  1. Well, the Halloween outfits for the cats finally turned up. Y'know, the ones that I ordered at the beginning of September To add insult to injury, they're both far too small. Oh well, such is the perils of ordering direct from the country of manufacture. At least they were cheap
  2. Nice! We're going to a sushi place tomorrow because Wednesday is Half Price Veggie day. It's one of the awesome places with the little conveyor belt that carries the plates past you. The food is freshly made, always delicious and they have unlimited miso soup. Really looking forward to it.
  3. I'm a bit of a soft touch when it comes to new paints. I've currently got a mix of Reaper, all the different Vallejo lines, GW, Scale 75, Army Painter(inks only), Instar, P3 and Greenstuff World paints. I had some Coat d' Arms but I gave them away as I found them really watery. That said, Reaper is my 'go to' brand that I use 90% of the time, but I'm always happy to try other companies, especially if it's an ink/wash or metallic. Which reminds me, there's some new Vallejo colour shift boxes that I have to find.....
  4. I was going to say that we need one for cats, but since we have one that will point her foreleg at you (meaning "you") and then point her leg at the door (meaning "open that"), I'm not too sure we actually need one It's just a silly little site that I try to pop into everyday, mostly because i like cute animal stuff and really odd science posts. Like this one about how you could make an earthquake warning system with the help of cats. https://www.boredpanda.com/seismologist-earthquake-warning-system-cats-celeste-labedz/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic Not forgetting the guide on how to identify famous artists paintings. My favourite is "If everyone looks like hobos illuminated only by a dim streetlamp, then it's Rembrant" https://www.boredpanda.com/famous-paintings-artists-how-to-recognize/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic

    CLEAR Colors

There is a Clear Orange, but you have to grab it quick- it was a limited edition with two other Clears made for this years Reapercon. It's still available in the online shop, but it probably won't be restocked once it's gone. https://www.reapermini.com/search/clear/latest/09896

    A collection of Darksword minis

Oh, those are fantastic! I really love the muted colours
  8. I can see why you're hesitant, you put a lot of work into it and it looks great. There is a fair bit of negative space in between some of the minis though, so I think you could redo it on a smaller scale very successfully. You could even buy more minis! Edit: ninja'd by our resident Rakshasa
  9. C'mon, you've got to show us pictures now.....
  10. Yeah, what the Fox said Although I do keep on thinking about trying to separate the two dragons from my spare Dance of Death.......
  11. Happy Monday everyone, hope this day goes fast for everyone having to work. Hope you recover soon @Jasper_the_2nd, stomach bugs are awful For everyone who needs a little bit of cheering up, here's a story about someone who taught their dog to "talk" https://www.boredpanda.com/custom-soundboard-dog-talk-christina-hunger/?utm_source=bing&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic
  12. Everyone knows that the national animal of Scotland is the Unicorn and many people have heard of the Wild Haggis of the lowland hills, but today I'm going to tell you about a far rarer and noble beast, the Solas na greine Feidh. It's name roughly translates as the "Stag that catches the light on it's antlers" and it's an apt description which has led to a long and relentless persecution of this noble beast. Spanning wider than the mightiest human warriors, it's antlers are the colour of the finest electrum coins gleaming in the fading sunlight. Winter is when you are most likely to catch a glimpse of this most elusive of creatures where they retreat from the fierce storms of the tallest mountains and descend to the last remnants of the once all-encomposing ancient caledonian forest. Deep in these remote woodlands, its haunting beautiful song led me to its resting place, where upon I finally set eyes to this fairest creature while it chased a wild haggis around a sunlit glen. An enchanting sight, let me tell you, until they suddenly stopped and turned towards me, though I made no noise. Startled by my presence, the wild haggis lept to safety on to the feidh's antlers, as it turned and disappeared into the undergrowth. Here my tale ends and the proof is in the sole photograph I managed to take.
  13. Just finished my last shift for 2 weeks Can't afford to go anywhere, so I'm planning a heady mix of going for some decent walks, wildlife watching, heading to the Christmas markets and a lot of painting. Weather looks good for the next couple of days, so that's a bonus. But first I need a decent nights sleep, hopefully my neighbours won't make too much noise going to work tomorrow morning
  14. That is all colours of fantastic @malefactus. I hope it works even better than you hope it does.
  15. Dude, you never go full Fraggle
  16. Thanks for the heads up, I just checked the episode listing and that indeed is the ending. Hopefully I'll be able to get through the entire zero in the next few weeks. I've been slowly working my way through the early seasons of Supernatural whilst painting, so Fraggle Rock should be a good change. Here's the theme song so everyone else can get it stuck in their heads https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KLQS6xo40kI

    Reaper Bones - Mushroom King

Wow, the red contrasts so well with the muted colours of the base. The base itself is fantastic!
  19. Kuroneko

    Bones 4 Skeletal Dragon

He looks awesome! I love the weathering, it makes him look really knarly and ancient.
  20. Kuroneko

    Bones 4 Wyvern

I like him, very naturalistic! He reminds me of a Rathian from Monster Hunter. The base is great too.

    First Mini Ever

Hold on, you painted the eyes on your first mini? I didn't do that for YEARS after starting He looks great!

    Bear King - Effincool Miniatures

I love how you managed to differentiate between the hair, cloak and clothes. All those browns could've easily just merged into each other, but you did a really good job on them.

    Vatanis, Maggotcrown Necromancer - 03846

I love the freehand on the cloak, it looks like it's glowing. Great job!
  24. So, I've been looking for something to have on in the background whilst painting AND I just found out that 4 seasons of Fraggle Rock are available on Amazon Prime. Coincidence? I think not!
