My plan was a new Iwata Micron for me and a new Mobile phone for my half, but my mom needs a new pellet stove (firewood is quite expensive where she lives, so not an option.) Soooo that's it! Also some art supplies for my nieces.

Hello forum family, finally I managed to paint my version of the Fire giant from the game Blood rage. As I was fearing (I was a bit intimidated by the idea of painting it) it was a pain in the bumbum π Fire sword means OSL... Fire giant giant means fire environment so more OSL π. On blue skin... smart! Also lot of metals and details. Anyway took lot of hours but it worth the pain (I think). This are the Hi-Res Pics in case someone is interested. Edit: just noted after I've posted the 3D that there is, on the sword handle, a little piece of the blob used to mask the metals before varnish the model with ultra matte varnish... well, who cares π Hope you like it, as always every C&C is more than welcome. Thanks!

I can assimilate the candy's wrapping than I trow away. Basically I can get fatter just by breathing. Even just looking at food make me assimilate some calories. Also being glutton doesn't help π Edit: note than I did not used purple formatting... WTFH π

As a painter I prefer resin; anyway it always depends by the quality: plastic is also good if you do not have to fight with absurd gaps. Between bones and metal I think metal is better, but I have to say that bones black is very good. Can't speak about 3D printing cause I don't own a printer.

Thank you for the explanation! We also have tarts made with pumpkin (sweet) or courgette (salty). Now I'm hungry πͺ

Don't know what a squash tart is (sorry for being so European), but the caramelized onion sounds interesting π Also keep going with turkey receipts: being an EU citizen I've never seen an entire turkey cooked at once. But I can still dreaming reading about it π

Broccoli! (< not forum censorship actual broccoli). They looked at me with hope, but I've taken out the Secreto Iberico instead (special cut of special Spanish pig). A man have his priority... π·

Thank you, I've used Magenta instead of red, I was not sure it would look good, but in the end it works π

As a painter, I would love to see something similar to the "Green Stuff World" new hollow bases, as they are fantastic to make custom bases. -
Thank you guys, glad to see you like it π

Hello forum family, as title says I wanna show you my version of the Sea Serpent from Blood Rage game. Nothing special here, I've speed-painted it cause I'm trying to finish painting all the minis of the game and this is the monster I like less. So basically, large use of the airbrush, Inks and undiluted paints, trying anyways to don't make it looks like a blob π Only the Fire Giant left... But I'm a bit intimidated by him... In the end is not so bad, I like it. Hope you like it too π

I would go for both A or C. I never use black on zenithal, but a dark gray followed by white; but if you wanna add so more deep you may spray some black from below, as @R2ED and @rubegon already said.

I would approve it too π It looks quite confortable! NN Brutus!!! π΄

townspeople Drab in green and red - townsperson
Cicciopiu replied to R2ED's topic in Show Off: Painting
Ok first of all I wanna say that I really like the outcome, the effect is looking good, but more than shades it looks like red OSL. When they say to use red to shade green or vice versa is intended both as glaze or mixing the "shadow" color into the base color, and apply it in steps, blending it into the base color. Also, my advice, for that matter, is to get rid of that color wheel and use a "real color wheel", where the opposite of green, in the subtractive color theory, is Magenta, and not red. It also may you re-think our (wrong) vision of the primary color to be Red, Yellow and Blue when the real one are Magenta, Cyan and Yellow; Red and blue are secondary colors: you may obtain Red by mixing Magenta and Yellow, or Blue by mixing Magenta and Cyan. Try to mix out Magenta: you can't.
