  1. Thanks for the feedback. Sorry for the delayed response. I have been at a conference and was not able to check-in.
  2. Thank you for all of the feedback. I appreciate it. (Sorry for the delayed response. I was out @ PAX East and not online all that much)
  3. Wow. Thanks very much. Sorry that I missed this. I appreciate it. Todd
  4. Thanks very much for the response. I appreciate the info. I unfortunately wasn't as clear as I should have been in my post. I attached a picture tp clarify for others. The small piece in the center is what everything attaches to. To pin the mini it just doesn't seem like there is enough space on that small piece. There are some beautifully painted ones out there, so it must be possible, it just isn't clear how to put 8 pins into it. My guess is the plastic one is easier to pin, but you had to contend with the same amount of limited space. Sorry that I missed that other thread. I will check it out. I appreciate it.
  5. Hello, Sorry if this is a basic question. I'm looking to put together and paint 03465: Shaerileth, Spider Demoness (https://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/03465: shaerileth, spider demoness/latest/03465), but I'm not sure how to pin it. The cephalothorax (I think that is what it is called) is fairly small with a large front body and large abdomen. There are also separate legs that go into the front part (2) and then rest into the same small area. It seems way too heavy to stay together unpinned. I hope this is the correct place to post the question. If you have any suggestions I will greatly appreciate the ideas. Thank you.
  6. I thought I would give modifying a miniature a shot and decided that Gris Knotslip would be my victim. I replaced the axe with a dagger, the lamp/sword with a sack, chopped off the top of his head to remove the little hat and gave him hair and new goggles from Victoria Miniatures. It came out okay. The sack looks a little too bulbous. Looking at it with the naked eye it looks ok, but like usual the photos make the paint look very chunky. I tried to go with this cracked earth over red on the base, but it didn't work as well as I hoped and I would up covering it mostly over with other stuff anyway. I couldn't find any other examples of this mini painted, so I did my best to try and pick out all of the little details. There are a lot of things really recessed and hard to get to. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks.
  7. Thanks. I have been using Vallejo and Games Workshop paints, but I just got some Reaper paints. I will give them a shot. Todd
  8. This is great. What is the trick to getting the colors to be clear, smooth and bright like that? No matter how thin I make my paints, they still look chunky to me. Todd
