  1. It might be Bones 5 coming, but I'm inspired to get as much Bones 4 painted atm xD
  2. I decided to try an experiment on the shell, to give it the shimmering multi colour shell you see on real beetles. I can say I like the results :) The shell is silver with 3 gemstone paints blended on top, green red and blue. V_20200216_132605_vHDR_Auto.mp4
  3. Painted this guy close to the Monster Manual, but all blue was a bit boring. So added a few details. Especially happy on the gemstone eyes.
  4. The blonde brother of the gingerbeard. Quite happy on the result.
  5. Dirtied him up a bit, makes a big difference although the picture doesn't really show it well
  6. I love that you noticed, he was to blue originally, gave him a green wash to get more swampy as he belonged there
  7. This is exactly what I aimed for. I thought about giving the fish X.X eyes, but that was to comical :p Thanks! The texture on the skin made it very nice to work with. I'm personally most proud of the disgusting lumps on his back :p
  8. Ty! And feel free to, I had seen it done by someone else first aswell. Now that you mention it.. I can see it =)
  9. I'll wash him again when I get home :) I had tested to do the wash under the final thin layer of skin, in an effort not to darken the skintone to much. I'll consider that experiment failed and do a regular wash as final layer.
  10. You are very right. I had given him a base coat in darker red with 2 thin coats of skin, ánd a wash (albeit under the 2nd coat) but it turned out quite flat. I haven't had much experience yet working on skintones. I'm currently working on a 2nd hill giant where I'm gonna try to work abit more on the skintones.
  11. This guy may need a pedicure more then any of us..!
  12. Had to paint this when I saw the sculpt. My first time trying Marble effect to. It was tough to make out a broken marble pillar, but I'm happy on the result
  13. I loved everything about this guy from bones 4 pictures to delivery to painting to result!
  14. My gryphon suffers heavily from a top heavy wing. After 3 hot and cold baths I took a less pretty option of making a 3rd point of contact. It shows, but it works!
  15. I saw the colorpattern of the dragons before, but it inspired me for my color scheme finally. Dragonlance anybody?
  16. This is great to see from start to (near) finish, well done!
  17. For a minute I thought he was swimming upside down, all due to the lack of a big fin on top. Interesting creature!
  18. You've inspired me to do mine! I've been contemplating how to do them, with the running paint if I put a wash on. I'm gonna follow your 'guide' in here and see where I end up. Ty!
  19. Those look great! I can't unsee the behind of the mamlord though, jesus :p
  20. It was mentioned by Jon on other social's they're stocking EU this week. Expect to see them in stock from there end of this week (friday-ish). They're not being printed in EU, and it's not like they saw this coming from miles away.. This is also why they made a 5k donation ahead of time so the funds can already do their good work in the right hands.
  21. A-ha! So this is where I made the promise. I couldn't find it, I found a facebook post asking the same thing but couldn't find my reply. I guess it was you there aswell, but I'll post the image here aswell for searchers :)
  22. I can measure when I'm home in a few hours if there's no reply by then :)
