over the 500 by 50 points... can I? this seems a bit more expensive than other KS.... 10 mode level for Orcs was $66. And all the Orcs roughly bigger than human. Here Human and some smaller pick 10 (1500) is $70. And that wont get you things like the Mechanical Horse...

I like a couple here... will keep an eye but don't like the points, and want my gnome mecha....

You can buy the fox, its 50 points. Matter of fact, with 29 days left, if I can swing $12.00 bucks from somewhere (like my bay stuff haha), I want a fox and maybe some 150 point mini:)

For every backer that hates Chibi, there's another backer that will support the project expressly for those models.

The great thing about the way we run our projects is that nobody is ever required to get anything, even the Core Sets we offer up piecemeal, and if you feel a set or grouping isn't worth the value when it includes a few pieces you don't like, then you can pass on that set. Most of the time we figure the sets are a great value, even if there's a few pieces inside that aren't your cup of tea.

There's Chibi. There's Chronoscope. There's Dragons. There's demons. These are all things people have yelled at us and begged us to not include any more of across the previous projects. And there's a couple hundred other things, too. So hopefully you find something in the offering that suits your fancy.

It's not a hatred of Chibi per se (I loved the mr. and mrs. bones, glad buzzy wasnt chibi haha) it's just after soo many years of SD/chibi being brought in by us from Japan, its just a little too much for me. At one point, it felt like everything coming out of Japan was SD/Chibi:)

I think that is the Chibi Adventurers like the paladin depicted in the upper left of the map Bryan shared earlier.

I wasn't disappointed per se, because they are still pretty good sculpts, but they weren't what i was hoping for. i was really excited about the pole arm and the position seemed much more natural in the concept art. might do some converting on this.

Yes I wasn't disappointed per se either, but I did like the way she held the weapon in the concept art. Plus, gave me some trouble when I was trying to match everything up and make sure it was all there:)

December is a placeholder date in the database. More Bones will be released every month until the entire range is available. It does not serve our interests to withhold new releases of product we already have on hand for 5 months for no reason.

That sounds good, because I have seen even more mini's in the core set I want duplicates of:) (cept lizardman, don't need more lizardman haha)

It's possible that I'm going straight up insane, but I could have sworn I've seen a Halfling miniature with a staff sling somewhere. Now I cannot find it to save my life.

I just found a female halfling in a three set who has a sling, not a staff sling but may be close to your needs:)  03359: DHL Classics: Female Halflings

Just gonna point out that there's gonna be a total solar eclipse during KS4, and there ought to be something appropriate for it.

Nope - I am aware of both commercials - but there is (or was) a slightly longer version of the Alice Cooper commercial, which ends with Cooper riding the cart and going 'Wheee!' - not rejoicing in his kid going back to school, but in being a kid, himself.

    The Auld Grump

I never even knew he did a commercial for them, too funny:)

  9. Okay if this is not allowed here, please delete, but I needed to share because this is way too funny. So if you know the band nitro from the 80's, you know they were loud and pretty awesome. Anyway, the lead singer Jim Gillette and guitarist Michael Angelo (baito) are reforming the band with Lamb of God Drummer Chris Adler. and doing it through indiegogo (its like kickstarter from what I understand). I am not sure they are trying to do a true metal album or trying to do something along the lines of Spinal Tap. Watch the video, its just too hilarious (especially them trying to parody Jim Gillette looking like the guy from Ghost hunters. too funny).

Yes, and we have in the past provided well over a dozen reminders to have your pledge rewards selections locked in, and a final deadline for adding new rewards between 8 and ten months after the PM opens.

We're simply a sponsor. We are not running the event or attending the event.

this boils down to unit cost per backer on the Bones 1 Core Set being high enough after expenses.

We will continue to podcuce new models in the new darker color shat shows detail better, although rigidity of a piece is t the mercy of the needs of the piece.

This all sounds great, I think I'll definitely be getting something this time around:) Especially after getting my core set off Ebay:) Great stuff!

  11. So question about two of the figures from the Pretty Deadly group from the Bones III core set.

#256 on core set picture (part number 77488) Skara, Female Skoli

#258 on core set picture (part number 77490) Mara Frostblade, Antipaladin

So on the core set picture, Skara seems to be holding a halberd(?) pointing down and her sword sheathed, but the mini I have, she is holding the halberd up and her sword in her opposite hand.

and on Mara, the shield is the same more or less, but she has just a regular/short sword, not the bigger (possibly falchion?) weapon as in the picture.

Did these two figures have a last minute change after the conceptual artwork was done?

Have you read about the tricks to prevent mold?  One is to change out the water frequently and to clean the sponge or change the paper towel.  You can add a little bit of bleach or other disinfectant to the water or sponge.  I've used Lysol spray for instance.  Another technique is to use copper wire or sheet in the wet palette.  If it is drying out, you could put it in a zip lock bag.  With my wet palette, I keep the water level a little below the parchment paper and add more water as necessary when it dries out.  As an aside, sometimes I'll put a well palette in a zipper bag with a sponge or a wet paper towel to keep it going a little longer.

I have stopped using it right now because I have not had the time to paint, but once my work area in the kitchen is organized, I'll give these tips a try. Much appreciated!

seems to be variable. I've gotten some very rigid white bones, and some sort of wiggly grey ones in bones 3.

Yah the wild west oz monkey seemed real wiggly, as well as ms. bones (though she wasnt grey). Overall I was quite happy with them all, even the two female warriors from pretty deadly set (156 and 158) that seemed to have their poses/weapons changed.

    That's interesting ...

I thought people have said the newer grey Bones were a bit more rigid / less bendy

I didn't really notice it much on the wizard of oz figures I got from ebay, ill have to pay attention more when I do my core set unboxing and let you know.

Unfortunately my wet-palette snaps close rather than fully seals, so it doesn't do a very good job of keeping paint from day to day.

I have a can of quickshade. Will try it on some sacrificial minis another time.

I am having a similar problem with mine. Its a 99 cent store tupperware knock off you'd use for like a sandwich, and either I am not doing the palette right or its actually sealing too well because my palette 1) seems to dry out too quickly and 2) it seems to mold up:( maybe it sits on my kitchen table too much in sun:(
